Re: Friend Exchange - Share friend codes for Switch multiplayer matches

Rhansley64

Hey guys I finally bought my Nintendo Switch the other day (I haven't bought a game yet though, cause i'm still playing my 3DS, Wii U and PC's back catalog of games, but as soon as more must haves gets released i'll be playing my Switch more frequently then now. Here's my friend code (SW-3293-9281-7234) for those who wants to add me, by the way I already send friend requests to those who already post their codes in this forum.

Re: Super Mario Run

I don't understand why Nintendo would separate both Miitomo and Super Mario Run friends list, eventually it's gonna be really annoying adding people to each app :/

Anyway for those who wants to add me here's my friend code: 4689-5106-2538

Re: Do gamers underestimate the impact of a quickly replaced console that hasnt fully satisfied customers?

Rhansley64

As far as I know Nintendo releasing the NX in March 2017 is fully justified. Consider this Microsoft replaced the OG Xbox with the 360 in 4 years + 1 week, Sony discontinued the Vita in 4 years + 2 Months ish after it launched in the Netherlands and Nintendo launched the DS 3 and a half years after GBA, though GBA itself stayed on the market till 2008 and now Nintendo wants to replace Wii U after 4 years + 4 months after it launched. To me they did everything humanly possible (marketing wise after luanched obviously we never got a Pokemon Snap U) to somehow turn it around, but sadly unlike the 3DS after 2015 the writing was on the wall Wii U was far to weak to keep up with the competition so it's successor had to be released much sooner then expected but at the very least they kept it long enough for Sony and Microsoft to either released a stop-gap versions of PS4 and XB1 a.k.a NEO/Scorpio or a completely new Gen with the Neo and the Scorpio to compete with the NX.

Re: List of Early Known NX Games Compilation

Rhansley64

For those who wants BC (Backwards Compatible) you guys need to understand that PowerPC (The architecture of The Gamecube, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and Wii U) is no longer "modern" and it's no longer used by most developers. These days they prefer X86 or even ARM architecture as the new standard. So for Nintendo they have no choice but to cut their PowerPC console legacy and make what the industry consider the newest standard. Maybe in a few years they can make a Wii U emulator built in the NX like what Microsoft did with XB1 to play Xbox 360 games. But for now they have to get as many software makers as possible onboard with their newest console otherwise expect another Wii U hardware sale disaster.

Re: Do you think it would be better for Nintendo to reveal the NX before E3 or at E3?

Rhansley64

If I were Nintendo I would take the PS4 approach: announced it at a private event or in Nintendo's case at a Nintendo Direct (February or March as long as it's in Q1) while holding back the controller or console or both from the public til E3. Simply acknowledge it, talk about it and showcase the specs and that's it. Then at E3 reveal the whole thing, showcase games and tell us when it's available on the market (or at least tell us if it's Q4 2016 or Q1 2017 something like that) and then in a Fall Nintendo direct reveal the launch line up and pricing.

Re: I have questions for Wii U owners. Please help; I'm about to buy a Wii U.

Rhansley64

Can I hookup 8 Gamecube controllers to the Wii U for Smash Bros. Wii U?

Yes, but with 2 Gamecube to Wii U USB adapters which are sold separately.

Can I play Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8, and Hyrule Warriors with the Gamecube controller?

No with the official Gamecube to Wii U adapter. Yes (only with Super Mario 3D World and Mario Kart 8, Hyrule Warriors does not support the Wii Classic Controller option) with the 3rd party Mayflash (Reason being Mayflash Gamecube adapter attached your Gamecube Controller to the Wii Remote instead of directly into the console which in terms will let the system thinks your using a Wii Classic Controller).

Now, my biggest question is... Are Gamecube games available for purchase on the Wii U's virtual console? I really want to play my old favorites like Super Mario Sunshine, Mario Kart Double Dash, etc.

No there aren't any ports, but they did remake The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker in HD.

If not, does Nintendo have plans to do so? The Gamecube has some all-time-great games — first-party, Nintendo-only games.

A few Nintendo employees did originally stated that their could be a Gamecube Virtual Console section in the future, the problem is there were never any conclusive answer.

Also, I feel like if the Wii U doesn't have what I want then I'm gonna have to ask myself, "Is it worth it getting a Wii U just for the new Smash Bros.?" I sold my Super Nintendo, N64, and Gamecube... and all my games. I know the Wii U's hardware can emulate GC games; I saw a YouTube video of Double Dash running in full HD 1080p on the Wii U.

Depends what you like. I mean for me the reason why it was a "must have" system was because of Pikmin 3. However other unique titles like The Wonderfull 101, Nintendo Land, Captain Toads: Treasure tracker, Bayonetta 2, Lego City Undercover, NES REMIX, Pushmo World / Pullblox World kept me a happy gamer even after my satisfaction with Pikmin 3.

Because of Nintendo's PowerPC Architecture design in all of Nintendo's disc format consoles it's possible for retail GC games to still be accessible, but because of cost and originally not having the adapter Nintendo removed the compatibility. However modding the console did provide the option again. (Just to be clear modding does go against the Wii U eShop terms of agreement)

On a side note Nintendo did re-released some NES, SNES and GBA games on the Wii U eshop and N64, Sega Master System, Sega Genesis / Sega Mega Drive, NEC Turbo Grafx 16, SNK Neo Geo and Virtual Console Arcade can still be access via Wii U's Wii Mode Wii Shop Channel, however those non eShop games are only Wii digital ports and not optimized for Wii U like the ones on the Nintendo Wii U eShop.

Re: RUMOR: nintendo ReUmagined range

Rhansley64

Honestly it's not that far fetched I mean on the Wii we did get the "New Play Control" series which was Gamecube games turn into Wii games. I'm hoping if it's real that is they at least offered discount price to those who bought the N64 version on Wii VC. Plus the timing matched the time when the "New Play Control" series was introduced.

I personally like the idea of seeing Crossover Race tracks in Mario Kart i mean this could be a sign that Nintendo might turn Mario Kart into a crossover Kart racing in a way like Super Smash Bros.

...Be kinda stupid seeing Link or Samus driving a Kart....but at the same time....yeah. xD

Actually i was referring to the stages not character so for example i would like to see maybe a race track in Hyrule fields with only Mario (universe) characters.

Actually no since the ad campaign creates in my opinion a level of hate more towards the PSP then ever before besides that Seth Green in DS advertisement clearly blows this nonsense away.

I personally think Navi doesn't deserve the level of hate, i mean sure her voice does get to you from time to time but she still helpfull on advise. Anyway for me Slippy takes this award he's useless in every way.
