@Varoennauraa : It loops kind of oddly. Any track with an intro part (the last fight music comes to mind) will have the intro replay every time the track loops around. I really don't know how they could have so many sound issues. On the updated soundtrack, the percussion tracks aren't playing, so a lot of the new stuff comes off really bland and uninteresting in comparison to the original music.

@MrPinguy:
That's just something silly that's being complained about. Legitimate complaints are ones that point out the many parts of the new translation that come off awkward and weird. Changing names slightly isn't a big deal (I could care less about Chin Fish => Egg Fish and Grasstown => Bushlands, etc.) but stuff like "I've got the nose of a clever harrier," comes off a lot worse than "I've got the nose of a bloodhound."

I still love the game though, despite all the flaws of its port, and just got through the normal and bad ending and am currently working on getting through hell to get the good ending, but it's a lot harder than I remember >.<

I absolutely LOVE Cave Story and am enjoying my time with it on the Wii, but there's a lot of nitpicks:

I've been playing Cave Story all night and I have to say some of the changes bug me a little. So far, I feel the fan translation blows the official literal translation out of the water.

The new graphics are great though, but the music is kinda meh. I'd recommend switching to the old music which is still as awesome as ever.

Also, it's a little weird having everything unlocked from the get-go. "You can play through the game as Curly Brace" is one of the menu options, and to the uninitiated, how are they going to know who Curly Brace is? Also, Boss Rush and the Sanctuary are both unlocked from the beginning which just seems weird to me. I remember the first time I played through the game, I had no idea about any of the secrets, which is how it should be, but the start menu lets you play the biggest one right from the start, without having ever starting up the main game. There's a few more technical nitpicks about these modes, but I'm sure none of you care.

Still, I'd recommend it to anybody.

@Supermegaman: It's the same story, so I wouldn't play any further into the PC version if you plan on playing the Wii one. The Wii one also has a couple of extras like higher resolution graphics and a redone soundtrack as well as a couple of surprises being added in as well.

I personally can't wait for this because my computer can no longer run it at a decent frame rate. I made a Balrog cubecraft today during my lunch at work in anticipation.

It`s free to play on the PC guys. If you`re curious, give it a go. About a year ago, my brother and I were addicted to it for a couple of weeks. It`s satisfying when you manage to break a guys arm off and beat him with it.

I`m definitely picking this up.
