If Itoi doesn't want to do more, I think that's very respectable. Unlike other mediums, video-gaming seems unique (in a negative way) in that it never seems to want to let a series end, unless it's unsuccessful. With books or movies, a series ends when the story is closed or the creator wants to, (ideally - obviously when things get hugely popular & have multiple interests to please, series can get horribly milked) but with video games it seems that people always want remakes, redos, updates, sequels, endlessly. Even when you have a nearly perfect record of games in a series, fans still demand more. Sometimes I wonder - should we as fans and consumers of this medium be more content with what we already have, (thousands of amazing games over the years) rather than always looking forward towards the new? People always complain or beg for new better games, but do we ever stop to realize how many games we already have I dunno - just a thought.

On the topic of this looking like a "PS2" game - first off this clearly is well above what a PS2 could handle, the comparison is rather silly. There's no way a PS2 could handle this stuff, espcially at 60 fps. I should know, I actually just bought a PS2 for cheap & am in the middle of playing through it's huge library.
Also on a second note, I think art style far trumps actual graphical fidelity. Games that were more stylized in previous generations tend to age far better than those that go for realism. Even though it's being used as an insult, there are still several games that look stunning on the PS2. Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3, Shadow of the Colossus, Shin Megami Tensei III, all those games still look great, not the least of which is because of their impeccable art design. Wind Waker is a ninty example of that same principle, that game still looks great, even the original gamecube version.
Finally - it's Star Fox! You guys have complained and begged for a new Star Fox for years! You all played and loved Star For 64, and probably still do, and some of us enjoy the other games as well & this has better graphics than those by far! When you go back and play 64 do you think "This looks like sh*t?" Or any of the gamecube games? Seriously, it's rather ridiculous that after so long we finally get a new Star Fox with improved gameplay, and all the people who begged for it for so long are ranting about the graphics....yeesh.

Besides the game looks very good & they're clearly improving it before release.

I'm pretty excited for Triforce, Yokai Watch, Stella Glow, Legend of Legacy, Steamworld Heist, & Super Mystery Dungeon but now my most anticipated 3DS game by far (although not confirmed for the US yet but come on) is Shin Megami Tensei IV Final. I'm soooo excited for that!

It's just more based on Persona which is an amazing series btw. This game also will probably be rated M so you can expect some "SMT Darkness" plenty. The Persona games have that so yeah.

However I do think the female characters are a bit too sexualized perhaps.

I can't say I didn't see this coming. It's not like Nintendo to have a game as big as this have this much unexplained/unknown the same year it's supposedly releasing. It's not a big disappointment to me and it is launching on the series' 30th anniversary so that's cool.

The problem of course though is the Wii U's games drought. Nintendo needs great games and it needs them now. Yes the Wii U has plenty of great game, but there just aren't any releasing in the next few months.

Rocko52 commented on Review: Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (3DS):

I really want this game. I have Monster Hunter Tri, but I haven't put it to much use, because strangely, even if it's a great game, I tend to put a LOT more time in portable games, so I'd probably get farther in the 3DS version.
