Here a good tip:
The Metal Blades (M), from Metal Man are totally overpowered and can easily defeat most normal enemies.

Impressive week.
Two great action games and one photo game with Pokemon.
That has only one downside: How can this be topped in the Chrismas week?

Now that's a good surprice and with no aditional cost for the extra feature.

Nintendo had technical difficulties, so they couldn`t release the second game. Just look at the offical site: www.nintendo-europe.com. Wonder what game it would have been...

OK game, but the story of the japanese version was reduced a lot, espacially in the final level.

Good game, also very fair for a shooter.

I`d like to see more SNES-games in the future like Kirby Superstar/Fun Pack, Yoschis Island, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 4 or Terranigma.
But Mischief Makers (from Treasure) for the N-64 would also be great!

They changed the standard action men into robots because Konami feared that such a "violent" game (by past standards) could be in Europe and almost certainly in Germany added to an index, which would be a commercial disaster.

I prefer the robots because they look a lot more original then these Rambo-copys...

Contra: Hard Corps for Mega Drive was the last one to get this treatment, but the only one that lost a lot of its story (it had one) and character (no female, Colonel Bahamut has a pencil for his head).

Get a SD-Card. You can save everything unneeded there and swap it back whenever you want it, as you can't use the VC-games directly from there.

Actually the game isn't as bad as the AVGN claims.
Remeber it IS an old game.
Standards for fairness or gamespeed were different at this time, so it may not be able to entertain everyone.
But it still is a good game of it's time and also a brave try to make a sequel that just isn't a copy of the first game.

But do you lose every item while respawning?

I seriously hope this game doesn't take as loang as the first Ninja Gaiden to get over to Europe.

Has it the standard shooter rule (One hit and all powerups are wasted)?

I also prefer the robots over these standard action dudes...

The story (yes it had a story) was cut, the female protagonist gone and the main enemy had a pencer head!

Nintendo could release the game in the next Hanabi Festival, it is really great to play and the final boss is fantastic.

Actually it is not that great as the second game. It lacks the final level and thus ends with a fight against some generic alien head. That felt so uncomplete

A great game, which together with Mischief Makers proves that Treasure can make incerdible acrion AND jump n`run games.

Seriously, it is quite good and a huge improvement over the first one.

It should come soon, considering that Prime 3 will be out in this month. I wonder if the Promo Metroid chanel will arrive as well...

Or take Trauma center, it was released 9 (yes nine!) months later in Europe!
Metroid Prime 3 will be 2 Months later, which is at least aceptable.
Why can`t it always be like Mario Galaxy, which will appear in all big markets in the same month!
