@Artwark The sales are fine, it's not about the sales. They just didn't have the Nintendo magic present, they disconnected from their core fanbase, the Wii was a big fat middle finger for anyone who was with them before, and they weren't different from Sony and Microsoft. If you need confirmation on that last statement, I'll let Mark give you it. Skip to 5:00.

Sales don't matter, the approach does.

@HyperSonicEXE Huh, that reminds me of:

But don't get me wrong, the game was good.

I would have loved it if they didn't use motion controls and reworked Metroid Prime 3.

That's the Wii's core demographic, I'll let you decide what you think.
Like I said, Nintendo has been going downhill since 2006, and they haven't been as catering to the people that joined them in the past. Despite this however, this is still entirely opinionated, but I do think there are a lot of people who agree with me. I still think the early 2000's were the best.

"The core audience... we weren't going to win with them on that decision. But we had to think about expanding the user base, we had to be able to market it and make it easy to pick up for consumers."

They are going to die, soon. Now they are trying to rake in old nostalgic fans from 2004 with the "Touching is good" campaign, and replacing it with "New is good". I am beginning to lose all faith in Nintendo. Once again, the Gamecube was and IS better. #Whoareyou? #Borntoplay

@Ichiban It isn't possible for me to agree more with you. GCN was the last outstanding console. The edgy marketing, the wobbly, (but still good), connecting with the GBA, the experimental games, and the perfect console and controller design hit the spot. Sales meant NOTHING. Wii was the worst, first they started to cater to Mommy and Daddy, along with Grandma and Grandpa, and after that they're catering for the little tykes, also I have the liberty to say this as the Wii was my first console. If their next generation doesn't go back to their roots, like with the N64 and Gamecube, I SERIOUSLY fear for their future. I'm scared, and you should be too.

I'm not getting this, I already have MP1 and MP3. I plan to get MP2 for the Gamecube sometime. Besides, I don't want to have to go through that cutscene right after Modgenar in Prime 3 again. shudder I don't like Metroid Prime 3...
