Re: Badly Reviewed Games You like

Lux-Pain. If you look past the fact that the translation is a bit wonky and accept that it's more of an interactive novel than an action-packed game, there's a really absorbing adventure to be had, one which isn't afraid to tackle touchy subjects (suicide, murder, mental instability) head on. I love it.

Re: Top 3 Favorite WiiWare games

Rum_Rapture

1. World of Goo
2. NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits
3. Bomberman Blast

I only have 3 other WiiWare games. Bit.Trip Beat would be up there, but it's so hard, and I'm so easily frustrated, I couldn't justify it! Tetris Party didn't because BB's online multiplayer is better by a country mile, and MaBoShi didn't make it because I do'tn liek itt.

Re: Couple of EU release questions

Rum_Rapture

I've heard that Rising Star are doing Arc Rise Fantasia as well, along with Rune Factory Frontier at some point this year or perhaps early next, but I'm guessing that there's not much info concerning them at the moment because they don't really have any solid release dates for them. I'm really looking forward to ARF (haha, that's an amazing abbreviation!) so fingers crossed it does hit European shores. Looking forward to Tatsunoko vs. Capcom too, particularly because of the control scheme; I love Guilty Gear XX Accent Core but I'm appalling at it because it's just so complex! With any luck TvsC will be easier to get to grips with!

Re: Edge magazine gives The Conduit a review score of only 4/10!!

This was clearly an unfair review. There's no way you could play this game, look at all the work that went into, and give it a 4/10.

What? Why? How much work goes into a game and how good it actually is are two unrelated things.

I'm not surprised it got a poor score, but I'm surprised it got a poorer one than the infamously pap Haze (5/10).

Edit: Also, Giant Bomb gave it 2/5 stars, where's their backlash thread?

Re: EU WiiWare Line-up 5/6: Final Fantasy IV: The After Years

Apparently the EU gets a clock and a calculator (I don't know which ones) and another Art Style game (I don't know which one) on DSiWare.

Reading that over, not really a very informative post overall, haha.

Edit: Apparently it's Art Style: KUBOS, which is NALAKU in Japan. I know, wrong thread, wrong forum, but I guess it explains why we seemingly only got one Wii title.

Re: Games Beaten in 2009

Rum_Rapture

Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
Tales of Symphonia
Super Paper Mario
Dragon Quest IV: The Chapters of the Chosen
New Super Mario Bros.
Meteos
Pokemon Red
Pokemon Fire Red
Pokemon Sapphire
Pikmin
Chrono Trigger
World of Goo

I'm trying to complete my back catalogue rather than succumb to spending too much money on new games. I have quite a lot that are a work in progress, so there are several half-completed games that I can add to that list soon, hopefully!

That's actually one of the games I'm working on! I got stuck on Jumpin' Jack Flash on Cruisin' as well, but if you stick at it, everything clicks eventually. There are more difficulties to follow, mind, I still haven't completed the 4th one!
