Clayfrd commented on Review: Rampage (NES):

@slapshot82 and Chicken Brutus - I've always liked the series (this game included), but I tried to review fairly and without bias. For anyone who has never heard of this game, it's pretty average. I will, however, be as biased and nostalgic as possible in my dealings with Mortal Kombat, warioswoods ;).

Clayfrd commented on Review: Art Style: AQUITE (DSiWare):

@Henric - My thoughts exactly. I like the game, but I could probably beat any given level without looking (until the last part, of course). Speaking of that, it also seems that the last bit of every timed dive can occasionally be impossible to solve. I'd give an example, but I can't think of one at the moment.

@Dazza - Wouldn't you know it... my best one came to mind right after I posted the first. They always told me he who hesitates is lost. That's the last time I listen to the voices in my head.

Nice review, sir. I once again think I'll pass on a WiiWare game. I honestly haven't been excited by the service recently, but I might finally pick up Bubble Bobble and Nyx.

Clayfrd commented on Prepare To Gnash Those Teeth: Perfect Dark May...:

@Damo - "I'm not so sure that the Rare of today lacks talent; Nuts and Bolts is a lot of fun and if Viva Pinata was on the Wii, I'd guess that people would make a LOT more fuss about it. Also, the DS version was brilliant.

I think the problem is that Rare is still making Nintendo-style games on the 360, and the sad fact is that most 360 owners ignore them."

I agree 100%, the 360, as much as I like it, is a console that is absolutely saturated in FPS fans. Most unfortunate. Oh, and Nuts & Bolts is fantastic.

On to my own comments:
Let me make one thing clear: Microsoft owns Rare, Rare owns the intellectual properties behind BK and BT, therefore, by extension, Microsoft owns Banjo-Kazooie. Why don't people get this? I've read at least a comment or two that displayed absolute ignorance to the mere concept of ownership. So, here's my list of responses:
@MegaMX4- Nope, MS owns Rare, so that's not going to happen. Handheld releases are the exception because MS is not in that business.
@Betagam7- Well... I'm not targeting you. I agree with you. I bought the 360 for SFIV, GTAIV, and Rare products. There are lots of other games I ended up playing, though.
@TwistedVivid - Nope.
@Cheesy - They were sold.
@yoda87960- No, none of them own the rights to Bond; that's why it wasn't released.
@HARDCORE-NINTENDO-FAN - Chill on the caps. Also, it's spelled traitor. Additionally, have you tried any of their other games, or are you just too insecure... ahem... I mean grown up to play Banjo?

In closing, would it kill any of us to just get a 360? Just this one game wouldn't justify it, but there are plenty that would.

Clayfrd commented on Reggie: We’ll Be Better at E3 This Year:

E3 '08 was abysmal for N. If they reveal a new F-Zero, my life will be complete. On a related note, why no Captain Falcon RPG (yes)? Okay, that would be ridiculous, but he's such an awesome character that we need a game with him outside the Blue Falcon. No SSB doesn't count.

Clayfrd commented on Review: Game & Watch Collection (DS):

@J.K.- The $800 bit was simply a conversion factor. If a Wii game costs $50 and awards you 50 coins, then the two values are in a 1/1 ratio, making a coin worth approximately $1. You could go into petty details about feedback coins, et cetera, but the point was to emphasize that the game will set you back quite a bit if you plan to invest in that many Nintendo products.

Furthermore, in regards to the comment about coins eventually being void... is there any reason why you couldn't just hold on to your product reg codes until you need them? Absolutely not. The oldest Wii codes don't expire until Nov. 19, 2010 (I believe), so if you registered them the day before, you'd still have another two years to hold out. If Nintendo still doesn't release something else by then, I will withdraw my review, go into hiding, and never be heard from again.*

*Probably not.
