I'd definitely play a horror game set in the metroid universe. A federation base is taken offline and you and your squad are sent to investigate. Most of you die and you try to set up a warning signal to get other ships to avoid the base, knowing they will just be over run by the metroids.

@Linkuini Yes, but I'm in the states, so that's how it affects me. It's not like I'm gonna be bothered by people in Ireland playing with British accents (no offense).
@AshFoxX Horrible voice acting is a pretty big turn off for some people, and while many seem to be amused by the robot miis I just find them intolerable. Saying turn the sound off isn't a solution, that's just trying to ignore it.

The voices may very well be a deal breaker for me. I don't care if it's intentional, it bugs the crap out of me and is my only problem with the game. It would be an insta-buy any other way.
EDIT: And America is waaay to big an area to say "American accents" as there are a million different accents in America and everyone makes fun of each other over it. If I'm stuck sounding like the people I make fun of, that will also be a deal breaker.

SkywardLink98 commented on Nintendo Provides Some Context to 2013's Tomod...:

I don't really have strong feelings one way or another with this topic so it won't have any affect on my decision to purchase it. I feel bad for the people who were looking forward to that option in the game, though on the other hand I can understand why Nintendo wants to avoid getting involved in this issue (though that's pretty hard since straight people can date and get married in the game, so I guess they're doing a pretty terrible job of it).

@bizcuthammer Actually it changes some of the dialogue in meaningful ways. If you have been evil up until that point with her dying breath she tells you how she despises you, and is disgusted because of what you have become. On the other hand, if you're good she'll thank you for all the good you've done and say how proud she is of what you've become. Plus being good or bad will determine what powers you get, and in the second one, the fate of humanity.

SkywardLink98 commented on Just 2% of Ubisoft's Q3 Sales Were for Wii U:

@Goginho Well, it's not Ubisoft's job to build the console up. I doubt they want to spend millions investing in the Wii U. Considering all the variables (other companies doing the same, sales, Nintendo, etc.) doing what you're saying is quite a risky strategy. That's not to say it wouldn't work, it's just they can't do it on their own.

Idea for Kickstarter: Great!
Execution of Kickstarter: Needs a lot of work.
The only game I've ever really "backed" was Starbound (though that wasn't through Kickstarter). The problem is there is always a huge risk with backing something. Typically, if they have created games before (and were good) they'll have the money to make the game themselves. It's the unknown studios that need the money, and it's of course a huge risk to back them.

Fire Emblem... second... to Animal Crossing!?!? As a proud owner of both, I find this insulting, as Fire Emblem was at least twice as addicting as Animal Crossing. Haven't played Zelda yet, but it better be [I'd curse, but it's against my religion, so you'll have to do without] good considering how amazing Fire Emblem was.

I found the no-perma-death thing actually made the game harder. I lost (on easy) after clearing it on the same difficulty with permadeath. I lost taking the fort because I decided I would take a riskier strategy, and well, it didn't pay off.
