Great game, enjoyed it a bunch. Feel bad for those who didn't try it out because they didn't know what it was by the title of the game.

XCWarrior commented on Watch Dogs Wii U Release Dates Confirmed:

Doubt many people will buy this considering its 6 months old and most people didn't seem to love it. Most people seemed to be very meh about it.

I'm more interested to see if people will simply preorder the sequel due to Ubisoft creating more hype and promising to fix whatever was wrong with this one.

Loved NES Play Action Football back in the day. Surprised you guys gave it a 3/10. But since it doesn't have the WiiU upport, think I'll pass.

I own most of the games I want already. Saving coins for another month.

XCWarrior commented on Review: World Conqueror 3D (3DS eShop):

I've actually enjoyed this game a lot. I'm a big fan of risk, so being able to play against someone (the cpu) on the go and not have to pick up all the pieces, not to mention there is more strategy, is nice. It could use a bit more variety, but I'd give it around a 6.5/10. Worth a look if you enjoy Risk.

These developers have no track record to be believed. So sorry, don't believe you.

I feel they haven't even started the WiiU version, and will slap together some "8 bit retro" version of the game and call it a day sometime in the summer of 2015.

Much like Watch_Dogs, we don't see any screenshots of the WiiU version, so it's really hard to believe the game exists.

We shall all pray for a good TMNT game. The last one was, what, TMNT IV on SNES? I know there are a few above average ones that came after, but in terms of great games, TMNT II, III and IV are where it is act....

Why does no one replicate that genre of game and throw it on the eshop by the way?

Waiting on a review or 2 for Cubemen 2, but pretty sure buying that.

So 46% of people aren't going to download anything, even though there are 3, yes 3, demos? People, TRY SOMETHING.

And I don't want t hear nonsense like, "I don't own 3DS." No way 46% of the people who check this don't own a 3DS. A few of you might. But people don't own WiiUs, they own 3DSs if they come to Nintendo Life.

@KryptoKrunch I didn't say every Indie is doing it, I'm just noticing a trend w/Kickstarters lately where they like to make WiiU the stretch goal and have it be really far away from core goal. There is certainly Indy support, but I feel like other devs are trying to benefit from lack of games on WiiU/3DS.

So not a fan of games that use WiiU as a massive stretch goal in order for them to reach their core goal...

Even the Indys are starting to turn on Nintendo fans. It's really sad how few WiiU/3DS owners buy games that don't have Mario/Link/Pokemon in the title.

@Caryslan Well the last Ace Attorney game is on sale. So if you don't want to pay full price for the new old, old one is on sale. But I'm sure its not on sale enough or something like that. Other option is get a WiiU... that's where you want to play Smash in the end.

There are so many good to great titles that came out today on both WiiU and 3DS, plus stuff on sale from Capcom that is quality. If you are picking Nothing for Me this Week, I sure hope its because you are strapped for cash.

XCWarrior commented on Talking Point: Mario Kart 8's Diverse DLC Sets...:

Nintendo appears to be taking a different route with DLC than most companies. I get annoyed there is so much DLC for games that see yearly releases (COD, AssCreed, Battlefield, etc etc).

I don't think we are getting another MK on WiiU, so I guess the more tracks the better, but I have stated many times over the years on here I hate paid DLC. I love Mario Golf, 50+ hours in, but still haven't even considered buying the DLC.

16 tracks for $11 is tempting... (the characters I can take or leave, especially with ANOTHER Mario and ANOTHER Peach), but I won't say yes I'll buy it yet.

@DJKeens You are dead on sir. And when you go into Gamestop, they are always shocked if you are there to buy something Nintendo related. I have 6 or 7 Gamestops in my area, there's like 1 guy there who is actually happy to see you are buying Nintendo. The rest suggested "upgrading" to a PS4/Xboner.

"I would also not sell Amiibo short" - AKA Gamestop to sell Amiibos for 2x the amount any other retailer will.

In all seriousness, I wonder if Gamestop realizes Nintendo is the only company left who actually likes physical releases. Sony and Microsoft are certainly making more efforts to go digital to end used gaming.

For curious games on the games on sale:
Nano Assault is a lot of fun if you like SCHMUPS, its not bullet hell by any means.

Abyss is a quick fun. Takes some patience to learn the controls, but I really enjoyed it.

World Conqueror 3D I have been having fun with b/c I enjoy the game Risk, so Euro Conqueror 3D might be up your alley if you like Risk.

Like how there is some solid VC love again this week, and I already read one review giving Demon King Box a 9/10. Will wait for NLife review as well, but that looks like it might be a steal of an RPG for $4.

Flexible pricing would be nice to see. Sure, some NES games are worth $5, like the ones mentioned in the aritcle.

But simple games like Donkey Kong and Baseball and what not either only have a few levels or one quick, basic mode should be $3. I don't think you need to go below that. Enterting $1-2 territory is a risky proposition, but $3 to rebuy a game I bought years ago AGAIN seems just about right.

XCWarrior commented on Wii U Sales Continue to Rise with the Release ...:

69k is a nice start for a week. Hopefully there will be word of mouth and it will sell well for a couple of months over there.

In America, it's going to need to pull 300k first month at least, and UK at least 100k first month to really start considering it a success story.

Europe getting more fun sales. I would love to have the Pokemon Rumble U sale here in America. $18 is ridiculous, but after playing the 3DS game, it's a good time killer worth about $10. Hope the Europeans take advantage of this sale.

XCWarrior commented on Interview: Dan Adelman on the Indie Scene, the...:

"There is a surprisingly large number of self-described gamers who have never tried an indie game. If we can get more players to expand their expectations of what a game is and should be, I think the demand could catch up with supply and grow the pie enough so that more games can be successful."

This is a major problem, and it makes no sense. Gamers really need to expand their horizons, and Nintendo fans at times are the worst (other times they are the best based on some indy dev comments).

I think they should stop calling them Indy games. Just say new/smaller studio. Or better yet, just call them "Approachable Studio Renegade Kid, Yacht Club Games, etc." B/c that's what they really area, unlike the a** hats at EA, Ubisoft, Activision - Indy devs are APPROACHABLE. Which I love (and why people need to stop sending them death threats b/c they announce a game you don't like, i.e. Spikey Walls by RCMADIAX)

XCWarrior commented on Brinstar Confirmed as Classic Stage for Smash ...:

It's about time Nintendo gave owners of a XB1 and PS4 a reason to buy a WiiU, and no it wasn't the return of the Brinstar change.

This Samus outfit honestly should be the cover of both games. Maybe Mario and Link in the background. Studies of Tomb Raider games show that is what sells.

XCWarrior commented on Talking Point: The Pokémon Trading Card Game ...:

This is a very bad move for Nintendo. So your physical trading cards... what becomes of them?

And what are you going to do at tournaments that you hold? Are you going to have a physical deck take on a digital deck? Have 2 separate tourneys?

And then, why just the iPad? Android has become the market leader, Apple is going by the wayside when it comes to tablets. Just a curious move which I think Nintendo is going to see little profit from.

XCWarrior commented on Watch Dogs Will be the Only "Mature" Ubisoft G...:

Whatever Ubisoft. Make a good game, it will sell.

I expect Watch Dogs on WiiU to sell less than 10K worldwide. Possibly less than 5k worldwide. It's not like the game received great reviews from gamers.... review sites were paid to give it the 8s it got. 6s from actual players tells you a lot more about what its like.

XCWarrior commented on The Console Wars Live On As Night Trap Remake ...:

It's nothing more than a brilliant PR tactic.

"Hey Sony and Xbox fanboys, we hate Nintendo. Let's make another game Nintendo fanboys can't play. GIVE US MONEY!"

That's basically what they are doing, fueling fanboy hype for sales. So kudos to them for thinking of the idea. In the end, it's going to be a POS game.

Eshop has kept things hopping. MK8 came out for summer. Just had Wii Sports Club be released, and let's be honest 80% of WiiU owners have no clue that is available digitally or that the Internet exists and that their system can in fact go on it and download games digitally.
