It's different and it's very good, without its uniqueness it wouldn't be the same experience. Proof is, the original Japanese Super Mario 2, aka Lost Levels is certainly less popular than this.

If you give up after 2 levels, you have a serious issue with puzzle games, haha ! :D It isn't that hard, especially with continues.
