Tempest commented on Nintendo Download: 16th August 2012 (Europe):

£40 to download, £30 off Amazon, £35 if you walk into Game for a copy… that's not even considering the pre-order promotions I've seen going around and the fact with a physical copy you can trade the game in later… not sure what I'm getting from buying digitally other than the convenience of not having to have the game cart when I'm travelling to be honest…

Tempest commented on Could The Wii U GamePad Suffer From Latency?:

Seems to be a lot of speculative news articles about things being seen as 'slow' but without any real numbers or facts behind them coming out recently, hard to take them seriously when they're based on individual wi-fi connections and ISP connection speeds and the details of which are seemingly hidden or undisclosed, it's almost as if they're just exaggerating the results to get into the news! Personally I'll wait until I can try it myself when it's finally released to judge whether or not it's actually an issue...

Tempest commented on Eternity’s Child Confirmed as WiiWare:

Speaking of size limit, any news on Nintendo bringing out some option to expand the internal memory? Would be nice to be able to download all the channels and be able to keep all the virtual console games on the Wii directly really... X_x

Tempest commented on Smash Bros. Brawl to include VC Demos!:

Nice touch, but the comment in the article about the demos being downloadable on your Wii is one that Nintendo should seriously be thinking about, it would help a lot of people to decide whether or not to download the more lesser known games out there...

Tempest commented on Original Smash Bros Coming to VC?:

"I think it would only be a good idea if they released it like a month before it came out. If they do release it a week before Brawl comes out, it just wouldn't be worth it to me."

Exactly, many people would want to get their money's worth from downloading this before moving onto the Wii version, unless you've Wii points aplenty I'm sure the 1000 points for this will put off a few people...

Tempest commented on EU VC Releases - 25th January - Super Street F...:

I guess Nintendo's plan now is:

  • Week 1 - One decent game
  • Week 2 - Two random average/poor games
  • Week 3 - Pot luck
  • Week 4 - If a new Wii version for an existing popular gaming series is coming out next week, release an older version of the game now so people will snap it up, play it for a week and then when they get the Wii version move onto that...
Mix the above options for maximum confusion and frustration at not knowing what will be coming out next week...

Tempest commented on New Duck Hunt Coming to WiiWare?:

If it's genuine, I hope there's a lot more to it than that else I'll lose interest in it fairly quickly really... at least the Zelda Wii Zapper game had some variety and challenge in the modes available, and that was bundled with the Wii Zapper as well...
