@GreatPlayer I don't suck at the game, Sonic Team sucks at designing levels. You would have understood this if you had properly read what I wrote instead of using me to try to put everyone you're trolling about being bad at games in their place. Have fun defending bad games and being generally unpleasant.

Patches can't fix the complete nosedive in level quality the game takes around world 4. I was so excited for this game after how close Sonic Generations was to being a great game and now I'm back to the post Sonic 2006 and Shadow the Hedgehog level of cynicism for any Sonic Team game.

I'm hoping this is the first step towards an account along the lines of Steam where I can play my games on multiple machines without having to do system transfers and the Virtual Console titles I buy can be played on Wii U or 3DS without having to buy separate copies for each system.

I'm really hoping this is the first step towards more Persona games coming to Nintendo consoles. I would buy 3DS ports of Persona 3 and Persona 4 in a heartbeat. I would also be ecstatic if Persona 5 made it's way to the Wii U eventually.

I honestly don't care what lifetime sales of the Wii U are as long as the system gets to a place where sales are profitable and we get a steady stream of first party Nintendo games. I play most third party games on PC so I want my Wii U for Nintendo games. Next year is looking great already with Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Mario Kart 8, and Super Smash Bros. There is also the Monolith Soft game, Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem, and a new Legend of Zelda at some point in the future along with the surprise games Nintendo always have up their sleeves.

I already own Deus Ex: Human Revolution on PC but I imagine this will be another case like Batman: Arkham City where I go ahead and pick up the Wii U version cheap to see the differences the gamepad offers (also because I like playing games more from the comfort of my couch).

This is non-news either way. We know Game Freak would get around to remaking these games at some point as they have with the others. If things go by their usual pattern we'll get Pokemon W or Z (possibly X2 and Y2) in a year to a year and a half. After that we'll likely get the Ruby and Sapphire remakes as it's easier for Game Freak to remake a world instead of coming up with a whole new one. If the 3DS generation lasts as long as the DS (which it likely will), then we'll get the next generation near the end of the handheld's life cycle.

I hope with the enemies showing damage they are going RPG style leveling up like Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. It would help alleviate some of the tedium of fighting enemies that Risky's Revenge suffered from. I liked that game but eventually gave up due to hating battles with regular enemies.

alrighthearthis commented on Ubisoft Explains Wii U Watch_Dogs Visuals as "...:

I don't particularly care about playing games like this on my Wii U. I bought my Wii U primarily to play Nintendo games and third party games designed specifically for the console. I will play games like Watch_Dogs on my PC a few months after release when there is a price drop or good sale on Steam.

I'd say this is a fair score. I love the Breath of Fire series but the SNES entries are more of nostalgic playthorughs for me than for entertainment. I can't repeatedly play them in the same way I can Earthbound, Super Mario RPG, or Chrono Trigger.

alrighthearthis commented on Nintendo Treehouse Staff Reveal The Process Be...:

I admire what the Treehouse employees do but wish there were a better process of deciding what makes it out West, especially when it comes to older games that can easily and cheaply be released in the E-shop like Sin & Punishment was on the Wii. You can't tell me there wouldn't be an audience for the NES Earthbound, Mother 3, the various NES and SNES Fire Emblem titles, and other various Nintendo games that haven't been released outside of Japan. The translations don't have to be Treehouse perfect for those games as Western gamers would just be happy to legitimately play them and a company like XSeed would likely be cheap to contract for such a task.

I don't really care what Bethesda and EA do with their money. Both are playing a high stakes game where most of their products have massive budgets and they need access to the hardware to get the most bang for their buck. They need millions of sales for their games to keep going. Nintendo is focusing on devices that don't require the largest budgets and pushing tech forward, making them a safer investment for people developing for them.

alrighthearthis commented on Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies ...:

I don't mind it being digital only if it is cheaper than the current 3DS games that are also released in retail. They're supposedly doing this because selling the game physically would be too cost prohibitive (which considering how often I saw the first Phoenix Wright in bargain bins is probably true) but publishing digital only is substantially cheaper so they should pass on some of the savings to the consumer. Since the game is the same quality as a retail experience a $30 price tag seems perfectly fair.

alrighthearthis commented on Shadow of the Eternals Fails To Meet Funding Goal:

Dennis Dyack had a great relationship with Nintendo and threw it away to create increasingly mediocre HD games while destroying a once great publisher and putting a lot of people out of work. As much as I love Eternal Darkness, I was never going to put money into a project that he is involved with. If Precursor drops him and launches a Kickstarter with the exact same benefits as this most recent failure, I'll gladly kick in $20 to play a spiritual sequel to Eternal Darkness on the Wii U.

I just bought my Wii U so I have plenty of games to keep me busy until September but I can understand how this is frustrating for those who have been expecting to play this game since July. I'll keep $15 in my e-shop account and keep playing Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper to get my beat-em up fix until next month.

I would love to see Team Ninja team up with Grasshopper Manufacture and Suda 51 to make a No More Heroes sequel. I think Suda 51 could do some hilarious things with the Wii U Game Pad and Team Ninja could provide the tight combat that the first two games lacked.
