@Octane i think it depends how you pay, on amazon if you pay with paypal they take the money straight away but if you pay on card you're not charged until it ships

i know they dont charge straight away because i had the persona 5 art book on preorder for ages and eventually cancelled it when they date just got put back and back over and over

@Late yeah, touch controls are great, made me realize i can use the switch without the joycons attached as a tablet.
i've had really bad luck so far, i only have one healer and after i left her in the bar to relax while i took some new guys out (who all died) she drank too much and has gone missing. had to do another dungeon with no decent healer while i hope she comes back.

Re: Double Dragon - Arcade Archives

i played through the game the other night after i bought it and noticed there was slow down when there was 4 or more characters on screen, i cant remember if the arcade version was the same.

still a great game. glad to have it with me at all times for impromptu co-op sessions

So that's me buying dark souls another couple of times. Switch for the novelty of dark souls anywhere and PS4 to get that last souls platinum I need for my collection.

I do hope there's local co op on the switch version.
I want to play some café souls

@zionich without saying too much as long as you're around the same level as the enemies when you get to the final chapter you shouldnt be over levelled for the final boss

I finished it a few days ago and just jumped straight back in. I still feel like there's so much I haven't seen. Got some blades to get still. I'm sure there's a trick to using the boosters on the cores I'm missing.
Need to get all cities to 5 star. All deeds to all stores.

But first, now that I've finished it I think it's finally safe to look at that massive art book.

Re: Why is Zelda: Link to the Past so highly regarded compared to 3D Zelda games?

cadaver138

Link to the past is the game that set in stone what makes a Zelda game, the first game was a success, they tried something very different for adventure of link. It was no so well received, and then link to the past came out going back to its roots, but building on it so much more, it looked amazing for its time, it had side quests, hidden items, a long and great story with twists. It was just the very best a Zelda could be at that time. Years later the N64 came out and Nintendo embraced 3d, this more traditional style of Zelda became the standard for the handheld titles that came next.

I understand where you're coming from when you say you feel Zelda is missing something if it's not 3d but without the 2d Zelda as a foundation we may of never got ocarina of time.

Re: How could the new Zelda Game better than Botw?

cadaver138

@iLikeUrAttitude if EA made Zelda there would of been multiple editions at launch so you can prove you're more of a fan by getting a plastic statue. And they definitely would of sold a day one season pass for half the price of the game with no details about what it contains.

Good job Nintendo didn't do that... Oh

But seriously. I'd like a more traditional Zelda again next. Breath of the wild didn't do anything for me personally.
I would like a better story, dungeons with enemies in, areas that are inaccessible until I get the next item (hookshot etc) and just a general feeling that I'm saving the world.
In breath of the wild I was a amnesiac with a iPad that people wanted to do busy work for them, oh and save the world, eventually, if I wanted to, it didn't really feel like the world was in that much danger. All the interesting stuff that sounded like a good video game happened 100 years ago

Re: Darkest Dungeon coming to Switch

cadaver138

Just seen on destructoid that's it's been submitted to Nintendo and is awaiting certification. They expect an early next year release and crimson court and shieldbreaker dlcs will also be available at launch.
Really looking forward to this, I stopped playing it on vita as soon as it was announced for switch
