With that said this means the Wii U is a next year purchase and i'll be getting ether a xbox or PS4 this holiday season.

No but they're part of a growing Majority of devs who really don't care to support nintendo systems. Its a narrative that's so deep in the industry that its starting to seep into the Mainstream though process about the console.

The only guys we've really seen come to nintendo's help are indies that mostly work on Hardware in the first place.

Excatly why I decided to wait instead of grabbing a WIi U when I had the chance. Really hope that E3 can turn the systems fortunes and mindshare around.

Man this is the dude who had a huge hand in the Prince of Perisa remake as well as being behind Assassin Creed 2 and 3. This is equal to firing Jade Raymond or Michael Ancel.

The Wii Gamepad isn't innovative since the tech is already have been in the main stream since around 2006. Its even isn't really iterative seeing as its worse than most mainstream modern tech.

Also from a pure technology standpoint Kinect is still more innovative than the gamepad. Doesn't mean either is bad or good.

Downloaded real racing 3 on my nexus 7 and the IAp were near offensive. I deleted it and bought Real Racing 2 for $5 so I wouldn't have to deal with that.

Mist of the top teor smart phone games are $4-$10 which is inline with the eshop pricing model. I'd pay full price for some of gameloft games and even pay for the ones free on mobile platforms to get rid of the microtranstion junk.

But madden isn't a dying series. I won't Argus it being the same thing every year because I agree on a base level it is (which is why I buy sports games every single year expect FIFA 13!) But the series isn't dying. I'd call it stagnate at nest due to this being such a long generation and no real hype in RL football right now. Plus EA needs some competition and hopefully not having a Wii U game means they get the NFL lisence took away from them..

My feelings for EA aside I don't think they have done anything deserving of death and millions of probable good people losing their jobs.

The term is couldn't care less.

Any who EA still makes a lot of money and with good cost cutting measures and a few hits they can stay at #2 behind Activision. Also Madden is far from a dying franchise, its not at FIFA levels but no one expects it too be and the game still makes a lot of money.

Also I find it odd how gamers talk about companies profitabilitesa despite not knowing that much. I mean going by what I hear from gamers every company not Activation/Nintendo or Microsoft should be dead.

Its pure logic. Both the 360 and PS3 got madden sorts games upon launch that while being more stripped down compared to the last gen games had online play and a big visual upgrade.

This is the same EA who has all but confrumed that Battlefield is going to be on next gen consoles as well. We already have news that the Tiger woods series was shuttered so a next gen version could be worked on.Ea has had PS4/Durango Dev kits since roughly around E3 2011.

It also wouldn't be Microsoft or Sony paying since this was on EAs roadmap for a while and the Wii U wasn't. Almost every major game coming up will be on every platform and EA is known to rest the series since next gen gets here. (Though it won't be such a great extent this time).

Didn't the super nes have unparalleled third party support while the Wii U can't even get a madden game.

The Wii u box is pretty ugly compared o the Wii. Still being similar didn't help the consoles case.

The Wii U launch was kind of horrible from the perspective of someone who owns an xbox 360. The only bright spots were ZombiU, nsmbu,nintendoland, and the eshop.

Its weird though seeing as the Wii U launch was pretty similar to the Xbox 360 launch line up.

Well yeah i'm assuming the are waiting for the next console to make a lot of the changes. I mean the Xbox is the only Microsoft product that uses Microsoft points despite Windows/phone stores not using the currency in favor of straight dollars.

I'm not saying that sony hasn't made strides in helping the indie scene but to say Microsoft hasn't or won't when we know literally nothing about the next gen xbox live. The only thing you could is look at the developer and store rules for the windows phone and windows store which looks good.

Depending on what Microsot does on media features I would gladly drop $450-$500 on it. Also its highly speculated they're going to offer a cheap susidy model.

But he did get Dues Ex and System Shock right. But I agree unless he I still trying to push the medium forward in this way I really can't take him seriously despite his message being a potential wake up call for the industry.

Gaming is still a pretty fledging art form and were now just coming arcoss a time where games can be taken more seriously as an art form or just having a competent narrative. There have been few examples thus far (bioshock, the original Mass Effect, Journey, the walking dead, Alan Wake, Heavy Rain, spec ops) with Bioshock infinite being the latest and being appulded more for its narrative strides more than having any real gameplay innovation.

This is a good thing but will probably still be a bit harder as the industry instead strives for more yearly blockbusters.

Trailer and how I feel about the port aside it looks like straight right has put in a lot of work into this game. Looking forward to seeing the gamepad guide and the developer commentary.

lol what I love BG&E but the game was a bomba sales wise.

I can see why some would have series fatigue but I've only played the mainline games and just started the third game this weekend.

You do realize that everything developed by unreal doesn't fit into a werid non defined term only well the less desirable side of gamers use.

So it won't get Unreal Engine 4 good to know. If epic won't spend the time to optimize Unreal Engine 4 for Wii U than what are the chances that some external company that has its hands full with the actual development of the game will take time out to port the engine to Wii U. Only way this will happen at this point is if Nintendo itself takes the engine and ports it and the chance of that are happening are pretty slim.

Hate to rain on the parade but by the logic rein is giving here than the WIi would have gotten unreal 3 ports. SO while its quite possible it probably won't happen unfortunately,

first off we don't know if the nextbox will have BC.

second isn't being close to PC mean just that at least in the case of xbox running DirectX. Even now the 360/Windows 8/Windows phone are getting crossports and the 360 doesn't even hare the same NT kernel.

I could see of this was a 720/</PS4 only game like thief. But this has a ps3/360 version meaning no excuse.

What is excatly westernized at square enix other than edios? I mean none of heir games play like WRPGS and mostof the combat and interface plays like it build off of final fantasy 12.

Pretty mcuh the main reason I was buying one.

Seems pretty complicated for something that could be achieved quicker and easier with cloud integration. But alas Nintendo is always five years behind on something's.

So the PlayStation version will be using the PlayStation app support and the Xbox version will be using smart glass support. Yet somehow ubisoft doesn't know how to use the Wii U tablet. Ahem.

Good news for the developer. Bought the game yesterday and it plays like megaman. Stuck on the train boss so far.

38 studios had big troubles and wasn't the studio behind Halo backed by activison publishing.

Game was workers on six years for Dour platforms kind of hard to just throw on a fifth. Game isn't set for this year though and activation does like money.

Time for the green bean to get some screen time.
