TooManyToasters commented on Puzzle & Dragons Z Has Shipped Over 1.5 Millio...:

That's good and all to see Puzzles & Dragons sell well, but I've also heard good things about Radiant Historia and Xenoblade, and now that they're both sitting on my shelf I can play them whenever I want, and being long RPG's it's still likely I won't finish them anytime soon. I feel the same will apply to here if I buy P&D. :/

I don't see why you need all those unnecessary Myst ports when there's a very reasonably priced and above average adaptation of RealMyst on the App Store.

If this means more Square Enix support for Wii U in the future, I'd be satisfied. But I've a feeling Yoshinori Kitase-kun, the producer of those overhyped new Final Fantasy titles, is secretly laughing diabolically at us behind our backs.

TooManyToasters commented on Soul Calibur II HD Online Not Announced For Wii U:

I would more than guess Team Calibur don't want Link stealing their thunder.

Also, I think the guy who wanted Link on that game is currently working on Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS, which means he likely preferred something different to yet another Soul Calibur.

Well written talking point, Damien! :)

I PERSONALLY would like to see more 3rd party support along the lines of the 3DS, but that too took at least 2 years to flourish. So repeating history can't be all bad right?

Besides, even if it doesn't look high end, Earthbound just arrived on VC and everyone knows just how big in content and length that game is. Hell I bet that Xbone and PS4 owners want Nintendo going third party because they're jelly about EB not showing up on THEIR systems.

TooManyToasters commented on Poll: How Important is Dual / Second Screen Ga...:

You're asking questions with a lot of open-ended answers, NL (not just on the poll choices either). Those who buy Wii U/3DS are no doubt happy with the ability of using two screens as well as the option to stick with "classic" controls on Wii U's Pro Controller. But those who are afraid of taking chances with Nintendo or innovation in general stick with the Sony/M$ machines. Either way, you're bound to have a lot of negative feedback to dual screen gaming on multiple levels.

TooManyToasters commented on Talking Point: Nintendo's Wii U Lineup Makes C...:

I really don't care about the small selection shown this year. Bayonetta and Project X both look really good in ways that actually push the Wii U's graphical limits, while Smash Bros. and both Mario titles perfect upon their already-polished predecessors.

DKC Tropical Breeze though? They just kind of added in Dixie and a new enemy (Vikings).

TooManyToasters commented on Cliff Bleszinski Sees A Future Where Nintendo ...:

I admire Cliffy B. I really do.

But I really, really don't see him being right about predicting the future. The game industry has fought and is still fighting through a long and hard battle, and unfortunately I don't see an end to it any time soon. Nintendo wants to keep innovating in order to set the bar for the industry, so be it. Cliff's words aren't even strong enough to stop them.

TooManyToasters commented on Wii U In-Game Voice Chat Won't Use GamePad Mic...:

Well even a nagging flaw like this isn't going to hurt launch or even overall sales, as online gamers are still likely a small fraction of the game market in general. I kinda figured there'd be a redesign somewhere along the road anyway, as there has been for 3DS.

TooManyToasters commented on Capcom: The Next Gen Doesn't Start With Wii U:

Capcom isn't even that fully aware of an ever-changing market and still uses words like "next gen" just because it's commonplace, plus MORE sequels? With the indie development scene getting more prominent I'm already really disliking big business strategies.

TooManyToasters commented on No Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 for Wii U:

Alright, take a moment and look at this situation: any time a game is missing from a catalog for a new system, fans get angry, thereby supporting Reggie's statement of being insatiable even further.

Look, you want every game in the whole damn world buy all three consoles. Just don't come crying to me if want to cut yourself every time there's an iPad exclusive.
