@Tsurii897 its because you need the figurines that its not a problem give the other version free.
This is aimed at current Wii owners that might upgrade later. They wouldn't buy the other version anyway, so its a gift that wont hurt them and might please buyers. Besides what I said above.

Perhaps to grab sales of those in doubt of buying Wii U (as they might wait and end not buying the game).
Other possibility is amiibo. Supposing it makes a huge success and current Wii owners upgrades, Activision will enter the wave too, but having to buy the same game again (to use NFC) might turn people off, so garanteeing they will have the game might be a good strategy to not lose ground to other figurine franchises.

@unrandomsam Those things means they are amateurs and have no taste or were too lazy, and thats all we have about them. They might end making a good game, sure, but for me expect they will or to be excited about the game, they will have to gain my trust first.

If I say now "I'm done with yearly COD. I gonna make a SOOO much better shooter on Wii U", I might actually end doing it, but would you care till you have anything supporting I really have the ability to do it?

@MAB That Mario's sprite still is professional and, under the hardware limitations, it looks good.

OTOH, Even if all AE had was the Microsoft Word they used and didn't have experience with it, there's still way better teasers they could do if they spend a few hours trying to improve. There's no excuse to it be so bad. God, pure text would be absolutely better.

@MAB @Tsurii897
I was going to give AE the benefit of the doubt, but I lost any trust (actually gained negative trust) after seeing the feb13th post on their blog (http://www.aegames.net). Seriously, I know 7 years old kids who could do a less amateur job than that. To make it worse the '3rd party conspiracy' post and naming it after EA...
I will give them the credits for the idea and the name of the game, but they are way more close to Angry Fanboys than Angry Birds.

RennanNT commented on Nintendo Looking To "Harvest" 3DS Success To A...:

@ikki5 Don't get me wrong, I'm fully aware of all the promises they didn't met. But all we can get from an investor report are plans for the future and in the paper they are taking the right direction. To put an example, Nintendo fans should be pleased Nintendo acknowledged the drought and said they would do something about it, what they shouldn't be pleased at is Nintendo not fulfilling it at all - see the difference?

And, at the very least, this time isn't completely empty promises, since they are actually putting effort in bringing momentum to the Wii U instead of trying to harvest now (bundle, free game, SSB tournament and its seems they will advertise it for once).

@Ichiban Wii U owners should be pleased with what was said. It would be very worrying if they were "After game X arrive Wii U will sell loads by itself, the 3rd party will join in and we will be crowed" like last year.
They have to aim break even and build momentum this year (perhaps next year too) and only then harvest on Wii U. Had they decided to harvest now, they would get some small profit with MK+SSB+LoZU and then Wii U dies afterwards. And don't forget, to create momentum they have to make great deals (like the free game with MK) and bring plenty games.

@memoryman3 Wii Sports sold 80 millions because it was bundled with Wii, not because it was the only thing people wanted to play.

Just look at the link below, before talking such non-sense. Nintendo has 20+ games among the top 40 best-selling games, 7 of them were on Wii and 6 on DS - and I'm NOT counting some multi-plats like COD.. Even GTA V has yet to reach MK Wii in sales.

@DimetriWarrior
1) No. Delaying once again would reduce their sales a lot.
2) Yes. But they still are losing much less sales than delaying everything. Most Wii U owner hyped by this have another console anyway.
3) PS3+360's install base >>>>>>>>> WiiU+PS4+XB1's
4) Ubi is a business, sales come first.
5) You're kidding right? 3rd party on Wii U has been "indie", "delayed port" or "nothing" for a year now, save rare exception. They have plenty experience to know what will happen, and we too..

@MrGawain OBJECTION!!!
Oldbag would only be acceptable if she is the murder (it would be the most satisfactory guilty sentence ever).

And the problem with AA4 was a poor choice, instead of just changing the MC. Apollo felt more like a junior version of Phoenix. And putting Wright there, principally with that different personality, just settled Apollo as an 'sidekick' instead of MC.

@rjejr The covers are not part of the original bundle. Amazon is just selling a kit with accessories besides the bundle, and the cover was originally advertised with an white gamepad (its likely they will add new photos later, unless it doesn't look as good on a black one).

@LetsGoRetro Scroll at the begining and click on home. Do NOT click on NintendoLife logo, you will be redirected to Wii news only (because this is a Wii article), if you do that.
Also, take notice the site has 2-3 featured news always on top, which may not be the most recent news.
If its not neither, I don't know what is happening with you..

RennanNT commented on Video: What Could The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward...:

@Caryslan About the last paragraph:
Fair enough, but to me every Zelda game make some steps back and some steps forward. TP biggest step back, for example, was wanting to be so much an 'better OoT'. The most awesome thing in Zelda to me is the ever-changing game where they let-go things even if it was great, and its the only series with I could do a marathon with more than 3 games (and think I could make the entire series if I keep alternating art-styles and gameplay, with perhaps Zelda 2 as exception - side-scrollers simply aren't my thing).

RennanNT

RennanNT commented on Video: What Could The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward...:

@Caryslan I wasn't saying everyone follow the cycle. There's not a single game that will be loved by everyone. It just that there's SOME fans who look at things with nostalgia glasses, making everything new "not as good as in the old times" until these games become from old times themselves, and these fans are pretty vocal, so you get a hate wave that simply disappear after a few years.

RennanNT commented on Video: What Could The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward...:

@ikki5 I'm just saying that you're not interested in improved gameplay like I am, (not that you are a "graphic jerk" by any means, in case it sounded like this). As remake are basically improvements on gameplay, graphics and/or content, and additional content are rarely worth a second buy by themselves, so if gameplay improvements isn't enough, then a big gap in graphics is necessary for a second buy, right?

Things like the iron boots on OoT3D or the sailing speed on WWHD (not them alone, but several small improvements together) made them worth to buy again for me. But I understand not everybody find it worth enough...

RennanNT commented on Video: What Could The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward...:

@Interneto Zelda cycle summarized = hype for next Zelda, hate for the most recent Zelda, love for the previous ones. Some hate SS now, but later will complain how the new game should be more like SS.

@ikki5 I much rather have the same graphics with significantly improved gameplay than the contrary. Of course, I wouldn't buy a second time, if I wasn't planing on replaying it a couple time, but that goes for graphics changes too..
I understand you only is interested if theres a big gap in graphics (and don't think you're wrong), but saying that its not worth because is available on Wii U means that no remake is worthwhile since they can port nearly anything to VC.
And it does make sense, because remaking an N64 or below game in HD cost much more money, time and is way more complex than one on Wii or GC (because they have to remodel everything or won't be any better than an remake for 3DS). That's why WWHD made more sense to Nintendo than MMHD, less sales but much more gain.
And since I talked about WWHD, thats a borderline example for me. The graphics didn't change much, but they took out annoying parts, speed up slow things, made an harder mode and give an decent improvements with the gamepad. And that raised a lot the replay value. I don't have the original but even if I had and it was playable on Wii U, I would be ok in buying it.

RennanNT commented on Video: What Could The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward...:

@ikki5 Only GC and 3DS then? Everything else is or can be on the VC..

To me, if there's to be an HD remake, I hope is a game which can greatly benefit from the gamepad. Like Xenoblade, which menus would be several times better with a touch screen and with info like quest or skill tree always at hand.. I would probably buy it again even if the graphics were the same...

RennanNT commented on One Piece: Unlimited World Red Is Getting A Ne...:

@Tsuzura I don't think so, but most likely there will be local multi-player on the Wii U.

@Spanjard Bugs and fishes were a big deal on the other unlimited games, so they are most likely making it clear the core gameplay is intact..

And I think what he/she finds confusing is how can a series last so long without becoming utter cr@p, being overly repetitive or throwing ridicule things at us.. Well, at least most if not all editors and mangakas asked themselves this question, and so far none seems to have found the answer, so it is confusing.

@faint I see what you are saying, but people go off-topic, principally in a topic like this. There's not much to say about this news except praising Nintendo/Zelda over and over again, or start mini fan wars over if Nintendo is original or stuck in time.

@Legromancer Why should Nintendo go in the same direction as MS, Sony, principally at this point when they have a 6 years lead in movie-like games? Also who gonna supply the necessity for games which aren't movie-like?

Everyone going in the same direction is really bad for the consumers. Remember how stagnated was the cell industry before iPhone, for example? Everyone focused only on making it smaller...

@WiiULoveGBA They should do it on next handheld. Its probably better for them too. Few will buy a new handheld and not sell the old and others will wait until till they favorite game being released to buy.

OTOH, every big game could have an limited edition with the cover, stimulating paying full price and buying the handheld at the game launch. And lets not forget the games will be advertised for free at the same time..

If it were for the graphics only, Skyward Sword.

But rather than graphics, I would rather have Xenoblade's complex menu on the gamepad. It would speed up so much gameplay. Also, $70 for a used game is terrible, eShop would solved the problem, even with the scammers as they would have to drop the price.

But I recommend you try the demo, you get in a dungeon really quick. (you can also transfer the demo save to the real game once you buy it, so play to your heart content).

@sinalefa Either are good, but I highly recommend EOIV for newcomers, because the skill system is much more friendly, as:
1 - There's much less skills at the beginning, and the proficiency makes clear what are their speciality.
2 - At level 20 you unlock more skills, and so you are actually stimulated to reset your skill points at level 22 (you lose 2 levels by doing so) to put them at new skills, thus you are stimulated to test the different skills and understand the class/game better and do a better distribution by lv20. (In EOU, you just feel punished for doing the wrong choice at the beginning by losing 2 levels)

@Quirky Besides the 2nd stratum, there's only one other stratum floor (5th's first) with the edge-teleport. So you are almost done with it.

As for the map, I solved the problem using numbers to pair the map-teleports.
