Radio_KJ commented on Virtual Boy Port of Faceball Is Getting A Phys...:
@CouchPotato The original Game Boy was in four shades of green, yet it completely thumped the Game Gear and Lynx, both of which were in colour. Having played the Virtual Boy myself, I'd say colour was the least of its problems.

Does anyone else think Protoman on the box art resembles Lord Zedd from Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers?

I actually found Ecco Jr mildly amusing when I rented it so many years ago. Maybe because I was younger...
At any rate I certainly wouldn't spend more than 50 points on it, and even that's being generous. It's one of those games that's more "toy" than "game".

Radio_KJ commented on Publishers Remain Tight-Lipped On Black Monday...:
"Black" Monday? Please tell me it was already called that and you didn't just name it "Black" Monday because a few games didn't come out as planned. So everyone got their hopes up and got burned. Oh well. Let's get on with life.
I for one still have to finish Neutopia II anyway.

Sure it wasn't as polished as some of the more prominent brands, but it was mildly amusing. I like that in my games.
But as Dude said, there are better versions of it. I'll be waiting for one of the later ones. Preferably from SNES or N64, as I cannot stand the Genesis sound chip.

Radio_KJ commented on Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards:
As much as I like this game, I'm not sure about paying the 1000 points for it. It's the sort of game you only play through once, maybe twice, then get bored of. Granted I wouldn't mind playing it again having been such a long time since I last did, but I'll instead wait for Superstar.

Radio_KJ commented on Eternity’s Child Confirmed as WiiWare:
I'm not exactly up on the technology limits, but I don't think it's feasible to run software from an SD card. Slow transfer rates or something. I say this because even a Palm handheld copies programs from the SD card to the internal memory before running. That said, what if Wii did that? Keep all the games on an SD card and instead of manually copying them back the Wii copies them as they run then removes them afterward.
Though I'd be happiest with a good 20G drive.

darkmidst: This one has fewer characters than the CD version as well as a few less fatality variants. There are also minor tweaks to the special attacks and power usage. Wikipedia has a little more depth about the differences.

Nice! This is the only gambling sim i ever really liked. The little added bits with other random characters walking by made this more interesting than any generic sim. I've been waiting for a sequel to this.
