ThatFlint commented on Watch Dogs Will be the Only "Mature" Ubisoft G...:

Well, Assassin's Creed has been the same game every year since 2007. I'm not going to buy a game that I actually already played three times in the past few years (2, brotherhood and 3). Watch Dogs isn't all that good as I've seen from a lot of reviews, so I'm not going to buy that either. I'm not going to buy Ubisoft games just to keep them making games on Wii U. I have played Rayman Legends and loved it and I bought AC 3, which was a pretty poopydoodoocacapoopledoopledoggiedoodoo port, for my little brother, both on Wii U, but right now there's no reason for me to buy Ubisoft games anymore, even though I probably would've bought Tetris Ultimate if it came out on Wii U. I'd rather go for Bayonetta and Smash Bros. instead of Watch Dogs.

ThatFlint commented on Poll: Which Is The Best Legend Of Zelda Game?:

@KeithTheGeek The gameplay is the most important part of a game, though, and I'm glad they focused more on the gameplay this time. I liked both games' plots and I liked them equally as much. I did like Wind Waker's art style more, but A Link Between Worlds's level (or dungeon) design is better, so my opinion still stands.

How ironic that Twilight Princess got the most votes. It's a good game, but it added nothing to the series.
It was a tough choice, but I chose A Link Between Worlds, because that game actually moved away from the standard Zelda formula and did something completely new. The fact that you could choose in which order you wanted to go to the dungeons was refreshing, the wall mechanic changed how you could get around, how you solved problems and how you perceived your surroundings when solving puzzles, the item-renting system made rupees more valuable than ever before and there was no handholding! I'm glad they're going this direction.

ThatFlint commented on Poll: Should Nintendo Patch The Controversial ...:

@Diddy_kong This is actually one of the most balanced item systems yet and maybe even the most fair Mario Kart game ever. They make blue shells appear a lot less, but that in turn makes the game easier. To get the difficulty back they added coins so that the red shells are more of a threat when you're in first place. Red shells can be avoided by making sharp turns and jumping (not gliding) over gaps, but you can't avoid a blue shell (unless you have a mushroom, but those don't appear that often when you're in first).

By the way, if you get hit by 3 items in a row, it's just rotten luck. it happens in every Mario Kart game. You can watch my worst race if it makes you happier: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Wx5uXG4HyY

ThatFlint commented on Retro Studios Talks Up Wii U And Has Been Work...:

The Wii U is more powerful than you think, but people just don't know. The PS4 and Xbone are considered the most powerful systems and the Wii U underpowered, but it's just not true. The Wii U's semi-conductor is three times as powerful as the Xbone's, with 32 MB of eDRAM, which makes it easier to make games in 1080p/60fps for Wii U if the developer is capable enough. Many devs aren't used to the Wii U's architecture, with a GPGPU (a GPU with CPU capabilities), and as a result, they call the Wii U underpowered. Ports look bad, because the CPU is slower and rewriting the entire game to make better use of the Wii U's hardware takes too much time and effort. It's terrible, but at least the 1st party titles look amazing on Wii U (see: Smash Bros., Bayonetta 2, DKC Tropical Freeze, Super Mario 3D World).
