@blue-thunder

I can't recall whether I played the Nintendo 64 version, but melee takes an abundant amount of skill to master. I recall going to a friends house one day and seen the Nintendo 64 for the first time and I never even heard of it. Speaks volumes on Nintendos marketing ability even to this day. And I was an avid gamer since I was five. And I'm certain the system has been out for a while because he had plenty of games.

Atari is making a solid step by walking into the gambling scene. it may be different from what Konami does if they aren't going the route of machines, but if anyone visits casinos, whether it's America's or across the seas, Konami slot machines are rather popular on casino floors, and fun. And their hardware is a much better built than IGT, Bally, WMS.

sugarshack commented on Mario Kart Month: Nintendo Life's Team Shares ...:

I can't recall where I read this but I totally agree that Future teams need to show progress on how, why, when I unlock new karts, characters, etc. This invisible unlocking is lazy and unpredictable to the user. They are on track with the coin collecting feature, but it's not quite realized.

Controls are remarkable. Item balance is truly surprising. I say surprising because Nintendo can be arrogant on elements they believe are already suitable or prefect.

Music is actually a letdown. I'm a big music fan and can't begin to think of one track that had tunes worth tapping my foot to or humming after hearing it. Not to say it's hateful, but not top quality.

Highlight reel is pretty damn cool but has awkward camera angles.

New tracks are fantastic. Visuals are a beauty on the 55". Overall great game 8/10.

this is for those individuals that are skeptical about 2016 release..you all realize we're already 5 months completed into this year. There hasn't been a release date announced for one of Nintendo biggest franchises. .zelda. That title has to be at least on the shelf for one year. If it is released in january 2015, it's possible other titles will have release dates in early 2016. This is just a damn decent guess.

sugarshack commented on Preview: Mario Kart 8:

looks great. but the one thing I despise about all Mario karts is once I finish the other racers automatically finish in the positions from when I cross the finish line. If I want a CPU character to finish 4th or later to help with the overall standings, it wont happen. extend the race afterwards and let characters finish, except for the last place finisher.

Own two that aren't on the list. Assassins creed 3 & Tekken TT2. Own five that are. Nintendoland, P3, W101, LofZ WW, 3d World. Sold Darksiders 2 because it was too damn good and couldn't stop playing it. Just like Xenoblade Chronicles.

I'm guessing a new IP or starfox. metroid seems too large of a project right now, Nintendo's business plan for the HD era has been ..start small, adjust to HD, and put out a quality product. starfox could be less work on environments and plot, whereas metroid has those two characteristics in spades.

after watching the Sega version for the first time, I clearly can't understand how anyone thinks the Sega version is better, sound design is awful, commenters saying it's great must listen to lil Wayne or Taylor swift for their music, cause there is no good melodies in there.

It makes more sense in terms of convenience. I have just sold most of my tv seasons on dvd and half of my films because the format is obsolete so I might as well get some decent cash now. I have films and tv shows galore on my external harddrive, I plug that into my bluray players usb and the ease of access to everything works just like my 6 disc cd changer in my truck a dozen years ago. still feels nice loading a physical game into the tray though. : )

as I pointed out a few weeks ago, on the top games of 2014 news article, this game will not be released this year, and I got back lash from fanboys. A release date has a guaranteed month and day. It does not include speculation. Battle system has potential..

I love how people are terribly misinformed on this issue. TRUTH. the developer does not believe this game is any good and shouldn't get the recognition it's been getting thus he took it down. in return moronic people have giving him death threats because of this and there are iPhones on ebay selling for $50000 with software of this game on it. repeat the developer himself says the game sucks. simple as that. research people.

personally I love the system. I got introduced to the pikmin series. Darksiders 2 was enjoyable with the gamepad. miiverse is pretty neat. on the other hand, I just recently added somebody on my 3ds. I go to their profile, what can I do? nothing. I see some generic information whether somebody like dogs or cats I can't send that particular person message there's absolutely nothing exciting about that experience. Nintendo claims they don't want to compete with Microsoft and Sony but they need to compete for developers and publishers make games for their systems. this company has no problem taking risks with their software but when it comes to their hardware it is lackluster. third party developers only have limited resources just like them why would they develop a game for a system that doesn't give programmers any new development skills. if you want to stay on top of this industry you need the best workers working with the best and newest technology. workers at intendo are just introduced HD 3 years ago. start focusing on the competition for 3rd party developers, we already know you don't want to compete with Microsoft and Sony. more companies are tapping into the industry in new ways. steam box, smart phones, ouya, more competition means taking more risks. the hardware choice for the wii was brilliant not so much for its successor.
