Hello, I'm Waymore's_Blues (yes I know there's no comma in the username itself, Nintendolife doesn't let you have commas in usernames for some reason). I like video games (mainly Nintendo) and country music (mostly pre-1990).

Holy crap those Vita numbers are depressing.
#2
Waymores_Blues commented on Review: Xevious (Wii U eShop / NES):
Not a bad game but it's really showing it's age. Nothing wrong with simplicity, but this one's a little too simplistic for my tastes and pretty bland as well. This is one better left for the past. 5/10.

Waymores_Blues commented on Club Nintendo Rewards Updated for May:
Mario RPG is a pretty good reward. Anybody who doesn't already have that one should get it.

Waymores_Blues commented on Capcom Announces Two More Wii U Virtual Consol...:
Good. Save states would really be welcome for these two.
#5
Waymores_Blues commented on Review: Ice Climber (Wii U eShop / NES):
Nintendo's worst first party title (yes even worse than Urban Champion). Wish they would stop re-releasing crap like this for every VC.
#6
Waymores_Blues commented on Nintendo Download: 26th April - Virtual Consol...:
$5 for games like DK Jr. and Ice Climbers? Heck no. Nintendo should do like they do with Gameboy games where they charge a dollar less for the simpler titles.

Waymores_Blues commented on Famicom Classic Recca Could Be Blasting To Wes...:
Never expected that this one would see a chance of coming out of Japan. Please please please come to the West. This is one non-portable that I would definitely buy. Another import Famicom Shump that I'd love to see is Crisis Force. That was one of the more impressive looking games on the console.
@Tra_Venous: Oh yes please. Gun NAC would be an excellent release.

Waymores_Blues commented on Shantae Set For 3DS Virtual Console This Summer:
Nice. Hopefully we get more expensive games like this and Earthbound.
#9
Waymores_Blues commented on Wii U Virtual Console Launch Lineup Is Revealed:
@Haxonberik: Now there's some wishful thinking. This ain't 2007. We'll be lucky if we see one a week, every week for the first year.

Waymores_Blues commented on Wii U Virtual Console Launch Lineup Is Revealed:
Decent list, but I already have those games, and I have no interest in Gamepad play. Hopefully the games are released at a decent rate (at least one a week would be nice) and we see more than what's already on the Wii VC (Earthbound's a good start).

And this is why I have no plans to ever download retail games for Nintendo consoles. The fact that they don't don't have an account-based system yet is pretty depressing. Get it together Nintendo.

Disappointing but thankfully I have a 360.

The combat sounds like Ys Book I & II. I think I'll just sick with that.

Waymores_Blues commented on Feature: Ten SEGA Mega Drive / Genesis Games W...:
Since the Wii U doesn't have a pathetically low file size restriction, we need some Sega CD games. I'd gladly lay down some money for games like Shining Force CD, Snatcher and Sonic CD.
#17
Waymores_Blues commented on Review: NAM-1975 (Wii Virtual Console / Neo Geo):
If you liked Wild Guns (a great SNES game that's also on the VC), then you'll like NAM-1975. I'll have to download this one eventually.
#18
Waymores_Blues commented on Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This...:
Final Fantasy V and VII. Been playing these two all week and will continue to do so this weekend.

This is one game that the Wii U didn't need anyways.
#20
Waymores_Blues commented on Nintendo Download: 4th April 2013 (North America):
A Neo-Geo game that's not a fighting game and a good one at that? Finally. I liked Wild Guns so I'll have to download Nam eventually.

Oh well. If I wanted so badly I could just get it on Xbox.

Waymores_Blues commented on Fez Creator Believes Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate...:
I don't care too much for Mr. Fish. The comments about Nintendo don't bother me at all, but I agree with Bankai about not liking him for this statement. It's not like the West is in any better shape. I also hate how he has to swear in most of his comments. Doesn't make it look serious and I find it mighty hard to take anyone seriously who swears in statements like the one that this article's about.

That type of game doesn't look like it would be worth it for me anyway.

A platformer with a random level generator? I'll keep my eye on it.

Waymores_Blues commented on Punch Out!! Available To Download on Wii U Now...:
Best game offered so far. Anybody who doesn't have it yet really needs to get it if they have a Wii U. One of the all-time classics.
#30
Waymores_Blues commented on Aliens: Colonial Marines Seems To Have Been Ab...:
The Metacritic scores for all available versions of the game are in the 40's, so the Wii U not getting this game wouldn't be much of a loss unlike some of the other third party games like Tomb Raider that aren't coming.

I'd give this one an 8. Great game but it's pretty short.

The game that got me into Shumps. A hidden gem.
#33
Waymores_Blues commented on Review: Wrecking Crew (3DS eShop / NES):
Agree with the score. One of the better "black box" NES games.
#34
Waymores_Blues commented on Review: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror ...:
Really hate how they've westernized this series. Was hoping for a SOTN style game for the 3DS. Guess I'll just look for one of the DS games.
#35
Waymores_Blues commented on Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This...:
I'll be playing some Minecraft, NSMBU and Retro City Rampage. I'll probably play a couple of random games as well.
#36
Waymores_Blues commented on Team Meat: We'd Work With Nintendo If Meat Boy...:
It's not going to happen. Meat Boy doesn't have any games for Nintendo consoles. I doubt even if his game was on the Wii U or 3DS that he'd be in the game. Also, what would his attacks be? All he does in Super Meat Boy is run and jump around. He wouldn't even make a good assist trophy.
I agree with anybody that said Commader Video should make an appearance. His games are on Nintendo consoles, plus they could have attacks for him.

Waymores_Blues commented on Nintendo Download: 28th February 2013 (North A...:
Pretty great week. Already have RCR for the 360 (great game) so I'll pass on it and I know I'll end up getting Runner 2 eventually (loved the first game).

@Sun Agreed. Doesn't look like much of a HD game.

Sounds like he really wants video game consoles that require constant internet connections. If that's what the future of gaming is going to be, then I'll pass.

Oh heck yes. Loved Symphony of the Night (haven't had a chance to play any of the others sadly) so this should be great.

Waymores_Blues commented on Cliff Bleszinski Sees A Future Where Nintendo ...:
He doesn't seem too arrogant in his comment regarding Nintendo. Also if you read the article on the site NLife got the story from, he doesn't have anything positive to say about Sony or Microsoft either regarding the future.
"I think Sony and Microsoft are about to come to major blows."
@Andrewroxsox: I never cared much for Patcher either.
#43
Waymores_Blues commented on Cliff Bleszinski Sees A Future Where Nintendo ...:
@SCAR392: He's still a big figure industry though, so he knows a heck of a lot more than any of us do (unless there's anyone here who works in the gaming industry as well).
#44
Waymores_Blues commented on Cliff Bleszinski Sees A Future Where Nintendo ...:
@DePapier: Yeah but nothing can last forever. The Nintendo optimists may have been right so far, but like @Chrono_Cross said, nobody can predict the future even if it's had the same results historically.
@Darel: Who says they're just going to immediately stop supporting it when the PS4 comes out?
#45
Waymores_Blues commented on Cliff Bleszinski Sees A Future Where Nintendo ...:
As for Nintendo becoming software-only, that really wouldn't bother me at all. As long as they still keep making good games (even if it's on other consoles), then I'm fine.
#46
Waymores_Blues commented on Talking Point: WiiWare's Vital Role in a Retro...:
I agree with Knux. WiiWare had some excellent titles (the Bit.Trip series, Castlevania Rebirth, etc.) but for every one of those titles it had three or four Sexy Pokers or Spogs Racings. Hopefully the Wii U Eshop won't suffer the same fate (so far it's looking pretty good).
#47
Waymores_Blues commented on Review: Yoshi (3DS eShop / NES):
Excellent review. Agree with the score. Just a decent timewaster nothing more, nothing less.
#48
Waymores_Blues commented on Cliff Bleszinski Sees A Future Where Nintendo ...:
I highly doubt that Nintendo is going to leave the hardware business anytime soon, but we'll see I guess.

Waymores_Blues commented on Review: Dig Dug (3DS eShop / NES):
Great game but I'll pass since I already have a portable version for the PSP, and it's a perfect port of the arcade version unlike this one.

Waymores_Blues commented on Review: Castlevania (3DS eShop / NES):
I watched the one about SCIV and the guy made a good argument about why it's not as good but there was one thing that I didn't like about it. All the times that he was complaining about the whip and stuff was only on the first three levels. Other than that one part where he showed the diagonal whipping for the treasure room level, it was just those levels. He's basically saying that the whole game is a breeze just because the first three levels are easy, which isn't true at all. The later castle levels are pretty tough, even with the whipping in all directions (I still have a lot of difficulty with the stupid clock tower level).
Speaking of the clock tower level, there's a good reason why you shouldn't put any of the whip gimmicks that he suggested involving hanging from it. That's the main reason why I have so much trouble with the clock tower level, and trying to dodge spikes while dangling from a moving whip hook just sounds like a frustrating chore. A couple of the ideas that he suggested with the whip sound like they would have been neat ideas though.
Also, I don't really see what's so bad about making the first three levels so easy. If anything it allows you to appreciate the music and atmosphere before the challenge sets in and you're too busy to care about that kind of stuff. You have eleven or twelve levels, so there's really no need in making the game challenging immediately, unlike Castlevania where the challenge needs to set in quickly since there's only six levels.
Anyways, that's how I feel about the video. Regarding SCIV itself @FluttershyGuy summed up my feelings prefectly.
