I reckon they delayed it a week to add GamePad support right out the box and not in a firmware update. Maybe they plan on using that as a selling point on the back of the box. Who knows though, I always thought it was the 26th and only realised PS3 and 360 owners are getting it 1 week earlier. ShopTo had this date for months...

This is why I love Nintendo. They always seem to do (or in this case - not do) the things I want and don't want. They cater for me well.

I much prefer unlocking "real" trophies that I can view and read about like in Super Smash Bros. and Kid Icarus. Rather than a few numbers added to total. What I dislike about Achievements and Trophies is that people make out that they are these amazing gamers because of their high gamer scores. To me this means they got "off the boat" type achievements in a lot of games, or have seeked out that doing 100 continuous barrel rolls gets you 25G. Is this what gaming has become? No says Nintendo :)

I always love the newest Animal Crossing game more than the previous ones. For some reason though I think games like this work better as handheld titles. Same with games like Monster Hunter and Pokemon. I think it's those games you want to play all day long wherever you are. I personally love relaxing and playing Animal Crossing while lying in bed. It's my getaway from the real world. It also has a great online community. Can't wait. :D

If I were to play my 3DS or play my PSP on a plane I would get the same reaction from others. A handheld is a handheld at the end of the day. If you are playing video games, it is seen as 'childish' by any non-gamer. So whether that be DS, PSP or even dare I say an iOS device, it's all seen the same by others.

I'm going all out and have pre-ordered 5 games: Resi Evil, SSFIV, Pilot Wings, DoA and Nintendoggies. I was lucky enough to go to the pre-launch event in London to play them all. Got Pokemon White coming too before that, and even Kirby before that. Nintendo are rinsing me out but it's all worth it.

The battery is enough to last a day. You'll put it on charge every night before bed, just like a mobile phone. My iPhone needs a charge every night, it's become normal to me now. I hope you get the dock with the system, that would promote charging when you aren't playing.

Just need a Europe release date!

I'm a sucka for Nintendo franchises, so I am looking forward to this. As much as I enjoyed the Ninja Gaiden games they also really pissed me off. Let's hope Team Ninja handle Metroid with care.
