ste hicky commented on Europe VC Releases - 15th June - F-Zero X on t...:
why would anyone in europe want this? it really is a poor version of a classic racer say goodbye to sub 1minute,8 second times on silence (with ease) hello to struggling for a 1.15.by the way people of the vc archive, should i take it that "optimised" means no borders, same poor speed?,any chance of a touch more clarity. sorry everyone,i'm just so let down by the conversion of f-zero x. y'know what? they're right: ignorance IS bliss.

PEOPLE ACROSS THE POND!!! don't moan that f-zero isn't out, you'll get it cheaper than europe and it will run nearly 20% faster than our version. at least you don't get screwed over,we do.

ste hicky commented on F-Zero X:
classic music tracks in gx? big blue? fair enough but it's the only one mute cities track is nothing like the original.

ste hicky commented on F-Zero X:
f-zero x is THE future racer, end of. it's better than the snes version and wipes the floor with the (excellent) cube version.i also think it's the last 'zero' to have the classic music tracks for mute city and the like, this is one of the places the cube version fell down, wipeout it ain't. do a proper conversion nintendo and i'm happy.

ste hicky commented on Star Fox 64:
is it me or is this faster than the pal original? i'd swear my n64 version's slower, not that i'm complaining.anyway, cool addition-most welcome etc...now is there any chance of,as well as the snes original,starfox/wing 2? i'd love to see what it was like.

ste hicky commented on Europe VC Releases - 20th April - Lylat Wars:
regrets!? er,none. only downloaded 7 vc titles 3 snes,3 n64,1 tg16 and am more than happy with my purchases (apart from mario kart which is NOWHERE near as fast as the ntsc version) remember nintendos 'dream team' philosophy : it ain't the quantity it's the quality that matters.

DEMON212 i really wouldn't be surprised if starfox didn't hit the vc until the end of may,i might be wrong but we'll see.on the plus side at least there's a better chance of a perfect conversion.

no starfox 64? (sorry people i can't get my head around lylat wars i imported the ntsc n64 version) ah well eventually,on a more positive note great to see square on board with the vc. now is there any chance of that final fantasy VI-2 prototype on vc.

ste hicky commented on Opera Browser Available NOW:
retpog55 : the new browser is an undeniable improvement over the beta version.faster boot up,full screen, reduced border at the bottom of the screen, the aforementioned improved scrolling and zoom functions and it even makes a brew while your browsing. (i lied about the brew bit the rest's true though) oh yeah and it's free.

agreed DEMON212 what nintendo of europe needs is a reggie,y'know to kick ass and get the best deal for the uk.

ste hicky commented on Europe VC Releases - 5th April - Megadrive Trio:
oh yeah BadSpoon some "STONE AGE" games that will turn up on the vc over the next couple of years are some of the greatest games EVER made, chrono trigger anyone? and would easily outstrip ANY of their modern counterparts. it ain't rose tinted nostalgia lad it's a fact.

ste hicky commented on Europe VC Releases - 5th April - Megadrive Trio:
Steve we had to wait 2 MONTHS for a link to the past in europe and i know which game i'd rather have got first. if nintendo do a proper conversion of starfox (not just shrink the borders but leave gameplay speed slow, mario kart for example) the wait will be worth it. wait and see y'all.
