I agree on the Virtual Boy 2 hypothesis... The Wii was basically the NES v.2; the peripherals and software for the NES follow the same idea as for the Wii, except that on the NES they were adapted to the technological limitations of the time.

I am ready to bet ALL my cash that they are preparing Sports software for this Virtual Boy 2 machine. Nintendo has understood that the key to the mass market is sports and fitness software.

They can't beat EA when it comes to major league games, but they can supplant anyone when it comes to game mechanics because they have complete control over the hardware and the software.
