Scryble commented on La Mulana Creator Addresses Speed Concerns:
Mmm... I like it fast, anyways.
I've played the first hour of the freeware original, and colour me impressed. The game intrigued me because of its rudeness in comparison to more contemporary adventure games. Instead of walking me across the street and buying me an ice cream, La Mulana invited me into her car for a country ride, than stole my watch after spitting in my eyes, and kicked me into a ditch, leaving me to find my way home.
Needless to say, I enjoyed ever moment of it.

Wow. I'm kind of floored by those screens! I never played the original, but if it has been loved as much as Cave Story, then I'll totally give this a go.

I'd laugh if 5 minutes into the game Sgt. Mindstrong shouts "That's why you're still a kid!"
... maybe I've just been playing too much Onslaught...

I'll probably end up buying this just to see what Higgins looks like in a pink leopard skin loin clothe...

Looks like Onslaught is a run-away success. Maybe this will give incentive to Hudson to release some DLC missions/modes.

I wonder if other third party developers are going to start focusing their attention on Wiiware now... SEGA? Konami? It wouldn't be a bad move, as I'm sure Nintendo is going to remove the memory cap on WW games once they release the SD update this spring.

Fix 4 #189 (sorry about the double post)
That's not to say Hudson's FPS offering wasn't serious.

I just read the review. I'm lost at trying to comprehend what he expected out of this game. Onslaught is a digital download title, not a retail game. You can only expect so much from a game of such humble roots. As well, he actually compared this title, which I remind everyone could only fill a maximum of 43 MB, to "any serious alternative on the 360/PS3". If I were Hudson, I'd take that as a compliment.

Scryble commented on Review: Onslaught (WiiWare):
Fantastic review, and to my knowledge, the first official one for this game!
To be honest, I really didn't know what to think about Onslaught. Like you said at the end, a FPS (even without online) seems unthinkable for Wiiware. But if you guys give it the thumbs up, it must be good!
Day one purchase for me when it reaches North America!

Fantastic interview. Indy-developers have seemed to have found their home on Nintendo's little white box.

I loved the flash version! The more I hear about the Wiiware release, the more I'm interested in it (co-op and versus is really cool, hope they add level editor with wi-fi sharing...)! This and Eduardo are on my radar.
