William commented on Nintendo press conference - 5 new WiiWare game...:

Is this game available in the USA? If so, under which category would it appear on the Wii VC? That screenshot of Star Soldier R looks pretty cool! I'm a fan of shoot-em-up games, especially like the old days of Tyrian 2000 (for the PC).

William commented on The Legend of Zelda:

Hey, everyone! TLOZ (This series) is, by far, my ULTIMATE favorite game of all time! I've played it VERY often since I was a kid. Sure, everyone gets the heebie-jeebies at times when it comes to RPG, it happens. Anyway, I've also got this one on my Wii (Wii Shop), and I've been constantly playing it over and over! :)

However, there are more quests online at
http://www.zeldaclassic.com
it has far more quests for more Zelda game-play.

Well, happy playing!

P.S. I've also rated this game 5 stars because it's an excellent game of all time! :-)

William commented on Gradius:

It's my favorite game of all time for the VC! I've downloaded this before, and I play it from time to time. It's a great game! The music is pretty awesome, though.

William commented on Super Metroid:

Well... still no release on SM for the Wii... although, I've downloaded SMB2, and it's good. I'm not sure about downloading SF (Street Fighter) II: Turbo; although, it has rated 5 stars. Think it's worth the DL? Btw, I rate SM 5 stars! It's a believer! Ha ha. :)

William commented on Super Mario Bros. 2:

Whoo hoo! I remember playing SMB2 when I was a kid... sure, all you guys talk about "black sheep" when playing or DL'ing SMB2, but who cares? Anyway, SMB2 (without its game timer; I'm surprised you guys hadn't noticed that!) is a really fantastic game. It has all the varities (spelling?; some good, some bad) it has to offer. Whether or not you have it in your old NES console or GBA, I still recommend downloading this game for the Wii (in case you guys and gals don't have it). Who knows?

William commented on Europe VC Releases - 15th June - F-Zero X on t...:

Well... you EU people are lucky to have F-Zero X for your VC! Wished we had it here in the states, but... I hope that the time will come... eventually. lol Anyway... I also hope that we'll get Super Metroid for the VC as well... it's one of the BEST SNES game of all metroids (asides from the GC/Wii versions of their Metroid Prime series... btw, I wonder what MP3 will be like for the Wii?). Oh well. :-)

William commented on Sonic the Hedgehog 2:

I have played it before, but I never owned the Sega Geneis console in my life. SH 2 is a great game! I have played all 3 series though... but not enough play time to do all of them, but some are fun. :)

William commented on Zelda II: The Adventure of Link:

Whoo hoo! I finally DL'ed this game to my VC yesterday! Man... it's awesome! I don't mind playing it over and over again! However, Bass X0 is right: I guess I can't save those experience points (EXP) as they reset back to 0 by two ways: 1) It resets after the game is over (when you have no lives yet), and 2) it resets after you've earned your next upgrade. However, seeing that it increases between 50 and 9000, it still takes a while to beat up the monsters for every EXP you earn. For example, take New Kasuto town: The "stronger" monsters around there nets you 150 EXP each... so that's 60 times until then next upgrade you get.
Have you noticed that AFTER you beat Ganon (or the evil wizard) the first time in the game, you notice that all your levels (up to 8) is still there when you play the second (or "countless") time(s)? It makes the game a lot easier, y'know? Sorry if I spoiled that one, but.. I'm sure that most of you who HAVE already owned Zelda II before the VC version probably has known that by now.

William commented on US VC Releases - 4th June - Zelda II:

I don't know why people don't like Zelda II (NES, GC (Collector's Edition), and VC)... I've really loved it! In fact, it's a lot better than Major's Mask... believe me, it sucks. I've played it before, but I've neither completed the last level nor finished the whole game. OoT's better, in my opinion. If you guys don't like Zelda II, tnen don't waste your time dl'ing it to your VC. But for you guys who love it, then DL it! :) For me, it's worth the DL.

Wished that Nintendo would release those games for the VC:
F-Zero X (N64)
Super R-Type (SNES)
Battle Cars (SNES)
Wanders of Y's III (SNES)
Hmmm.. can't think of anything else, but those above games are still my favorites.

William commented on The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past:

Woohoo! ALTTP ROCKS BIG TIME!!! :) :) :) Man.. I love playing that game ever since it came out years ago (SNES version)! I kept playing that game over and over and over... this beats out playing Zelda: MM, mind you.. but OoT is better than MM, in my opinion. But I don't know if I'd ever compete between Zelda 1 and Zelda 2 (both NES versions)... both are very good games, anyway.
Btw, Pocketim: How can Link play being a child and then adult in ALTTP? I know that it occurs in OoT, though. I could be mistaken.

Well... again, ALTTP rocks on!

Man.. this talk from you guys make me want to DL (download) SM on my VC! Man... I can't hardly wait for it to come out! Although, Zelda II (NES) will be out tomorrow. YAHOO!!

William commented on US VC Releases - 7th May - Final Fight, Ordyne:

*sigh* Still no Zelda II... I've been waiting and waiting for weeks for that to come to the VC console... another week... another Monday... hopefully next Monday! If not... another Monday. *grins* Trust me, guys... Zelda II rocks (as well as Zelda, Zelda: OoT, and Zelda: ALTTP). Forgot to mention Zelda: Link's Awakening. Note: Zelda = "The Legend of Zelda" (U get the picture).

William commented on Castlevania:

Hi. I know that I can post on the forum, but I'd like to see it on here too. Is it really worth the download on the VC, or would I be better off downloading SC IV for the SNES version? I, however, enjoy playing Castlevania: Simon's Quest, minorly because it has no "time limit" for each set stage... it's just me, but I like it. Wished it was out for the VC, though. Oh well.

William commented on Super Metroid:

I might be mistaken here, but.. I don't know where I heard or got this from.. anyway, is this true that the VC might not release SM? If that was the case, I'd be very disappointed. :( Trust me... SM ROCKS game on!

William commented on Gradius III:

Well... I've been a gradius fan all my life (for the shooter genre)... I also like Gradius III as well. It's a not-too-shabby game, after all, huh? I'd have rated it a 4-star instead of a 3-star rating, but... due to what you guys have said, that would make sense. Ah well. It's still a great game, anyway!

William commented on Super Metroid:

Trust me on this one: Super Metroid (like you guys and/or gals say).. it's rated #1 of the Metroid series! :D I've loved this game on my SNES console and I've played it over and over and over again! Man... that's my favorite SM game EVER! Wished it was on the Wii VC as well... hopefully soon enough! MP was ok... but MP2 was better because of the multi-player game feature and new weapons from light and dark items. For me:

#1 = SM (SNES)
#2 = MP2 (GC)
#3 = MP (GC)
#4 = Metroid (NES)
#5 = Metroid (GB)*
* I didn't complete the whole game... I stopped around the metroid up to #38 (From #40)... never got a chance to finish it. Oh well.
Hopefully MP3 (Wii) would be rated somewhere on the list!

William commented on Castlevania:

In my opinion, I like Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest. Not because of the "game time" that is implemented in other games than this, but... I just like to play it anyway. It's not my favorite game, but what the heck?

William commented on Opera Browser Available NOW:

I might be missing something here, but I've downloaded/updated my Wii system console because after getting messages about the updated Opera Browser, my Internet Channel still says "Internet Channel Trial version". Like I said, I've updated to the final version of the Opera browser. If that's the case, then why does "Trial Version" still appear just before you actually use it? Shouldn't it say something like "Internet Channel" and not "Internet Channel Trial version"? :S Sheesh.... Don't confuse me!

Anyway... thanks!

William commented on R-Type III:

How do you guys compare between the R-Type series (majorly or minorly.. doesn't matter) for the SNES and T-GX 16 systems? Thanks. I am comparing the reviews here and there (and the star rating). Hm... might give R-Type a try, I guess!

William commented on Super Metroid:

Damn it.. I want it released now (US version)! LOL Believe me.. this is my favorite game of the Metroid series! The other Metroid series were ok, though. MP and MP2 were 2 of my great games (evethough, I got the heebie-jeebies when the space pirates flew about in some areas! :-S). When I mean MP, I mean it by Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. I can't wait for the release of MP3: Corruption (I think?)! Wonder how it plays out for the Wii? Who knows?

William commented on F-Zero:

Trust me on this one: This may not be the fastest game ever like the N64 and GC versions, lke F-Zero X and F-Zero GX, but... U know what? This is still, by far, the best AND awesome game ever made for the SNES! Sure, the fun increases when you have multi-player mode, but... it's all in FUN! All series (except the GB/GBA/GBC versions) of F-Zero ROCKS!!!

Btw... on youtube.com, I've seen a UK version of F-Zero (or F-zero 2?)... I'm not sure where they get their games at, but it's particularly interesting, don't you think? Go, F-Zero!

William commented on Opera Browser for Wii - Full version in April:

Well, actually, I do know what a browser is for and what use they are on the computer, but... I may talk somewhat strange, but that doesn't stop me from asking anyone questions, huh? Regardless of my messages being strange or not, what can I do about them? I'm no rocket scientist, either. I feel a little offended, but at least, there's no harm done anyway.

William commented on Opera Browser for Wii - Full version in April:

I think I might be getting DSL at home, so I may not have to worry about this anymore.

By the way.. is it really worth downloading the Wii browser? What are the advantages and disadvantages when using the Wii browser? Wished I knew when the "exact" date would be released for the (US) version. I think I've seen some bugs that other people has noticed, but maybe I missed something out.

William commented on Opera Browser for Wii - Full version in April:

Hi. Nevermind what I said that confuses you. I'm using the dorm's DSL cable thingy, and I've bought myself a Wii LAN adapter for it, so I'm set for using it for Wii updates and stuff. Ah.. what's the use? Guess I'm pointless anyway. :/ *sigh*

William commented on Opera Browser for Wii - Full version in April:

I've got a question regarding the Wii Browser. Is there a subscription cost for using the Wii browser (whether trial or final) using Wii points? For example, like the Internet at home, people have to pay some money per month as per ISP subscriber. Is it similar to this when using it at home (I have dial-up modem, so DSL is NOT an issue here)? It's a nice thing to have, but again, I guess it has to have constant connection when using the Wii broswer; am I correct? Please let me know ASAP. Thanks!

William commented on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time:

I'd download TLOZ: OOT for my Wii, but I already have it for the GC version; the one on the "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time". I don't have the Master Quest version, but just the regular one. No offense, but I wasn't very fond of Wind Waker. But, Twilight Princess (GC version) rocks! I'm at where you are going to enter the Water (Lakebed) Temple.
