Slow down Moffit.. The U isn't the Wii, especially in an era filled with ipad and phones which has seen an explosion. Now add that Nintendo games are $60... temper ur expectations.

Two issues.. Nintendo seems to believe the only way to success is copying the games 3DS has. Tired of the exact same games. It needs to stop! Second, this game and a majority shown by Nintendo doesn't justify a $60 price point. I don't care how good the gameplay is, the content is NOT worth this price point!

Watch Creed Splinter Blacklist Dogs... I'm tempering my expectations with this game... a ton of it looks incredibly "scripted"... "ubiengine" it's like all their games look and feel the same.. except rayman of course!

Hell yes!! The story alone wants me to support them... this is what video games are about!! Plus it's a platformer.. who doesn't love a good platformer! Day 1!!!!!!!!!!

Guys... interesting tid bit.. your used Wii U games will more than likely be worth more when you do a private sale to someone... In effect this means if you resell your Wii U games, expect more. There is simply a LOT more value to a product when anyone can freely sell/use a product that has NO anti consume b.s. like MS is forcing on us.

Nintendo opted out in order to focus on producing GAMES and the deal with bestbuy to bring the E3 experience to the GAMERS!!! HOW FREAKING AWESOME IS THAT?????? Thank you Nintendo!!!!!!!!!! I would rather they spend the money on this deal than some glamor presentation which IMO they aren't very good at anyways! This June is going to be sooo amazing... there aren't enough bombs to go around!!!!!!

Because mainly it's the most ANTI CONSUMER driven tech device ever created!!!!! Did you bother to actually comprehend what they are doing with used games, it needing to check in every 24 hours, forced game installs.. the list goes on and on and on.. I thought MOST people buy a VIDEO GAME CONSOLE for... you know... VIDEO GAMES!!!!! Why did MS decide to stroll in with the XBONE and now have to compete with apple, google, android devices, raspberry pie.. all these other devices that already do it and UNTIE you from the TV.. it's soooooo backwards.... then to top it off they crush used games... if xbox division ever shuts down, good luck ever playing ANY Xbox One games.. Also, everytime I turn on a console, I pretty much just play games and I don't want to be interrupted by grandma calling me over skype or streaming a movie while I play. So $12 for the guns alone??? No, just no! I never supported DLC and I certainly won't start even though I'm buying the game for the second time. It's a great game, but this crap has to STOP!!!!!!!!

Logically, the reason is EA tried to force Nintendo into bankrolling future games and or exclusive timed content etc.. you see MS doing this with some BIG pubs... Nintendo pushed back and EA once again offered something and Nintendo once again said, no thank you. What does EA do? Pull the plug.. EA probably tried to convince Nintendo the amount to "invest" to get their Frostbite 2 engine was going to be a huge investment and Nintendo would have to "pay for support" in order to get the time and money to get it working.. You can see the trickle down effect... EA started small by some developer claiming Wii U can't handle the FB 2 engine.. then it poured over into SR. level which obviously affected EA's bonus structure or general compensation. This is why the guy is so pissed off.. It has NOTHING to do with wanting to work on the Wii U platform.. it has everything to do with EA's bottom line which is becoming absolute garbage!!

Anti consumer practices and recycled garbage is what is going to do them in. It's only a matter of this next gen will be their last breath. And they will have done it all to themselves. I honestly don't care.. we would benefit from this as we would see more games focused on gameplay and mechanics which cost 10-30$ Not this 60 and possibly $70 video games.. EA can sit on it and rotate for all I care.

Is it me or is Japanese devopers and publishers throwing in the towel on AAA console titles? It appears they are scaling waaaay back and for good reason. . Just look at the 3DS.. why is it getting major supportort.. time, budget, risk, profit.. even down to the price of the game.. The $60 gaming market is erroding so fast it's making publishers heads spin. The market is now economy titles $5-$20.. It's the number one reason why Nintendo has become more open than either MS or Sony.. for every one mimecraft hit that is not on your platform is becoming a glaring issue... I'm not talking about AAA $60 titles here.. Nintendo not only wants but needs this market.. As the market continies to contract this is where indies could flourish and give Nintendo a new area to foster some potential exclusives that could become smash hits.. It's already looking really good for Nintendo is this area..

They need to cut the prices in half to start.. 7.99 for a SNES game is so out of line I'm not sure what Nintendo is thinking.. I have to call it like it is.. get with the times Nintendo!

The reason they did it was to carrry that strong Wii brand forward. Not to mention all peripherals are compatible. . Yeah.. I know.. not my decision!

This is one of the reasons for the slow start with regards to Wii U sales. There are a lot more.. gamers have stopped "early adopting". Paying a premium for little to no software. . And this post launch draught has got to be the worst ever for a console...

Nintendo holds plenty of responsibility here.. In fact all of it. 4 years prior to the Wii going away, they should have expanded their development group two fold.. yet they waited waaay too long and recently found out how much more difficult it is for HD development. . Come on Nintendo. . This YOUR fault!

Absolutely. . Nintendo has been super pro active towards indie devekopers, as they realize a ton of great content is like the nes/snes era all over again! It will be interedting times.

The real question is.. who is going to go first... the console manufacturers, or the developers/publishers? It's understandable that console manufacturers have to come out with new hardware but some companies like Epic and Mr. Rein are looking to bankrupt the industry... and the funny thing is.. the western developers have the same obsession with graphics and realism.. more so than even gamers... sad thing is, I'm not sure they see it coming, the titanic has already begun to sink and now AAA game cost could be doubled? Even if they somehow reduce costs, the model isn't working.. there are dark times ahead... I can only hope somehow there is new perspective and find a way to keep my favorite hobby alive and healthy!!

It's a terribly executed series.. clunky controls, lame qte's and disconnected feeling between missions.. it has too many flaws to be remotely enjoyabe.. I sold ac3 waay before I finished and bought something well worth my cash.. to each their own though..

They don't like Nintendo because Ninty sided with the Unity engine. . For the most part, AAA big budget games arw going bye bye... and who honestly notices the differences anymore? I have a high end PC and NFS MW on Wii U looks incredible.. I'm just not seeing the difference anymore.. from the last 3-4 years on.. it's negligible at best.. not enough to give a poop.. if it really makes development that much easier. . Fine.. but at what cost?

Uh dude.. Nintendo isn't in the $599 for a console and multi million dollar loss leader... seriously... did you not realize they have been making money on hardware for decades until just the 3DS and Wii U? They are FAR FAR from arrogant.. in fact Iawatta even said they considered Wii's resounding success a bit "lucky" The real scenario is Nintendo HAS to provide it's FANS with all the IP's they have been making for the longest time.. games that while use the similar characters etc. try to create a new experience.. even if some of the mechanics are the same.. that's how you build upon an already existing working model!

And who here honestly believes either the PS4 or the next xbox is goint to set the world on fire??? NOT!!!!!!!! Sales will be as abysmal, attack rates will be horrendous! Just look at all the cross "next gen" games that are coming to 360/PS3.. that alone is going to keep people complacent.. not to mention, people are BURNED out on 8 year old hardware... the last gen cycle is KILLING the industry.. and to top it off publishers are sinking 100 million into creating a game that needs at least 5 million to break even?? The TITANIC is just rounding the corner and going to sink with all the publishers on-board.. first THQ who was a top #5 world publisher... HELLO PEOPLE!!?!?!? Anyone recognize what's going on here?? And to top it off, a near world economic recession... I would be more concerned if my favorite hobby is going to survive!!

I think we will see a major reboot in game development.. Minecraft and the like are the future... I'm willing to guarantee you Nintendo is well under their way to supporting and getting EVERYONE on-board.. because that other ship is already SINKING!!!!

REALITY CHECK TIME!! The industry is no longer fueled by games like BF 4!!!! They are fueled by small indie developers.. Did the person who wrote this somehow miss the GDC where Nintendo's one click button that automatically compiles a bunch of various games programmed in languages and automatically submits it to them? The next MINECRAFT is where the market is and will be going! It's like a complete friggin REBOOT, and if you don't see this, well then you sir, are BLIND! Nintendo is reaching out to EVERYONE... This is how you get back to how they "used to be" and a LOT of these games are worthy purchases even if low budget.. again, take Minecraft as an example. It's almost like Nintendo knows their audience EXPECTS those high end franchises... they CAN'T do it all themselves!!! This is their direction and it's an AWESOME ONE! Be PATIENT! You build it, they will come!!!!

Considering a LOT of the other offerings on 3DS shop, this game smokes everything out of water! First the quality is superb.. super tight controls and simply executed with perfection. . It deserves all the credit and sales! Best $2 of gaming money I have ever spent.. and possibly in my lifetime!

Its a last game gen that has been in developement for how long now? Its the exact sane reason Tomb Raider and other late previous gen games are not coming to wii u.. it has to do with dev cycle and a commitment to a fair amount of resources the publisher doesnt want to spend.. blame it on the wii if anything..

If I'm MS or Sony the only thing I would be happy about is the very late adopters will eventually become ps4/xbox next.. but not until 8 years later? I'm not sure this is good.. I will be flabbergasted if ps4/xbox next sales will be anything better than what Wii U is facing now.. these are shaky grounds for console manufacturers. It appears most people are going for VALUE. $70 games are NOT going to sell. AAA market is going to burst!

Nintendo realizes it's not going to miss the next minecraft type game on their platform.. this is the single best move they have made.. the whole market has shifted and AAA games are no longer able to support a whole generation without access to more games at varying prices..

I enjoyed the demo.. it had a mix of shinobi for 3ds and a scaled back castlevania.. almost like the snes version but with waaay better combat.. I'm looking forward to this!
