Thanks Bass, but I had mentioned I wasn't looking for info on Tactics Ogre... there's a million games like that on the market!

Okay. I thought that Tactics Ogre was a sequel to Ogre Battle and therefore similar.

I think he means gameplay style. Ogre Battle has a unique battle system, while Tactics Ogre's battle system is emulated in nearly every TRPG

Re: Original Xbox Opinions

There aren't many games that I really cared about for the Xbox. Halo 1 sure, and Phantom Crash. Everything else was fun, but I wouldn't go back to it. Really not the greatest system for unique software.

Re: Recommend some DS RPGs

The World Ends With You:
highly regarded DS rpg, everyone and their mother has played and loves it (except me).

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survior:
really gripping and intriguing story, but if you're a veteran of strategy rpgs, this game's system may bore you a bit

Luminous Arc I and II:
fun, quirky characters and story, nothing really serious, but I found the gameplay more engaging

Lost Magic:
a rare game that didn't get a lot of critical love, but I found that the strategy elements combined with the rune drawing on the touch screen with monster collecting on top, made for a very fun unique experience. The multiplayer is reaaaaaaaaaally addictive. There are over 100 different spells to cast and a few dozen monsters to choose an army so every player will play with their own unique style. My cousin for example would cast a lot of dragon spells and physical attack spells to finish my character, while I'd use teleports, cast walls, and use my monsters to kill his character.

Re: How OCD are You?

I don't worry about washing my hands most of the time and some of the most germophobic people I know aren't the hardest workers in school so I think your system of judgment is a little flawed.

I can't help but still doubt the neutrality of Nintendo's official magazine for a Mario game, at least. Also, most challenging? Unless there is some major change from what we've been shown so far, those levels show no evidence that the game is half as hard as either of the Mario 2's. Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to this game more than any other game short of Other M, but this particular preview seems semi-dubious.

Nintendo Power isn't ran by Nintendo anymore just so you know...

Aquia is better than pictobits! IMO, it's the 2nd best dsiware title yet (and I have pictobits, MFC-the best- and flipnote, along with others not worth mentioning). You could do a lot worse with 500 points coughdrmarioexpresscough

Are you serious??? Dr Mario Express is so worth 500 pts!!! Aquia sucks, imho.

I really liked Dr Mario Express a lot but I could see how someone who had played the game in a more complete format wouldn't like it so much. It was my first exposure to the series so the gameplay was very fresh for me.

Re: Kingdom Hearts or Scribblenauts?

SupermarketZombies

Kingdom Hearts hasn't received the greatest praise. I'd suggest Inside Story based solely on reviews but I haven't played any of these games (and I don't intend to cause I'm getting Hero's Saga Levaetein Tactics and it's sucked up my tiny video game budget for at least a few months).

While it's intriguing, there's no way I can have any thoughts on this until I've experienced it for myself. There are far too many unknowns to consider with this one.

I'd rather have a peripheral that used more senses rather than less. Then again that could be taken too far...I can only imagine what kind of nightmares and emotional scarring that could result from playing a horror game where you can smell the zombies' rotting flesh.

Re: Are religions just theories?

SupermarketZombies

Under the layman's definition of theory possibly but under the scientific defintion religion's aren't theories.

theory a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world

Religion pertains to the supernatural and I will leave it at that to not come off as a jerk anymore than I may have already.
