I'm still waiting on that character poll to finish up before I buy into any figures from 3.0. The idea of having a Mabel or Darkwing Duck figure on my shelf is hard to pass up. The game itself I'm not fussed about, but the figures stand on their own, from a collector's point of view.

YOU COULD HAVE SAID THIS BEFORE I BOUGHT THE GAME AND LEGITIMATELY ENJOYED IT TO BITS, YOU MONSTERS. I'll grab the physical 3DS game, along with Mighty No 9.

@SanderEvers
1: If Nintendo seriously didn't sell these things for that reason, they probably wouldn't even sell their consoles and games. That's stupid.
2: It may be free from customs but Nintendo still need to pay for production. Getting no money from these things is costly and most businesses would sell these kinds of trinkets, so they may earn back their money to go towards further production.
3: Big whoop. Like either me, or anybody else cares that they have enough. I'm sure that they might get a kick out of a free lamp, but not everyone can get a million damn codes out of the blue like that. They don't they just sell it and make it a freebie for those with Club Nintendo? Sorted. All sides involved are happy.

I think the event could have been better with they'd saved the Earthbound, Blastball and Smash Bros stuff for the Digital Event, as opposed to the Nintendo World Championships and the Smash Direct. It was underwhelming, but nowhere near Wii Music levels of bad. Also, I think you all had your expectations set way too high. You all wanted Mother 3, F-Zero, Star Fox, Metroid, NX, Zelda, Bayonetta and everything else under the sun at the very least, which was ultimately your downfall. I came into it without expecting anything over the top, which made the Event better for me, as stuff like Star Fox and Paper Jam were more pleasant, surprising reveals. So, in short: Underwhelming, but nowhere near as bad as you yahoos are making it out to be.

It might have an ok chance if momentum stays strong. Bloodstained, Yooka Laylee and Mighty No 9 all had Wii U support added due to the huge success they had, coupled with fan outcry, so I'd imagine Shenmue 3 might see a Wii U release.

Now I'm quite intrigued in Dimensions. I'm still not buying it full price, not by a long shot. However, the idea of Homer Simpson and Marty McFly running over various monsters in the Mystery Machine is enough to entice me.

@Knuckles From what I recall, TMNT used a health bar system as opposed to Smash's blast zones. The Cartoon Network game was the only one to mimic Smash Bros in that fashion (BTW, don't buy the 3DS and Wii versions, they suck eggs).

On topic, I guess a fighting game makes sense for the licence, but I'm not going to make assumptions about it's quality just yet. For all we know, it could go either way.

@BLPs You make some fair points. I can understand how the comparison between a PS1 and an NES is unfair in the context of superior specs and you're absolutely right in saying that the quality of the game at hand is the main factor. Frankly, I should have paid more attention to these facts before blindly posting my opinion. However, two of your points can also apply to the Virtual Console NES titles, namely the poor quality of the port and that they don't age well. But I'd imagine personal opinion coupled with the quality of the games would be the main deciding point, like you said. Let's just agree I posted something fairly selfish and move on, shall we?

All we really need is a crossbuy system and cheaper prices. Let me put it this way, if you were given the choice to buy either a PS1 game on the PS3 or an NES game on the Wii U Virtual Console, with both costing the same amount, you'd most likely go with the former, regardless of your opinions towards Nintendo or Sony.

My favourite track is Big Blue. As for karts and drivers, I quite like the Bone Rattler with the Boy Villager at the helm. I think Nintendo could do with more DLC in the next couple of years. Kirby DLC with Kirby and King Dedede as drivers? The Pimpmobile from 3D World as a car? The possibilities are still vast, so I could picture more packs being made.

@AlexSora89 Finest? You may consider it fine (Which I respect), but I personally can't stand the handling. It's really slippery and loose in comparison to the other games in the series. Considering that you need good handling for any racing game, Super Circuit is just rubbish by default. The only course I had any fun on was Ribbon Road.

Well, @Quorthon. Just because I said I was a fan of Lego doesn't mean I'm the kind of guy to act all: 'OMIGODIMUSTCOLLECTALLOFTHEMBUTNOTALLOFTHEMBECUZMONEY'. I'm a fan, but not an avid collector. That's probably why Dimensions doesn't appeal to me, price-wise.

@CharlyDunst Look, I know that Infinity and Trap Team are cheaper because of getting price cuts. What I'm saying is that Dimensions has a launch price tag that put me off. Hell, when Infinity 2 first came out, it was £55 new. That's already cheaper than Dimensions by a long way (Also, I am a fan of Lego and I like the concept, but it's the price of the whole package that's holding me back. Which is a common issue for Lego, come to think of it).

The price for the main game by itself is ludicrous. £90?!? I could buy both Disney Infinity 2 and Skylanders Trap Team with a figure each for that (Both are the main competitors, so not a good start)! The price is ridiculous and I could see parents going "Well, Tomothy. The Lego game was too difficult for us to afford, so how about we get some Skylanders instead?" as a result. Bugger off, Lego.
