Rumbler commented on Talking Point: An Open Letter To Nintendo:

From what I've read...
From day 1, who wouldn't enjoy what the Wii U had to offer (...January 13? Wow, you, my friend, have been taking your time. Although it's not as if cash grows on trees...)? There's Miiverse, a load of cool apps, eShop, and games like Nintendo Land and New Super Mario Bros. U, alongside the recently-released Lego City Undercover.
Sure, the Wii U may have had its bad times (Rayman Legends getting ported to other platforms and being scheduled to release for September, if I recall correctly, even Ninja Gaiden 3 got the 'other console' treatment, then the sleuth of negative reviews and criticisms by mainly Nintendo-disliking analysts and game developers, which I mainly overlook), but is it already a total failure (Trust me, you'd draw better attention complaining about the Virtual Boy)? If I recall correctly, the DS and 3DS didn't do too well at release, but a couple of good, no, excellent games later... Look at them now. The system's been out for, like 5 months, so isn't it a bit too early to make others believe you're throwing in the towel on the Wii U? Technically none would expect the console to sell like hot-cross buns on day 1 (...Now that I think of it, I believe that was the case.), or during the first few months, but Nintendo believes in delivering high-quality games, even if they take quite a while in the development studio.
Nintendo may not be doing anything regarding Wii U sales, but given a couple more months, things should turn around. Consider recent releases like Lego City, Need For Speed and Monster Hunter 3 U a fraction of what the Wii U can truly offer. Until the real system-sellers come out, lay off the gripe. It may have been stated in the letter, but we can't expect Nintendo to constantly churn out high-quality games. Although 3rd-party support is a big factor, one that the Wii U does lack. Clearly major companies like EA and Ubisoft just don't seem to be pulling their weight.

Rumbler commented on Team Meat: We'd Work With Nintendo If Meat Boy...:

This seems more silly than stupid. Now I will ask:

Who is this Meat Boy?

So these guys think, get him in Smash Bros., and they'll work for Nintendo? Puh-lease. Like Nintendo would ever think of putting this oh-so-obscure character in one of their biggest franchises, let alone have the company work for them?

Satoru Iwata and Masahiro Sakurai, if by any slim chance either of you are reading this, dismiss this company. It's not like Nintendo needs this company, not after the insanity they've spouted. Anyone wants characters from mature games (published by Nintendo)? There's Eternal Darkness, Geist and Zangeki No Reginleiv, seriously. This Meat Boy or whatever-his-name-is would have a better chance at Playstation Allstars Battle Royale.

Rumbler commented on Miyamoto Discusses Retirement In Recent Interview:

Heart-rending as this may be, I suppose his retirement is an inevitable event. As he departs, I sincerely hope that he leaves development of the Mario games and other related EAD titles in capable hands.

...I'm hoping for Takashi Tezuka.

Rumbler commented on Another Study Claims Playing Wii Can Benefit S...:

See, non-believers (if there were any)? Games aren't all guns, violence and negative things in general, they can very well be channeled into good.

But what's up with no Trauma Center? The headline mentioned surgeons, and that was the first thing that popped into my mind. On an technically unrelated note...

Daisuke Kanada, if you're reading this, I'm hoping you've got Trauma Center U/3DS in the works.

Rumbler commented on Super Mario 3D Land Sales Outpacing Super Mari...:

If I rated Galaxy, Galaxy 2 and 3D Land:
*Galaxy: 9.79/10
*Galaxy 2: 9.86/10
*3D Land: 9.28/10

The Galaxy series (Sure, I know we're only focusing on one, which is the first one) was the epitome of platforming brilliance, destined to almost never be unrivaled. 3D Land was a great game, with some of the best graphics and music on a 3DS game. But it was so disappointing that the difficulty mechanic was so low. Maybe the Japanese are seeing something in 3D Land that they may not be seeing in Galaxy... But relax, I'm pretty sure the East loves a challenging game just as much as the West does.

Rumbler commented on EA: Excited About New Generation Which Is "Yet...:

Back in the day I can see myself playing EA games... mostly sports games (NBA Street Basketball Vol. 2 and SSX Tricky, which were two GCN faves.) I also enjoyed EA Playground. From the comments I've read...

Nintendo's audience is (mainly) children and teenagers. I think EA's going about this all wrong; they should rather keep on producing games like the aforementioned ones on Nintendo consoles and keep on giving Microsoft and Sony the adult-rated titles. Although if they can't get their games to work the way they want them on the Wii U, that's a whole 'nother tale...

Rumbler commented on Iwata Implies That He Could Step Down Over Slu...:

It would be tragic if Iwata does resign... which I hope he doesn't. He and Nintendo should hold out until we get a chunk of the games shown at January's Nintendo Direct. Without a doubt, they'll restore Nintendo's lost glory.

Rumbler commented on Disney Infinity Will Have A New Game Released ...:

Interesting idea... but what I want from a Disney game is a freakisly outlandish crossover. E.g.:
The Disney game should have the characters from the following series:
*Phineas & Ferb:
Phineas
Ferb
Candace
Baljeet
Buford
Isabella
Agent P (Perry the Platypus... duh?)
Dr. Doofenshmirtz
Mayor Roger
Agent P's Commander
Carl (...What?)

Shake It Up:
*Rocky Bleu
*CeCe Jones
*Ty Bleu
*Flynn Jones
*Deuce
*Gunther & Tinka
*Gina

Gravity Falls:
*Dipper
*Mabel
*Stan
*Wendy
*That big-looking dude... Wonder what's his name.

Dog with a Blog:
*Stan
*Avery
*Tyler
*Bennett
*Ellen
*Chloe

Austin & Ally:
*Austin
*Ally
*Dez
*Trish

Whew... that was long... but those are the guys 'n' gals I'd like my dream Disney game to have. I'm pretty sure Infinity's got Pixar characters covered.
And finally, the game should have the theme of what Disney does best: a party/musical/rhythm theme!

Rumbler commented on Feature: The Big Wii U Direct Summary:

I've got my eye on what it is that Monolith Software is developing. I'm also interested in Mario Kart Wii U; Mario Kart's just my favorite Nintendo racer. What really has me twiddling my thumbs is what we'll see for Super Smash Bros. 4!

@BalloonFighter:
Mario titles can't constantly take their names from space. What about... Mario City? Hey, why not Mario 3000? It's Mario... in the future!

Rumbler commented on SUMO Digital Invites Fans To Campaign for Soni...:

I'm not sure about racer DLC, but I suppose it shouldn't hurt some! Provided I have the dosh to bag it.
Characters I want as DLC (assuming they're not in the game already):
Max (Shining Force: Resurrection of the Dark Dragon)
Cream the Rabbit & Cheese (Sonic The Hedgehog)
Rouge The Bat (Sonic the Hedgehog)
NiGHTS (NiGHTS Series)
Combo (Jet Set Radio Future)
Baby (Super Monkey Ball 2)
Leanne (Resonance of Fate)
Zylo (Shining Force: Resurrection of the Dark Dragon)
Rolf (Phantasy Star 2)
Guntz (Shining Force: Resurrection of the Dark Dragon)
Yogurt (Shining Force: Resurrection of the Dark Dragon)
Bravehoof (Tournament of Legends)
Valeska (Tournament of Legends)
Bast (Tournament of Legends)

Done! (Er... isn't it a bit too much, Rumbler?) If there was DLC for stages, I'd take:
Binary Domain
Total War
Vanquish
Crush 3D
Rhythm Thief
Planet 51
Tournament of Legends
Infinite Space
Phantasy Star
Skies of Arcadia
Daytona USA
SEGA GT Rally
Toy Racer

Now I'm going to go vote!

Rumbler commented on Sumo Digital: Mario Kart Could Learn From Soni...:

Question:
What does Mario Kart need to learn from All-Stars Racing Transformed? Transformed, like its predecessor, takes courses from other SEGA franchises. Same went for SEGA Superstars Tennis. With innovative and fun courses like Music Park, Mushroom Gorge, Baby Park, Moonview Highway and Rainbow Road, I believe Mario Kart sets the standard for other racing games to follow. And hasn't Mario Kart appropriated content from other series? Mario Kart 7's DK Jungle featured hazards from Donkey Kong Country Returns. F-Zero's Blue Falcon made an appearance in Mario Kart Wii. Still on 7, Wii Sports Resort and Pilotwings Resort's Wuhu Island featured. And besides, it's called "Mario Kart"; introducing characters and locations from other franchises (personal exclusion of Kirby) will derail it from its name. And in terms of Nintendo crossovers, we've got Warioware, Super Smash Bros. and Nintendo Land, which I believe will suffice for the time being.
