Cosmo810 commented on Tech Site T3 Predicts What The Nintendo Smartp...:

I'd get a Nintendo phone for sure, been wanting one for ages. I take my 3DS and my iPhone 4 with me everywhere I go and I always wish they could be one and the same. If Nintendo could make that happen I'd be all over it, no question. The game pad attachment is a genious idea, it allows for a sleek smartphone design to marry with physical buttons. Hope to see something like this one day.

I love my Cosmo Black 3DS! From Nintendogs and Pilotwings to Fire Emblem and Luigi's Mansion, this system has been a ton of fun since day one for me. By the time Animal Crossing and Pokémon come out this year, I can forget about eating, sleeping or having any other life. The XL looks and feels nice, but I'm holding off on picking one up until if/when a Pokémon X/Y special edition comes out.

Cosmo810 commented on Dylan Cuthbert of Q-Games - Nintendo and Wii U...:

I hate to say it, because I don't personally play this genre much or at all, but Nintendo probably should come up with their own FPS for Wii U. Not just a CoD or Halo clone, but something that is uniquely Nintendo yet strongly appeals to the FPS "core" gamer crowd. And it would have to be big, with massive worlds, online functionality, gameplay that is as good or better than all other FPS games out there and something that uses the gamepad to it's fullest potential in a way that is natural AND fun. It has to make mass gaming audiances take notice and feel like they have to have it and play it.

Cosmo810 commented on New Mewtwo Form Revealed For Pokémon X & Y:

@DeviousSnorlax Yeah man I don't disagree about Gen 1 being awesome. I'm saying Gen 1 can be awesome not to the exclusion of later gens. With Gen 5 we got a fire/psychic little creature, samuri otter, elemental monkeys, electirc zebras, Gigalith, a giant mole drill, like I mentioned before Scolipede, a couple of great new fossils, Zoroark, two awesome new dragons, one with three heads, and the genie trio, even though I think their alternate forms are much better than the original forms. Plus Reshiram and Zekrom. In later gens, many of the great ideas that were already drawn upon for the earlier gens just aren't available anymore so they've had to come up with some creative new ones. Some are great, others not as much. But the point remains, if you don't like some of the new ones, don't let it ruin your childhood or your enthusiasm for the games, you know they're still going to be good!

@DeviousSnorlax I just have to disagree with you then. Gen 1 has a lot of great mons, but not all of them are gold. Seel? It's just a seal with a horn that evolves into a bigger seal with a horn. There are "lame" pokémon in every gen, but also awesome ones in every gen too. Gen 5 gave us cool guys like Zorua, Scolipede, cool new dragons and legends even if you don't like the "ice cream cone" and "trash" monsters.

And apparently you do "give a flying..." because it's ruining your childhood! :)

These look really awesome to me! I really like the grass starter, looks like he's got a little attitude.

To all those saying they're going to wait for Pokémon Z, how's Grey Version working out for you?

To those saying it's too soon, there is no rule that states x amount of time must pass between Pokémon releases. I say be happy that we're getting such a consistent flow of fun games.

To those arguing with Molotov, just stop feeding the troll. :)

Cosmo810 commented on Merry Christmas From All At Nintendo Life:

I didn't get any new Nintendo games this year, which is fine because I didn't ask for any and I got plenty of other cool stuff that I did want. One of my favorite Christmas memories was the year I got Mega Man 2 for my NES. Feeling nostalgic, I fired up my Wii for a round of Mega Man 10 last night, had a nice long playthrough with Proto Man. Merry Christmas everyone and happy gaming!

Cosmo810 commented on Pokémon Company Was June's Top Publisher in J...:

@siconlolz I REALLY do not think Pokémon Co. and Nintendo want to keep 3DS owners waiting that long for a true pokémon experience on their new handheld. I believe they'll skip R/S remakes this gen and move right on to producing a game for 3DS. If they do R/S, it could follow that. My guess is that before the first Black and White titles were even released they had already begun work on a 3DS exclusive set of games.

Cosmo810 commented on Bigger Nintendo 3DS Console Revealed:

But, you don't HAVE to get it. If you like your normal 3DS, like I do, just stick with that. You don't have to throw out all your old stuff just because of this. All this is is another option for people. I think people are making way too much fuss over there not being a second circle pad.

@Captain_Hookey I kept laughing as I was reading this because I thought you were joking, but I'm not so sure you where.

To all the complainers, how can this be so negative for all of you? You're all so weird. If it's not your thing, don't get it. If you really want a handheld with a second circle pad so bad, guess what, there's a thing called Vita. Might be more what you're looking for.

As for me, I'm sticking with my standard issue 3DS. Still love that thing.

Cosmo810 commented on Feature: The Best Moments of E3 2011:

E3 last year was great. This is going to be one long week, waiting for Nintendo's press conference next week. I'm more looking forward to 3DS game news than Wii U. I guess that's because I have a 3DS right now and am loving it a lot. I sure hope Luigi's Mansion 2, Animal Crossing and Paper Mario get release dates and I'm of course hoping for even more new 3DS games to be shown.

Cosmo810 commented on Feature: Retro Console Launches - NES:

I remember playing NES at my parents friends house for the first time and instantly getting hooked. Later, a neighborhood friend of mine got one and we played it all summer long. It must have been 1988 before my brother and I finally saved up enough to get ours. We got the bundle with the orange zapper, man that thing was sweet. So many fun times with that system.

I do remember the TV ads of the day. To a young boy, seeing those ads was like getting a glimpse into a different world. And when a new Nintendo Power arrived in the mail, forget about doing anything else for the rest of the day!

Finally, there was nothing better than going into a store and staring at the wall of video games for sale while Mom shopped in the grocery section. Before the internet, this is how we'd learn about new games a lot of times. Those were the good old days.

Edit: One more thing - learning that Nintendo games were made in Japan blew my mind. It made these games feel even more magical because they came from a place I had no understanding or knowledge of other than through movies and old stereotypes. The world as a whole seemed so much bigger back then, before the internet and before I had the privilege to travel very much.

Cosmo810 commented on Nintendo Download: 24th May 2012 (North America):

@Tasuki Yeah, I have a GBA still (which I love and will never get rid of) and I know I could go pick up used GameBoy games, but I'd prefer to just wait for them to be released via download. Just me. But I'm not screaming and yelling about it, just waiting patiently while I play other great games like Mario Tennis Open!

@3DSLUIGI I very much doubt that Nintendo will spend one ounce of effort explaining their past eShop release schedule at E3. They're going to have more important and exciting things to talk about!

@TheDreamingHawk People want it because we haven't had the opportunity to play it and make up our own minds on it. Even if you say it isn't that good, I'd still like to play it. But I can keep patiently waiting for it and Wario Land (might as well add Kirby 2 to the list). Will be grabbing G&W2 though!

Cosmo810 commented on Mario Kart 7 Update Available Now:

The cool thing is though, once your VR gets higher around 2500 or more and you're playing other players with that level or higher VR, I found that a lot less people would select Maka Wuhu. It seemed that good players didn't want to choose that course.

Cosmo810 commented on Mario Kart 7 Update Available Now:

@theblackdragon Guys, I've said it twice now, I'm glad they fixed it too. But I'm not ashamed for having exploited the Maka Wuhu glitch when almost everyone else I raced against was using it too. If you want to get all uptight and look down your nose about it that's fine, have fun propping yourself up as some kind of superior gaming purist. But no, I'm not going to just lie down and let all the noobs beat me, or power down my system, just because people like you say it's cheating.

And for the record, I never select Maka Wuhu. I'm a good enough racer that I select Random every time, I don't need to pick the courses with the glitches to win.

Cosmo810 commented on Mario Kart 7 Update Available Now:

@Jahir Relax "dude." It was simply exploiting the same shortcut that typically at least 5 out of 7 other users in the race were also exploiting. Everyone knew about it, and it hadn't been fixed until now, so I don't call it cheating. I enjoyed beating the noobs at their own game. Taking the high road (not exploiting the same glitch that nearly everyone else was) in this particular instance only resulted in you placing near the bottom of the pack every time Maka Wuhu was selected, and I wasn't content to settle for that.

Like I said before, I'm glad it's fixed, but I wasn't crying over people doing it before it was.
