Superb game! I know that this is not recommended, but I put this CD into my regular CD player just to listen to the music. Often.

The music and excellent difficulty curve won me over a few decades ago , and they do again today. Great work, Capcom!

Great article! I grew up with the Turbografx 16, and I was one of the gamers who saved up $399 for the CD attachment (and an additional $75 for the Super System Card). Was it worth it? Absolutely! The games for that CD system were unlike anything I had ever seen, and like little I would see since.

Top titles: Ys' Books I and II (RPG), Cosmic Fantasy II (RPG), Vasteel (strategy), Lords of Thunder (shooter), Gate of Thunder (shooter), Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes (RPG), Loom (adventure), and Prince of Persia (platformer).

Average: Buster Bros. (action), Sherlock Holmes (adventure), SimEarth (strategy), Y's 3, Shape Shifter (platformer), Splash Lake (puzzle)

Poor: Exile, Exile: Wicked Phenomenon, Magical Dinosaur Tour

I'm glad to see the Turbo discovered by a new audience and finally getting some of the recognition it deserves. Now if Nintendo would only release some of those CD titles....

Castlevania's music is more than memorable: It's danceable! If you don't believe me, listen to the Minibosses cover.

The difficult curve in this action game is rather steep. Veteran players will find this one rewarding; those not accustomed to the 2-D platformer convention of the bird knocking the player into a bottomless pit will find it frustrating. Either way, it's great fun with excellent replay value.

I'd agree with Daz again here. The fact that you can select a partner character for each level gives Air Zonk a feel somewhat like Campcom's Megaman. Both are cutesy and give you some options, allowing you to experiment with a variety of weapons on a variety of characters. Unlike Megaman, however, this game is more shooter than platformer and is a bit on the easy side.

Easy or not, the graphics and music of this title are worthy of the Bonk/Zonk name. This is one of the better HuCards out there. Recommended.

Daz is right again on this one. Lolo is a classic, 2-D puzzler in which each level requires you to evade enemies in order to secure hearts, open a treasure chest, and leave the room. The level design here is quite impressive. Lolo is long and challenging and well worth the 500 Wii points.
