@Damo: Yeah, I know. I can see why a lot of people are happy with these retro revivals. But for me they're not really all that appealing, namely because they bring back the reason I don't like playing the old games: the archaic gameplay. I can live with the old school graphics ( and I actually like the music quite a bit) but the gameplay is just too hard for me to enjoy. That's just my two cents.

@19: I agree, I'd much rather have 2D revivals but with modern graphics, gameplay, etc. A game with the ability to switch between modern/retro graphics and gameplay would be awesome, though I doubt that would happen.

@106: I definitely agree about the controls. I guess they would have been tolerable back then but now they're just too unusable for me at least. The multiplayer is still pretty fun though.

Viper1 commented on USA VC Releases: Mega Man and Neo Turf Masters:

I guess it's good that we finally got it ... but I really don't like Mega Man. Everything about it is good except it's too hard for me to enjoy it. I could maybe beat it if I really tried over and over but with few exceptions games that I lose at over and over aren't fun.

Still, it's a game I can respect even though I don't enjoy it and it's good for the people who were waiting for it.

Viper1 commented on Get Ready To Go To Battle In Swords & Soldiers!:

From IGN: "The developers of the original version of 'de Blob' announce their new game studio Ronimo Games and their first title: Swords & Soldiers.

Ronimo Games is founded by seven developers in Utrecht, the Netherlands. As students the team was responsible for the original pc game 'de Blob.' Being an innovative and fun game, 'de Blob' became popular on the internet and was eventually picked up by THQ. The publisher bought the IP and will soon release the new version of 'de Blob' for Nintendo Wii."

The game has nothing to do with the makers of the upcoming Wii game.
