Great review for a great game. While I consider Secret of Mana the better of the two, I had a great time playing this game. Hope this comes to the VC!

I really hope this comes to the VC, together with Gargoyle's quest II for NES. I have not yet played any of these titles, but i did own and enjoy the first gargoyles quest for the game boy. I really liked that game...

The only Sega game I really want is Warsong, which has already been released on the Japanese VC. Even if mine is the only vote, just pass it on to the people at Sega!!

Hm, really looking forward to Contra Rebirth, although i'd actually prefer the european version sporting the old robot models as I really liked playing with them.

Was this game ever released in PAL-regions, or only in NA? because if it was only released in NA, i guess we can forget ever seeing it on the VC in Europe . It's a real shame cause i really want to play this game (without having to resort to emulation)
BTW, the fact that it hasn't even been released in NA makes me think they are actually unable to obtain the rights/licenses for releasing it outside of Japan. What do you think?

Mabushi seems strange enough to actually warrant a purchase. I'll wait for the review though to make my decision. As for critters round up, well the less said the better..

@croomz: back in the days you could actually play this game with up to three people, but for that to happen you had to have the snes multitap cord (of what else it was called). Sweet memories playing nights on end with my brother, one of the first games to really touch me.

@ Iggy, you must definitely try this game out. It plays the same as the sublime Secret of Mana, but has a darker tone to it, and a unique (well certainly at the time) way of casting spells. (magic is called alchemy here and it's about collecting ingredients and finding the recipes)
For fans of great action-rpg's of the 16-bit era, this is not one to miss!!

Man, this game looks really promising! I was wondering though, is it recommended that you play through episodes 1 to 4 in chronological order following the storyline, or can they be played perfectly at random? And won't starting with PS IV kind of ruin the other games as they're apparantely not up to the standards of 4?
