Entirely not meant to discredit the review in any way nor the review job, but I think people act a bit to much according to just an opinion of someone else. If you limited yourself in this way, you'll miss out on a lot in life.

Friend of mine that has a 3DSXL having bought just about five 3DS games did receive the mail. Where does that leave me with over hundred 3DS retail games, multiple 3DS devices, etc. Good thing I already have a New 3DS XL imported, but still 'most loyal customer', it stings...

@Genesaur I don't find this so incredible. I have multiple 3DS devices and a library of over hundred physical retail 3DS games, let alone countless eShop purchases. No email so far, and none to be expected as it's UK only apparently. A big thanks Nintendo !

A bit to much of a coincidence with Ubisoft's release to conclude it's anything other than Ubisoft arranging this removal. It's a shame because their 'Ultimate' version is actually quite good offering a fresh multiplayer spin to the gam and the price is very fair. Kind of overshadowed now due to this removal, it's a very ugly method to combat competition this way.

This game seems packed with multiplayer features, the support for even Download Play - which is vastly in decline recently - is a very welcome one. I'll be picking this up soon.

Looking at F-Zero: GP Legend , why is it so Nintendo does still nor release GBA games for the 3DS? Will they ever? Did they ever state their view on this? It's certainly technically possible as some ambassador games are GBA ones. I'm beginning to think it's deliberate to create an additional incentive to own a WiiU.

Luckily, I own a F-Zero: GP Legend physical copy in pristine condition.

@EyeCancer_Games I do not think the name can be misinterpreted. Your choice of company name is inexcusable, distasteful and disrespectful for those suffering. Yeah animal, we get it, It's a word that is simple not used, period. It's also clear from your explanation the pun towards the disease was on purpose, an initial shock effect with a goodhearted 'crab' backstory to soften the overall conclusion. To each his own, but I'm not a fan of it, even though I like double-sided meanings behind names.

EDIT: great game though

Very impressive, and deserved because it's a remarkable adaptation on the platform. I don't get the criticism some above me, it's not an easy task to adapt a (twitch fighting) game like this to a portable platform. I do recognize though, Dead or Alive Dimensions is even better. But all my comments here are from a technical point of view, whether you like Streetfighter or Dead or Alive is subjective.

Only recently came out here in Europe. It may not be earth shattering innovative, it's quite an ambitious project mingling different genres together making no moment in the game ever feel the same, always something new or different to do. And all of this with classic iconic characters, I truly hope this was a worthwhile investment for Disney, sure like to see a similar approach on their future 3DS games.

I'm 39 years old and I still remember the day my dad came home with a 'Sega Master System Light Phaser Gun Controller', must have been almost 30 years ago. What a special moment, certainly in a period and location where gaming consoles and games were something far far away and not readily available within the region. Let alone the very exotic light phaser gun, thanks dad!

SeVok commented on Nintendo's New Response: Some amiibo "Likely" ...:

Looks to me like artificial buzz/hype creation. Why on earth should they start to discontinue certain figurines? That makes no sense with a product that just launched, the only reason I can come up with is creating headlines and drawing attention. No such things as 'ebay omg I have to get it, its rare' hype I guess...

SeVok commented on Feature: Five Reasons To Choose Nintendo 3DS T...:

As an owner of the New 3DS XL, I can vouch there is no reason to buy a current 3DS or 3DSXL. The 3D on the New 3DS XL is so stunning, so rock-solid, it's day and night. However, some of us are sort of collectors and I understand completely some people still buy a current model. In the end these are fine handhelds, can't really go wrong. Unless budget is real tight, in that situation = wait. Nintendo is surely going to release the New 3DS in the west before March 2015 to boost it's financial year.

Unique games can be experienced on many platforms, on the 3DS you can do this in glass-free 3D. For me still reason number one to recommend one, I love it and my slider is never down. For me gaming is all about immersion and the 3D brings you so unbelievable closer to the experience.

At this point I can't help the feeling that a level of prejudice is involved with Sonic games. No matter how they are, there's been so many mediocre attempts people cannot look passed it, approaching this game differently. Switch out the characters and IP and launch it not using the Sonic brand and people would praise this game for it's gameplay.

What was Game Informer smoking giving this a 6/10? I think 8/10 is even bit harsh, can easily be an 8,5 to 9. The freedom, the almost mmo like scope with exploration, the art direction and genius class system where one can viable play and finish the game as, for example, a woodcutter. Amazing in a world of generic releases.

SeVok commented on Hardware Review: Nintendo 2DS:

An avid fan of the original 3DS and 3DSXL I was initially very skeptic about the 2DS. As in no 3D sceen, only mono sound, cheap fisher-price plastic look of the thing is utterly hideous. However with the introduction of the translucent models, especially the blue crystal one matching the latest Pokémon release, I decided to purchase the 2DS.

At first for just about €100 I decided to add this on to my collection, but upon actually using it I've been amazed about how good it feels to play on. I've read that already but for some reason undervalued that. The translucent models look absolutely gorgeous and feeds my nostalgia for old skool Nintendo handhelds.

No regret at all of my purchase and my 'respect' for the 2DS has gone up. Yes, the 3D is a large trade off for a 3D fan like myself, but the sharpness of the screen combined with how good it feels to play on makes this device a choice, not a lesser option.

Well for what it is worth, I couldnt find Tomodachi Life on launch day in five differrent local stores of different franchises. Was not on stock due to late shipment by the distributer it sounded.

This is a new iP, it needs time to develop attention. Unlike many think here, the majority of sales are not from people here for example who follow Nintendo news or gaming web sites...

I dont think the play coin feature is that dramatic, I for find it an interesting one. To few games use play coins. In the end this should suffice for casual play, those that are heavy into the game should buy it. The game is worth it.

@CargoSushiimira I wonder if people really buy this game for the "wow I can have a virtual marriage" aspect. There's more to the game then that, I - as a hetero - certainly do not buy it for that "feature". I recommend to not focus to much on that aspect.

I'm on the fence for this one for some time, but without a demo the price was to high to dive into a - for us here - unknown franchise. I hope the discount comes to EU as well, I do not see any reason to only do it in the US.

SeVok commented on Nintendo Download: 5th June (Europe):

@ledreppe That's just the problem, software purchased in the store is tied to the hardware, thus that specific 3DS. When you buy another 3DS after the loss or theft, you cannot download the games again.

If Nintendo switches to an account based system (like everyone and there mother e.g. PSP, Vita, iOS, Android, etc) you could log on to brand new hardware and re-download every single game you ever purchased. So yeah, everyone with a 3DS and lots of e-Shop purchases is walking around with a small fortune they could lose forever in seconds.

Buying Tomodachi Life retail. I buy A LOT of games on the e-Shop but if there is a retail version I buy it. Still preferring the box & cartridge, even more so due to Nintendo's way of handling purchases and it not being account based. There's a small fortune installed on my 3DSXL and I can lose it all in case of defect or theft, that is so not 2014...
