RevolverLink commented on Yakuza 1 & 2 HD Confirmed for Wii U in Japan:
Mmm. I love me some Yakuza.
#2
RevolverLink commented on Review: Star Wars Episode I: Racer (Nintendo 64):
This game is what I played instead of F-Zero X back in the day. I managed to get pretty darn good at it too, IIRC.

RevolverLink commented on Nintendo Direct Confirmed For 17th May, Coveri...:
I'm not expecting much in the way of announcements for this ND, but it'll still be nice to get a little more info on Animal Crossing, Mario & Luigi and SMT IV.

RevolverLink commented on Edgeworth Likely to Appear in Ace Attorney: Du...:
Between Ruffles, Winston Payne's brother and Jin Yuugami, it appears as if there will be at least three prosecutors in this one.

That the way ALttP2 progresses will be significantly different from other Zeldas was the most interesting tidbit I took from that article.

I've been meaning to download Art of Balance TOUCH! for a while now, and this might be a good excuse to do just that.

I'm still using the 2GB card that came with my 3DS, but I'll probably upgrade at some point this year.

Note to self: Next time you participate in the sad act of single-player Mario Party, don't try. At all.

RevolverLink commented on Video: Ace Attorney 5 Trailer Shows Its Own Br...:
I've already started re-playing the previous games in anticipation.
I'm currently on of the very best cases in the entire series (or at least I think so, anyway) - Farewell, My Turnabout.

RevolverLink commented on Nintendo Download: 25th April 2013 (North Amer...:
I almost went with Mega Man 4 today, but I downloaded Zelda II instead. After finishing Mega Man 3 the other day, I just need a short break from the Blue Bomber.

I already have two of those games and I have Animal Crossing: New Leaf pre-ordered, so I'd obviously love for NoA to offer us a similar deal.

RevolverLink commented on Feature: Nintendo Life's Staff Favourites - Su...:
My absolute favorite Super NES game tends to change depending on my mood. The more I re-play ALttP, the higher it rises on my list of favorite Zeldas (and games) ever, but Super Mario World, Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger and Yoshi's Island are all basically dead even with it when it comes to my affections. ActRaiser is high up there for me too, even with my hatred of end-of-game boss gauntlets, and I loved (granted, it was the DS remake) Dragon Quest V too.
OH, and Umihara Kawase is great too!

RevolverLink commented on Review: Kirby's Adventure (Wii U eShop / NES):
There've been many great Kirby games over the years, but Kirby's Adventure still stands as my favorite. I still replay it every 3 years or so.

Once I am appointed to my position as mayor of Squaresville, my first act will be to commission the construction of the Reset Surveillance Center.
Solely for the purpose of trolling one Mr. Resetti.

RevolverLink commented on First Impressions: The Legend of Zelda 3DS:
@JonWahlgren - I have a small question: during your time with the game, did you notice if Link's sword can still slice through walls?

RevolverLink commented on Nintendo Direct: Watch The North American 3DS ...:
A new top-down Zelda?
Bravely Default?
All three Guild02 games?
A new Yoshi's Island?
Release dates for Pikmin 3, Mario & Luigi and the Oracle series ports?
EarthBound?
Professor Layton?
Nintendo just has no regard for how little money I have.
#18
RevolverLink commented on Bravely Default: Flying Fairy is Confirmed for...:
I'm slightly annoyed that Square-Enix even needed Nintendo to pick up the publishing slack for all of us to get this game, but at least it's finally coming.
#19
RevolverLink commented on New Legend Of Zelda Title Confirmed For Ninten...:
Though I don't think they're bad games at all, I have been somewhat let-down by the last three portable entries in the series, so I have high hopes that this will something of a return to form for top-down Zelda.
#20
RevolverLink commented on Review: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: So...:
I hope physical copies won't be too hard to find a few months from now; I would buy this immediately if my 3DS backlog wasn't so bloated right now. It's all I can do just to put in an hour or two into Etrian Odyssey IV every day, I just don't think I have the gaming time atm to give Soul Hackers all the tender love it needs.
#21
RevolverLink commented on Review: Viewtiful Joe (GameCube):
Viewtiful Joe was really fun despite how much I sucked at it (I never could clear the Magnificent 5 episode), and it's still one of the more visually arresting games I've ever seen.
I traded in my copy several years ago, and it didn't take me long to regret that decision. Someday I'll get around to buying it again.
#22
RevolverLink commented on Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This...:
A little bit of Ace Attorney 2 and Wario Land: SML3, some Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon and a lot of Etrian Odyssey IV.

RevolverLink commented on Talking Point: Nintendo Should Make EA Co-oper...:
Getting EA to go all in for their cause would probably be better for Nintendo's shareholders, but as a gamer, I'd (much) rather see Nintendo work hard to encourage more indie developers to support the Wii U.
#27
RevolverLink commented on Rumour: Bravely Default: Flying Fairy Is Takin...:
The list of Japan-only 3DS titles I desperately want always seems to growing, so it's great to cross off Project X Zone and now (hopefully) Bravely Default from that list.
Now, back to hoping for localization news on Rocket Slime 3, Dragon Quest VII, Terry's Wonderland 3D, Time Travelers, Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, Monsters Come Out on Friday, Sayonara Umihara Kawase and Fantasy Life.
#28
RevolverLink commented on XSEED Details Game Localisation Costs:
For Little King's Story and Retro Game Challenge alone, I hope XSEED sticks around for a very long time. That they've published numerous other worthwhile games too almost seems like gravy.

I no longer care that this was a cruel trick, I now want Nintendo to make this a reality.

RevolverLink commented on Feature: Nintendo Life's Staff Favourites - NES:
That list is in dire need of some Bionic Commando and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game, but you did get #1 right, at least.
#34
RevolverLink commented on Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This...:
I'll be putting some time into both Aquaria and Fire Emblem: Awakening, as well as replaying Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.

Don't you do it Capcom, don't you dare make me fall in love with you again.
#36
RevolverLink commented on Fantasy Life Trademark Emerges in Europe:
I'm really hoping that this game, Time Travelers, Monsters Come Out on Friday and, of course, Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney will all eventually make their way to North America.
Because I love me some Level-5 (and because all of those games appeal to my gaming sensibilities anyway).

RevolverLink commented on Round Table: Let's Talk About the F-Zero Franc...:
F-Zero is just one of those series I've never been able to get into, no matter how much I've tried. I respect the craftsmanship, the visual aesthetics and the love fans have for it, but the speed is just too much for me. GX actually gave me motion sickness on more than one occasion.

RevolverLink commented on Shaun Of The Dead Star Seems Pleased With Zomb...:
Given his personality and his very geek-savvy body of work (of which I'm an admitted fan), it doesn't surprise me at all that Simon Pegg would enjoy that reference.
Also, I can't wait for The World's End!

RevolverLink commented on Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This...:
Mostly Fire Emblem: Awakening (everybody's starting to hit Lv. 20, so I'm gonna have to buy more Master Seals soon), but I might sneak in some Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars - Director's Cut too.

Ace Attorney is one of the few series where I'd be all over a compilation, despite already having each game in the series (AAI2 excepted).
#45
RevolverLink commented on Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked...:
I feel a little guilty for having both of the Devil Survivor games just sitting barely played (still in the plastic wrap, in 2's case) on my shelf while gamers in Europe haven't even had the chance to play them yet.
#46
RevolverLink commented on More Ace Attorney 5 Information Is On The Way:
I will cry salty, salty tears if Capcom changes their minds about bringing AA5 over.

RevolverLink commented on Feature: The Big Valentines Nintendo Direct Su...:
I wasn't blown away by this Nintendo Direct, but there were still a few bits of news that made me happy. The big one for me was Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, and the announcements of Animal Crossing's release date (finally) and River King & Harvest Moon coming to the eShop were both nice too.
#48
RevolverLink commented on 3DS eShop Sale is Underway in North America an...:
I might get Sakura Samurai when it goes on sale, if I feel like I have the time to actually play it.

RevolverLink commented on Castlevania Producer Would Love To Work With N...:
While I'd like to see another 3rd-party developer put their spin on Zelda (Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons are two of my very favorite games in the series and The Minish Cap was good for what it was), I'm not sure MercurySteam is the one I'd like to see have a stab at it. I just haven't been impressed with their body of work so far.

Instead of dwelling on my lack of a significant other on Valentine's Day, I can spend my morning hoping for news of a Rocket Slime 3 localization.
