"Not a bumper week!?" Not a bumper week if it ain't your thang I guess. Best week for me in a looooong, long time. Art of Balance 3d and new Mighty Switch Force will have my nose stuck into my 3ds for ages... Well, til next week at least!
Well, this review and the comments that have followed it have convinced me. I'm-a pick this one up tomorrow afternoon!
@Waveboy Kirby's Return to Dreamland was decent, and real cracking fun when you've got three other mates to play with. It's well worth diving into if you find the time, co-op or solo, but it's not the cute pink ball's finest hour. Just don't let those super power up thingies spoil your enjoyment of the game, admittedly they're the least fun part of it all, but there's plenty other colourful, manic Kirby platforming to sink your teeth into!
Cheers all who responded! Looks like a definite double download for me then. Rayman Origins, I've obviously heard about how great its art style and its co-op gameplay is, and I'll finally get to find out about that myself, and in beautifully rendered stereoscopic 3d too! And as for the pink ball of fluff, well, I can't pass up the opportunity to play more Kirby. Especially as his copy ability has finally been added to the game, which is what makes Kirby Kirby! So yeah, roll on Thursday!
@Kitsune_Rei I sure did play the harder mode! It was certainly noticeably more difficult, but still over in a flash. Does the second game have a harder mode too?
Not sure whether or not to get Kirby's Dreamland 2 or not, as the first one was too short and too easy. Will definitely plow into some free Rayman tasters though, it's been a long while since I've played on one of his games, maybe it'll convince me to buy the full version?
Worth downloading for the modern version of Chef alone. It's the finest Game and Watch remake I've ever played, and super addictive. The classic version of Vermin is also a favourite of mine.
Pass this article to Nintendo, as I agree with it 100%. SMB2 is a real platforming gem. I've no idea how a modern updated version will look or play like, but the mass amounts of possibilities for excellent playability and instant nostalgia are astounding ... Shyguys are the real success story from that game. And maybe Pokeys. They're in almost every Mario release nowadays! Ninjis, Beezos, Phantos, Snifits, Cobrats and Pansers just off the top of my head, all could do with a belated comeback!
The screenshots make this look like a cross between Micro Machines and the original Grand Theft Auto. Looks ace and sounds like a lot of fun... 900pts seems like a steal!
The fact it has all the Wiiware stages is a tad disappointing as I've already played it through. But as there's multiple solutions to almost every level, I don't mind too much!
Love the Wii versions. Being in control of the whole team is fairly difficult to master, but oh so rewarding with each perfectly weighted pass you make to unlock defences. Hope they don't ditch that control scheme if they move the series onto Wii-U.
@MickeyMac Mass Attack has weird controls??? They couldn't be simpler and easier to use! It makes it an essential purchase in my eyes, but I'm not quite sure whether I'd spot it in any bargain bins just yet...
@TimboBaggins what about Plants versus Zombies? Now THAT'S a weird concept...
I've always thought this game would be ideal for 3ds, and the fact Angry Birds isn't on 3ds is why I've hardly played it. It's throwaway fun while it lasts I suppose.
The fact they're bringing out a new "2d Mario platformer" out on the 3ds, along with Mario Tennis and Paper Mario speaks volumes. Love him to bits though, Mario was my gateway into gaming with the original Super Mario Bros and I enjoy almost every release that has his name on it since without fail.
Not a fan of Street Fighter tbh, but the fact that it has online capability is just pure win. Not a great week for me, but I still have to try out that Farming Simulator demo, might keep me busy for five minutes...
@ThomasBW84 Thank you good sir! That clears things up for me.
Really would like to try this game out before I fork out my hard-earned on it. Both this one and the last one have certainly had me intrigued! Oh, and it's definitely football... Not soccer

I considerably prefer bowls, yet I don't even think that has a simulation on any platform! But, even if it did, I wouldn't buy it.

And Sonic Labyrinth, although the cover makes it look good fun, it's infamously the worst Sonic game ever made. No thanks.
