Any chance we could get someone to translate cracker on this, as this is a term that is as bad for white people as the "N" word is for black people where I am from.
Not really sure why this would be in a game review for the north american games, as this eludes to a derogitory meaning.
From Wiki: Cracker, sometimes white cracker, is a usually disparaging term for poor whites[1], mainly used in the Southern United States, but in recent decades in usage throughout North America.

The feather was awesome, great for jumping barriers and landing in the water. You could really escape the koopa shells flying all over the place. We would have like tons of them just covering the screen when playing battle.
Great game....a little dated, but one of the best battle games in the series.

Why not check out Exkee's website, where it talks about the game they list the word color alot on their and the game is called colorz...not colourz, I do not know why you guys have to change the word in your review to your own spelling, when the maker of the game obviously intended it otherwise.

Tragickingdom commented on What LucasArts games do you want to see on Vir...:
hey guys, I have been playing games for the last 30 years, I am 40 now. I have owned almost every system, starting with a texas instrument back in 1981, then the c64 and the 128 "loved the disk drives" onto pc, nes and the like. But for some unexplained reason I missed metal warriors. No idea how this happened, but could someone tell me about this game and what makes it great? Someone mentioned it was a mech game, it is sort of like mech warrior for the c64?
Thanks in advance.
Oh and would love to see any lucasarts games, and thanks to george and his crew for making quality stuff for the last 20 years.

I love the games, and they oly take a little while to get the hang of, the frisbee with your dog catching it is fun, and my daughter loves the sword fighting one, but I hate how you can win by throwing off your opponent by blocking all the time.
Great games though.

HAHA...I had to do that very thing for my girlfriend, she was like "What are all these other games...where are the mario games at?"
I was like..."these are listed in the order that I like to play them the most, and mario is on another page"
And she was like," but it is more confusing like this, why not all mario and sonic on the first page?"
Damn, sometimes girlfriends suck, and not in a good way.

Tragickingdom commented on Japanese Virtual Console list - April 2009:
Hey Drake, can you guys do a top 10 or 20 games that are most wanted for each console again? That list has not been updated in a long time, and alot of the games from prior lists are either here already or almost here. I would love to know what your top 10 arcade wants would be also. I miss those articles, because it pointed out some games I either had forgotten about or had never even heard of. Plus it really gives me an idea of what else might be on the horizon. Thanks, Troy

With walmart in the US getting these they put the other cards on clearance to make room for the new stock. (Not sure if this is every walmart, or just my local one.)The 2000 point cards are on sale for $15, hope this helps someone. I stocked up on them and bought 5 cards.

Tragickingdom commented on USA VC Update: Ogre Battle: The March of the B...:
Hey guys, I have a question for all of the more knowledgable people here. When a game that had a limited release as a cart is rereleased on the VC I always hear someone saying that this game or that game sells for so much on ebay because it is a wanted game but very rare.
Could someone make a list of the games that people want the most/sell for the most/ that would be the most welcome on VC to players that don't want to shell out that much cash.
Like:
1.game X - sells for $300 on ebay and is the most wanted
2. Game Y - Sells for $200 and comes next.
or game x was limited to 1000 carts, and game y only had 1500 carts..etc. I really don't know the best list for this type of thing.
I ask because some of the game names you guys throw around I have not even heard of, and I have played every system since my texas instruments carts I played in 1980. I think that since I lived in a rural place I may have missed out on some good games, that never saw release in my neighborhood, because of limited realease or whatever.

Tragickingdom commented on Take Five and Double It!:
It looks like the verdict is in: to get a high score from VC, use the word super in your title. Only two games recieved a low rating when following this formula.

Tragickingdom commented on Take Five and Double It!:

I like the 10 star rating better, but still wish the user rating was avail, it seems more like a (agree with us, since we know better then you) type of thing. And there have been many times I really have not agreed with the rating and was thankful for my, and others 2 cents.

Tragickingdom commented on USA VC Update: Wolf of the Battlefield: MERCS:
I played the heck out of mercs back in the day.
We had a place called Vans, you pay $5 and can play all the games in the arcade all day for free. Used to get there early and close the place at midnight.
They had all the latest games, and it made me try games that I thought might not intrest me, but I soon was having a great time playing.
I wish they would do that with the wii, make all games that have been released for more then 6 months free for 48 hours on a given weekend once a year to see if people would want to pick up the older titles permanently.
Maybe give Ninty some extra coin from the users who might never have bought those games and give us gamers a chance to try a title we might never have thought would interest us.
I got hooked on games like rampart, rampage, ikari warriors, Super off road, and space harrier because of this. None of these had intrested me before, since I wasted my hard earned quarters on guantlet and the such.

@25 Nice, tell someone to try something new, and then say the game looks good but doesn't spark YOUR intrest...LMAO
People love giving out advice as long as they don't live by it.
Maybe smash is what sparks his interest, and not anything else.

#49
Tragickingdom commented on USA VC Update: Sonic Chaos:
I have never really gotten into sonic games except when they first came out and they were better then most of the other stuff out. Still it does seem that everyone has thier personal favorites that everyone else thinks is crap. I am afraid one of my favorite games is despised by most gamers even though I enjoyed it: FF:Mystic Quest. So since I know what it is like to enjoy a game most others do not like at all, I give others a break who like a game I think is utter garbage.
Hoping for better next week.
