I don't get why people didn't like Lost World. I get why reviewers didn't. (Other than Famitsu who did like it same as me).

I wish they never made that 9 lives change though. (Cannot do a level in 5 lives shouldn't progress - especially in a game like Lost World).

@ShadyKnights It is always better to have choice then you don't have to play anything other than what you really want to. Two or three games a week released (From which I get 2-6 a month would be about right for me). I don't like the button mashing genre but I will probably end up getting some of them soon just as there is not much else. (If they designed them to have the combat of a fighting game and penalise button mashing the same games I could potentially like). Anything from Platinum is a button masher as is Hyrule Warriors.

I don't mind it being used but I don't want it used for the sake of it when there is no real point.

Same as wiimotes. I use one by choice for Sin & Punishment 2 but not allowing me to use B instead of the propeller Mario motion is not ok.

That is a really annoying thing that Skyrim does (Or Bravely Default). Talk the townsfolk and find out where to go and go there would be better. Put your own waypoint.

@SparkOfSpirit Valve or Rockstar are still the best you can buy just Episodes from Liberty City/Ballad of Gay Tony or Half Life 2 Episode 1 or 2 and play them standalone without having to buy the base game. Want more buy more as much or as little as you want. This sort of thing is second best. (But there are others that do this).

@aaronsullivan Waverace 64 sold about a 3rd of Mario Kart 64. Presume if it is good enough that it can happen again. (I knew nothing about it - didn't know of the existence of the Gameboy one until years later).

Or maybe they are not good enough any more I dunno (Or want to believe so really). There is no other public data I know of.

@rjejr Don't see how anybody could commend that type of scumbag tactic. Same thing can and has been done more tastefully like e.g NSMB2 (Ignoring the issues that game had with all the best parts being in the DLC).

@Bass_X0 I would rather have another game like F-Zero / 1080 / Excitetruck or Waverace. Same amount of money from only 1/5th of the sales.

@MrWalkieTalkie The thing about 3D World is there was enough. (I have no desire for any more of it for the foreseeable future - liked it - content with it).

NSMBU / Tropical Freeze / Mario Kart 8 were not like that I think by design - never giving enough makes people keep buying in the hope of attaining it.

unrandomsam commented on You Can't Count Nintendo Out, Says Activision CEO:

It is strange that Assasins Creed IV is selling higher on the eshop right now than Rayman Legends but yet Ubisoft says Wii U users don't want mature games. (Don't think Just Dance is there at all).

Everything they say is all lies designed to ruin anybody else's chances.

(At least this is not going to do any harm).

Actually the best people to do DLC were the people who did the Witcher 2. They realised they were making money hand over fist so just added it no charge. (I suspect that amount was much less than Nintendo is getting constantly from Mario Kart 8).

@Dipso Problem is at the moment there are no good tracks. (Like say Nights or Burning Depths from All Stars Racing Transformed. Best player always wins).

@Spuratis Rockstar still does it better. I only bought one bit of GTAIV DLC and used it as a paid demo. NSMB2 is pretty bad as well all the good levels are in the DLC. (Makes it a £60 game).

@justinluey Loaded with content is e.g 3D World / Smash Bros Brawl not Mario Kart 8 by any definition. Compared to its competition All Stars Racing Transformed it has basically no content. (And every lap is the same so it is dull almost straight away - hence why people desire DLC already).

@Hy8ogen It wasn't a full game justifying the price. Smash Bros looks to be as was 3D World this wasn't they couldn't even be bothered doing easy normal hard versions of all the courses. The All Stars Racing Transformed World Tour was for me 100 hrs that is the competition.

(The only reason there is desire for it already is because there wasn't enough to start with).

@electrolite77 The VC Emulators are not good enough in most cases. (Best is GBA but even that is not perfect. Some microgames I can get about 10 points more on Warioware on the real thing. Cannot be perfect or I would be able to score about the same.). With what Nintendo knows their emulators should be indistinguishable from real hardware or the bsnes accuracy profile for SNES. (Removing the cheap filter would be a start).

@Kaze_Memaryu That only works for games that actually allow saving. (I have the cart / Steam - Genesis Classics / USA Wii VC of Gunstar Heroes and the only one that works perfectly is the cart but starting from the beginning all the time means I don't use it). Ones that use passwords I find just as annoying.

Someone is buying one of these and also buying lots of current games from the same company. (Or the VC versions) it is not a problem I don't think.

Reproduction cartridges are absolutely deplorable though.

I was thinking yesterday about the fact I have a fair amount of Megadrive games that I never play because I cannot save. (And the VC versions I am not happy with for different reasons like the filter that is applied to Wii ones or the Steam emulations just not being very good). I have a switchless modded Megadrive.

I am kind of interested in the Dreamcast one as well. (Think there is a way to mod the English voice into Shenmue 2). I have the disks for both of them.

Don't think there is a SNES one that is good enough. (Super FX / SDD1 or SA-1 games). But getting Super Famicom carts isn't too bad. (I have a switchless modded SNES).

I don't like optical disks. Too easy to damage don't perform very well. (If there was a way to use one to run Saturn games with a Sega Titan Arcade board I think I would do that as well). I have the JPN Saturn version of X4 but no Saturn yet. (Came up at a no import duty price so I bought it).

There is another about 5 PAL Gamecube games that can be run at 60hz but only with a mod chip which does annoy me greatly. (But I have not done anything about it).
