I've still not gotten around to playing this Zelda, the only home console one I've missed. Since I don't have a 3ds I was a little gutted the remake was on that tbh.....guess I'll have to vc it eventually.....

@aaronsullivan @Plainsville well done, you both just convinced me..... I needed that push
One thing I'll be waiting on reviews for is whether the user made levels are download onto your console for play offline or it you play from the web live streaming. My internet is terrible so being able to set a group of levels downloading and going to bed to play the next day would be ideal for me and would seal the deal!!

I'm so on the fence with this. I'm sure the quality will be great but I'm not into level building options in games........there will be other players levels to play, but I won't make any......I've got too many games at the moment, but the collectors pack will be rare and it's the 30th anniversary.... Arrrrggghhh!!

@antdickens big respect for commenting here man, would be easy to avoid the stress.
In a sense, there is a big compliment to the site that we REALLY DO respect the opinions of this site. This just means on the negative, if people believe it let them down in some way, there is a bigger deal than maybe you deserve created in the aftermath.....

So having watched both videos now, I feel even more confused than ever.....Nintendolife, you have completely lost my trust on the handling of this. I won't say anyone is wrong, it's all opinions, but the childish reactions and contradictory opinions have meant that I'll form my opinions of this particular game away from this site. I love your coverage of all my favourite Nintendo news and ALWAYS go straight to your reviews as I trust you. For me to continue this I need to put this game to one side and ignore it. To be clear, it's not the game I'm referring to here it's the handling of it which I can't abide, sorry guys.

ULTRA-64 commented on Negative Reception For Devil's Third Is Due To...:

@Genesaur yeah you make a great point, the handling of this will be a fascinating story when the details come out. The result, good or bad, will have had little support from Nintendo. With them as you said so supportive of the bayonetta games including costume rights etc, and saving this from oblivion in similar circumstances it's very strange overall....
would it be too wild a guess to suggest that itagki pissed off some people within the hierarchy(particularly NOA) with some trash talk of some kind!?!

Is itagaki acting like a spoiled kid .....yes!
Do we expect a professional journalists reaction to equal the immaturity and pompous attitude of the man? Hell no!!!!!
You have let people down by snapping at his bait Nintendo life, I'm disappointed tbh.
On the game front , looks interesting but flawed, like starfox for example......

"Takeda-san, currently co-leading the company on an interim basis with Satoru Iwata" do you not mean shigeru miyamoto!?!
Great eulogy though for a great man, many company directors get famed for the money they made. It makes me really happy that iwata will be remembered for the lives he touched. Now THAT is successful!!

ULTRA-64 commented on Tomonobu Itagaki Explains Why the Pro Controll...:

Wow, there's some real negative views in this thread!! Options are like a- holes.....everyone has one!
If you were to be a prospective 3rd party development team and you saw all this outrage over a recommendation on which controllers are best for a game he designed of a style he pioneered and most importantly NONE OF YOU HAVE PLAYED! It really sells us short as open minded Nintendo gamers, you can use either, he just preferred one of the methods. No argument needed, follow your OWN preferred method.
I mean if it was him and not splatoon that recommended strapping a wiimote to the pad using shoelaces he'd have been ridiculed and chased off the internet judging by this forum!!

My girlfriend bought this today to play together, loads of fun so far! It's a little light on direction for a Lego game so confusing at times and it's an absolute glitch-fest so a patch would be nice......

ULTRA-64 commented on Nintendo Download: 16th July (Europe):

@rjejr agreed, the game pad mis-use/ignoring is by far the biggest reason the Wii u has failed imo.
it's like a catch 22 for Nintendo, they don't want their devices to be 'multimedia electronics' (no DVD player/usb plug and play etc.) But then they have YouTube/Netflix apps for media and boast of the interactive tvii app (fail) and tv remote features as part of your living room electronics.
The bottom line is tablet devices are made to be portable, multipurpose, connective and independent. The game pad is none of those things and simply isnt as good in any way except analogue sticks at doing 'tablet tasks'! I find it strange that Nintendo, a company famed for new ideas and risk taking has not even tried one new thing with the game pad with regards to apps or stand alone software. Is a panoramic flight with birds the best they could think off when they were thinking how the hardware could be used best!?!

Sad news I did not expect, it is very out of the blue! It will be fascinating to see how this effects Nintendo as a business but for now, my thoughts are with his family who must be very upset at this difficult time!

ULTRA-64 commented on Poll: What Do You Want From Nintendo's NX Plat...:

I love innovation and surprises but miss 3rd party games!! Imo the Wii u game pad should be compatible and playing Wii u games is a must. It's too soon to abandon the Wii u and I'm not expecting a massive hardware bump like some. Nintendo don't need to be better than rival's..... Just equal but different!!
Also, I'd hope Nintendo would have agreed contracts (even if they have to pay/subsidise) to get the biggies like cod, fifa, assassins creed etc on their new console........my personal feeling of doom was the lack of GTA arriving on the Wii u early on, as the single biggest computer game release of the generation(s).....this was the biggest single blow in terms of losing a franchise and in turn, media/public respect as a platform!

Wasted on me, shoddy internet has meant I rarely get to finish an online match =(
I've been spacing out the 1 player to get my splatoon fix but nearly done that, then I'll move onto the squid amiibo challenges. After that if my internet is still terrible.......well , then I will cry!!

ULTRA-64 commented on Nintendo Reportedly Pitched NX To Third Partie...:

I'm sure they did all of this with the Wii u as well.......I really hope that more 3rd partys rejoin the Nintendo bandwagon. However, they might need to rethink allot of strategic partnerships as they got dropped quickly by supposedly loyal support before! Imo they need to put cash into subsidising and funding releases, maybe just to get momentum, from some companies to make sure they are on board 100%.
Let's use gta5/far cry3/4 and tomb raider as high profile games we missed at key points in the Wii u launch phase which might have gained more consumer respect!

ULTRA-64 commented on Review: Yoshi's Woolly World (Wii U):

Well I've got this pre ordered already and I'm really happy with the review score........HOWEVER! Looking at how great all those 3d models are makes me wish we had a REAL 3d platformer coming in this (or any!?!) Style. I find it so weird that in this hd era we have moved to 'less dimensions' and whilst I truly love 2d platformers, I prefer 3d! If someone had told me in my n64 days that the amount of 3d gaming options from Nintendo would reduce drastically, well I'd have slapped that PlayStation fan round the face......how times have changed =/
