Steamboat_Willie commented on Feature: Our Favourite Super Mario Games:

I find it so hard to choose between World and the 8-bit version of Mario 3. So they're both gonna have to share the top spot. And the reason I chose the 8-bit Mario 3 was because I prefer the music and sound effects over the 16-bit version.

My Top 5:
1. Super Mario World and NES Super Mario 3
3. Yoshi's Island
4. Super Mario 64
5. Super Mario 3D Land

Steamboat_Willie commented on Talking Point: What Do You Think of 3DS XL?:

If it wasn't for those two ugly ass colors that the US got I would've gotten one on day 1. Why couldn't they just release the silver and white colors over here as well?

By the way, they just announced Matte Red and Matte Blue DSi's.

Looks like NoA ordered a ton of red and blue gallons of paint from their local Sherwin Williams store.

Steamboat_Willie commented on Atari Turns 40 Today:

The first console I owned. I was so excited when I got the system because that meant I could play Pac-Man without having to go to the arcade. Then I played it. :(

I don't remember much about the system and most of its games anymore, but I do remember having a blast playing Combat, Pitfall, and Adventure on it.

Happy birthday, Atari.

Steamboat_Willie commented on Round Table: Let's Talk About Castlevania:

The platforming, music graphics and challenge have always been the reason why I love this series.

As far as story is concerned? It has never mattered to me. For me it's just: You're a Belmont and it's your job to go into Dracula's castle and kick his butt. That's it.

And finally, I also prefer the old school games over the Metroid style ones for the same reasons that Damien said at the end. I still enjoy the newer ones, though. =)

The only one that I can think of is Bit Trip Collection. I'm getting that one because I never got the Wiiware versions, but I'm sure a lot of people already did.

So, for me it's Zelda and Bit Trip. Never really been a fan of Kirby. I did get Epic Yarn, though.
