RadioShadow commented on European Gamers Bemoan PAL Version of Super Me...:
The funny thing is, the PAL version can run in PAL60 (original frame rate) and PAL50 (optimized frame rate). If you try to run the game in 60Hz, you will just a message saying this game is only for PAL systems (something along those lines).
However, you can simply remove the frequency check from the rom and TA DA, the game runs just fine in 60Hz! There is no excuse Nintendo.

RadioShadow commented on Rayman Creator Michel Ancel "Wasn't Shocked" B...:
Like the creator says, we are getting more levels and bosses because of the delay. That's awesome news and I can't understand why people are getting upset about the delay.
As long as the Wii U version suddenly doesn't become the worse version to own, you wouldn't hear me complain.

RadioShadow commented on Disney's Planes Jetting Onto All Nintendo Plat...:
@lividd3ad: How was Cars 2 awful? It had Michael Kane in (aka Batman's servant
) and explosions, and weapons (it had a James Bond like theme). What more do you want? Don't get me wrong, there are better Pixar films like Monsters Inc, but Cars 2 wasn't terrible.
Now Planes, well it sounds like it's going to be PLAIN boring! XD Seriously know, it could be good. Who knows?

RadioShadow commented on Tails Adventure And Crystal Warriors Get Rated...:
I actually brought Crystal Warriors at the Replay Event in Manchester last year. It's a fun Turn base strategy game, a bit like Fire Emblem. Don't know if I would buy it again know.
I wasn't a big fan of Tails Adventure, but I will still buy it. Plays a bit like Castlevania and Metorid combined. At least you don't have to write down the passwords now.

Actually, I think this is one rare occasion where I actually stayed and watched the credits at the end. They were that good, pixels and all!

So let me get this striahgt, I could pay £50 to download the game or I could own a physical disc copy with box for half that price. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Batman-Arkham-City-Armored-Nintendo/dp/B00844Q6L6
The download option sounds way better. NOT. <_<

RadioShadow commented on Feature: EU Wii U Launch Day - Live!:
Working half days on Friday is great. Hopefully the Wii U (which is coming from amazon) will come in the afternoon when I'm there. Inviting a mate round and playing "New Super Mario Bros U"!
@Ristar42: On the Xbox 360, it is possible to run Mega Drive games in 50Hz on HDMI, so they should run as they do on Wii (well in 480p). I doubt they would have made any effort to fix the games that had the componet lead issue.

It always bothered me they didn't add Toddette. She would have worked and added a female player to the game.
But I can't see why they can't include peach and Daisy with different abilities like in SMB2.

See Nintendo, this feature would have been nice for the Gameboy games.
Shame Columns is a bit boring and the multiplayer isn't that great. The Game Gear sequel is suppose to be way better, so I would wait for that version.

RadioShadow commented on Review: Sonic Labyrinth (3DS eShop / Game Gear):
The sad part is users will take that "pathetic" review seriously.
First you have not mentioned the music or the graphics. The music is actually quite nice to listen to and this is one of the Game Gear games that takes advantage of the palette, which makes a nice detailed and colourful game.
THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE LEVEL DESIGN! The review mentions that it isn't challenging, well the keys are hidden quite well, especially in the later levels. It would be boring if the keys were not hidden. <_<
The controls actually work really well. This excuse for review didn't mention you hold the button to make Sonic spin into a ball and you aim which way he goes (use the arrow on the ground) and then let go. I have never felt that I didn't have control of Sonic, except when he spin dashes off (but then that could be said any of Sonic's games). I will admit that having to keep spin dashing and stopping can get a bit boring at times, but I would put that as a minor issue.
The review doesn't go much into detail on the bosses. While they are are fairly easy to beat, you have to remember this is a 8-bit game and I think they did a good enough job. Why not bash the 8-bit Mario games for having easy bosses?
To be honest, this game is an interesting idea and one of the better Game Gear games. If you are looking for a traditionally 2D Sonic game, then stay away from this. Otherwise, it's not a bad game, if you want something different for a 8-bit game.
The point I'm trying to bring is, that review needs to go into the topics I have mentioned a bit more. That is all.
EDIT: I will agree £4.50 for a Game Gear is a bit too much. But I dislike how each VC game is priced separately while the Wii VC games have a fixed price (most of the time). To me, £3 would have been a better price for the game.

RadioShadow commented on Nintendo Download: 10th May 2012 (Europe):
@Reala: Go into the Operations Manual, connect a nun-chuck to the wii remote and press A, 1 & Z at the same time. You should hear a sound. Now return to the game and it should display fine.
Well SEGA are lame for not releasing it in PAL60. Although that was to be expected. Glad I have a American Wii.

RadioShadow commented on Two More Sonic Game Gear Games Rated:
I actually like Sonic Labyrinth. It is one of my favourite Game Gear games. Sure it's not the greatest game, but I think people bash it because it's not a typical side scrolling game that Sonic is more known for. Still, I would buy it despite the review Nintendo Life give.
Now Sonic Blast, man that game is hard to find. I actually paid £15 on ebay just to get the damn cartridge. Was it worth it? Nope. The sprites looked too big, levels made no sense, music was horrible and not very fun to play. It is a shame because Knuckles was playable in this one.

Fourth, WHY USE A ****ING NUMBER NOW? WHY, WHY, WHY, WHY? It made no sense when they did that with Puyo Puyo 7 and it makes no sense with this.

RadioShadow commented on RE Mercenaries 3D Save Data Will Not Die:
@bboy2970: You can delete "Elite Beat Agents" save data. Just hold A + B + X + Y + L + R at the Nintendo iNiS screen and an option will come up about deleting the save. Funny thing is, it doesn't state this in the UK Manual. http://askville.amazon.com/bought-Elite-Beat-Agents-DS-clear-data/AnswerViewer.do?requestId=1609033
So here's the plan: Buy a copy of this game and don't open it. PROFIT!
Being serious, this is a bit of a silly move. Capcom must have programme something in the game to stop it being deleted. Once a 3DS save dumper/uploader becomes available, this won't be a problem.
Thinking about it, what happens if the save corrupts? That would most likely, just reset the save file.
