Gee, I didn't think Amazing Mirror was that bad. I love it, personally. I remember playing this game for hours as a kid. It was always so thrilling to discover a new mirror and find a new place.
Granted, I did get lost more than a few times, but that's because I didn't understand the map very well back then. Besides, I still got 100% in the end.

I'll be working on hard mode in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze for starters. One heart is fine, but the lack of checkpoints is frightening!
I got myself unstuck in Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan so I'll be sure to play that. The exploration element in this game is very exciting.
I'm also still hooked on the insanity that is Team Fortress 2. I could play this for hours.
I guess I'm pretty much set this week. ;)

True_Hero commented on Sega Unleashes Sonic Boom Behind The Scenes Video:

This Eggman design retains the whimsy of his original look while making him look more physically imposing, like his SatAm appearance. I like it.

This concept is shaping up very nicely. I'd hop on the hype train, but I think I could get there faster if I ran. ;)

True_Hero commented on Diddy Kong Confirmed as the Latest New Challen...:

I was just wondering yesterday if Diddy was going to be back. Excellent news! I've always had a special place in my heart for that little monkey. I remember the time my brother and I beat Donkey Kong Country by passing the Game Boy between each other every time Donkey and Diddy switched. Looking back, I wish we had known about the ground pound...

Huh, Mother B isn't even looking at Samus while she's beaming her to death. I wonder what she is looking at...

Samus: Mother, time to...
(gets hit with death ray)
Mother Brain: Not now Samus! I'm trying to watch my soaps!
Mario: Dat cerebellum...

The blue blur has starred in some truly dire titles recently.

Uh, what? Sonic's most recent games have been quite good. Lost World was a mixed bag at worst. Hardly 'truly dire'.

I'm still getting the feel for this concept. I guess I can't really embrace it until I get some story details. This certainly has potential, though.

Lucario was one of my absolute favorites in Brawl! I'm so glad that's he back. I thought for sure that he would be replaced. I did have a sliver of hope with the introduction of his Mega Evolution in X/Y, thinking that would increase his relevance. I guess that means Mewtwo would also have a reason to return. ;)

That spiral-eyed professor with the oddly shaped head also appeared in Wario Land 4 as something for Wario to chuck around. Not as glamorous a homage as the one in Link's Awakening perhaps, but still quite entertaining.

@uel - Not to mention the Super Hard Mode after clearing the normal Hard.

I've fully cleared Wario Land 4 and I really enjoyed it. The game was fun, zany, and had great music. I've always felt that W4 had some sort of hidden depths that I just couldn't put my finger on. Perhaps this book will guide my finger to the proper spot.
