Wanted to upgrade for a while now and this was just what I waited for. To all the people scared about losing portability, it's not as huge as it seems (at least not for me). It still fits in my pants pocket comfortably.

@Romeo The same thing happened with Deoxys and his forms back in Gen 3. You couldn't have more than one form because they were exclusive to the game you had him on. They remedied that in Gen 4 and up though, so maybe that'll be the case here too.

Definitely a day one for me. Tried the demo to 4 and got that asap. I didn't like the drawing the map for the first cave or so, but I learned to love it in later dungeons. I liked making up backgrounds for my characters, but am really looking forward to the story mode this time around.

TwoSmoove commented on Wii U Name Isn't To Blame For Poor Sales, Says...:

Software and branding seem to be the issue. I had to explain multiple times to one of my friends that the WiiU was a brand new system. He thought that it was just the gamepad added to the Wii. I had to sit my White Wii next to my Deluxe WiiU before he got the difference. I imagine many consumers may be having that issue as well.

@JayceJa That's not totally true. I can raise a team in about 2 hours, which isn't much (I don't breed for IVs though, so that kind of does play a role). Though there are sometimes I wish I could speed up an already quick process (if pokerus gave 4x EVs instead of 2x, that would change a lot).

@Great_Gonzalez That's not totally true. They could be RNG'ed. I feel the ones on GTS are more likely to be hacked (for the sole reason that if you work for a shiny, you wouldn't give it up).

@SCAR392 That's pretty good. That makes 2 of us. Did you help him out any?

@Bulby I've personally been to 3 regionals in the last three years, and every single one had incidents where hacking was found. I don't know specifically if they were messy or clean hacks, but they were DQ'ed on spot. They had machines that looked like a prototype DS that they put your card in (not sure how online would be monitored). Then there are the people who get others to RNG for them, as most of my competitors have. As long as their stats and moves are legitimate, I mostly don't have a problem with it.

@Teaqq2 All the more reason I think.

She is more like G&W to me (in the sense that when I think 'Nintendo' he doesn't really come to mind). Having spent a great deal of time on Wii Fit, it made me oddly happy to see she made it in. Definitely going to be one of my mains.

TwoSmoove commented on Time: Nintendo Is "Stumped" By The Wii U GameP...:

Off-Tv play, Asymmetrical multiplayer, and anticipated first party titles make the WiiU in my opinion. No other console allows me to play games without turning on my tv (maybe the Vita, but even that's not quite the same). Heck, I can multitask and watch tv while I play the game or browse the web. You can even control your tv with it (something I've wished many times over for my 360 to be capable of).

As for Times, if you can feasibly recreate Nintendoland attractions like Luigi's Mansion or Mario Chase without a gamepad, I'll be pretty mind blown. Even if most games regulate the touch screen to a map or inventory, that's fewer times that I have to pause to look at such things.

Most people I know aren't flocking to the system now simply because the games they want aren't on it yet. I'm one of the few who bought the system anyway because I already know games I want to play are going to be on it. Smash Bros was the selling point for me. Everything else is just icing on the cake really.

I like this change more than I expected. I can only imagine people who don't battle competitively wouldn't like it. Dragons are pretty much steamrollers this gen. I'm more interested in thier resistances and immunities though.

The World Ends With You and the Zero Escape series do exist and are Nintendo exclusive (with the exception of Virtue's Last Reward). I don't quite remember their ratings, but they are borderline mature, as far as death goes anyway.

TwoSmoove commented on Talking Point: Wii U vs Xbox One - Online Requ...:

I only buy used games for out of print games or really hard gems that I missed out on (had a very hard time finding Rhythm Thief for months after it came out). This usually opens me up to newer games in the series, which I buy new because I liked the previous version (Borderlands, Zero Escape series, Tales of series, etc.). The only time I would consider selling a game is if I seriously disliked it, which is rare. I don't mind when people sell games, but wished it was handled better for the developers.

For the comments regarding lending vs. piracy, should people not play multiplayer games locally because their friends didn't pay? By that logic, it sounds like yard sales should be more frowned upon.

This is easily a good game for RPG lovers and at $30, it's a decent deal. I have it physically only because it came with a CD and art book (adding more space to an already crowded room). Personally, digital is the way to go with this game if you aren't switching between systems.

@Rensch Yep, it still is the closest thing to being a trainer. If you don't have Black/White 2, I'd recommend giving those a try to tide you over for X and Y. They are the only games that top the gen 2 remakes in my opinion. There is a lot more to do, plus you can challenge the gym leaders and champs from every region (which was one of the best selling points to me). I do miss walking with my pokémon though.

He is kind of right, at least about the Xbox anyway. Nobody I know (myself included) has used it at all. I do however use BC on my Wii U, Wii, 3DS, and DS Lite (for Pokémon related stuff). If the 3DS could only play 3d games, Zelda would have been the only playable title I had when I got my system which would have sucked. I think the 360 has a decent library of games that this wouldn't be an issue.
Even if people don't use it much, it would have been nice to have the option.
