Exactly. Hey guys buy our game also if you eat things that aren't meat you're Hitler kthxbai.
#2
quakster commented on Controversial Super Meat Boy Advertisement:
Well, technically, meat doesn't have anything you can't get from somewhere else, so it is entirely possible to live healthily without eating a single bite of meat.
#3
quakster commented on Controversial Super Meat Boy Advertisement:
Yeah. But they better not have skipped quality control, because if that's the case, they won't be getting their 5000 or whatever sales.

quakster commented on Controversial Super Meat Boy Advertisement:
Yeah, I really don't have any qualms about shock humor, but this is just plain bad. I'm gonna have to skip this game, I guess. /cue 10 comments about why I'm wrong

quakster commented on Controversial Super Meat Boy Advertisement:
I've always been fond of the "compare potential customers to Hitler"-method of selling things.

quakster commented on Controversial Super Meat Boy Advertisement:
So that ad is telling me to eat the main character of the game?

quakster commented on Review: Adventure Island: The Beginning (WiiWare):
Heh. I dethroned you again, Drake. Now it's your move.
#8
quakster commented on Review: Adventure Island: The Beginning (WiiWare):
The game isn't that easy, unless you're comparing it to the older ones. I have to admit, the unlockables do make the game a lot easier, but they're there for you to get if you can't proceed or want to try making high scores. (Quack on the leaderboard.)

quakster commented on Adventure Island: The Beginning:
This is a really good game. I've never died to the first boss. The latter bosses and their one-hit kills, however.
#10
quakster commented on Nintendo Download: Adventure Island, Crystal D...:
The lives system is for the bosses.
The spear goes through enemies and the fourth hammer is the most powerful weapon in the game.
#11
quakster commented on Nintendo Download: Adventure Island, Crystal D...:
Adventure Island owns so much that I started it all over from the beginning again.
Well, okay, I restarted it because I misspelled my name in one of the minigames and apparently you can't change your name after you've chosen it so it was bugging me and I had to delete my save but who cares, the game is fun.
#12
quakster commented on Nintendo Download: Adventure Island, Crystal D...:
In Adventure Island, for 12 golden fruits you can unlock a mode where the second controller can be used to control Bomberman and drop bombs on Higgins, I kid you not.
#13
quakster commented on Nintendo Download: Adventure Island, Crystal D...:
Adventure Island owns, 8/10. This has been another helpful review from your friendly neighborhood q-man, hope you liked it.

quakster commented on Europe Gets Adventure Island: The Beginning On...:
@Adam: I'm a member on every existing forum on every imaginable plane. But enough about me, let's talk about the game.
It doesn't have dinosaurs, therefore it's automatically inferior to the NES games.
#15
quakster commented on Europe Gets Adventure Island: The Beginning On...:
@warioswoods: The appeal of the games is in the gameplay, and if you don't like it, well, different strokes for different folks.
The graphics in this one look pretty bad because the size limit on WiiWare is really strict.

quakster commented on Game Center CX Looks at the Virtual Console:
Arino owns and I say we should just skip the whole "video games as art"-debate and admit that the act of playing them is art, regardless of whether the games themselves have any artistic merit or not.

Too bad it doesn't seem to have the dinosaurs.

Shovelware sells better than many of the good games, this is the main problem.

quakster commented on Review: Bubble Bobble Plus! (WiiWare):
@Airola. Whoa. You're right. It just looked like an egg.
The fairies can be seen on the secret levels.
#21
quakster commented on Review: Bubble Bobble Plus! (WiiWare):
To break the hourglass/mirror thingy, zap it with lightning.
To break the egg, drop some water on it.
As far as I know, those two are the only items in Arrange mode.
#22
quakster commented on Review: Bubble Bobble Plus! (WiiWare):
It's not really getting stuck since the ghost will come and kill you but yeah, they should've done something about that.
@smetloos: There are helpful videos on YouTube, you should check them out.
#23
quakster commented on Review: Bubble Bobble Plus! (WiiWare):
@Adam: The NES version still has about 30 exclusive levels to that version and that version only.
#24
quakster commented on Nintendo Download: Bubble Bobble Plus! & More ...:
It's Bubble Bobble. You're supposed to get as far as you can on a single playthrough. Thanks to having played other versions of the game, I breezed through it in no time.
Now, to do the same with a limited number of credits...
#25
quakster commented on Nintendo Download: Bubble Bobble Plus! & More ...:
I did and I've played it for like six hours.
#26
quakster commented on Nintendo Download: Bubble Bobble Plus! & More ...:
@indenmark: Bubble Bobble Plus is based on the arcade version, so the levels, colors and fruits differ from the NES version, but in every other conceivable way it's definitely better.
#27
quakster commented on Nintendo Download: Bubble Bobble Plus! & More ...:
The levels in Bubble Bobble Plus go like this:
100 Arcade levels (with Super versions) 1-2 Players
100 Arrange levels (with Super versions) 1-4 Players
100 Expert Levels (50 per pack, 200 points a pop) 1-4 Players
There are four difficulties to choose from and you can play the game normally (unlimited continues), or play Ranking (limited number of continues).

quakster commented on Review: The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64):
The Owl statues kinda work the same way as suspending would, so it's not that big of a deal.
#29
quakster commented on Review: The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64):
Whoever hates this game because of the time limit is a complete tool, slowing down the time stretches the time limit to 2-3 hours, and the only thing you lose by resetting the time is, like the review mentioned, stacked items.

quakster commented on USA VC Update: Super Punch-Out!!:
It's not really a confirmation of anything, considering that whoever wrote the press release has absolutely nothing to do with the people who made the game.
#31
quakster commented on Review: Star Force (Arcade):
If I'd have to take a guess why it's called Starforce instead of Megaforce, I'd say that they probably dumped a Starforce machine into a rom, instead of a Megaforce one.

The original Final Fantasy announced for VC.
Triplewoot.

Woot, it supports up to 32 Gigs!
Doublewoot, Starforce and Gaplus!

quakster commented on EU WiiWare Update: Onslaught and Pop-Up Pirate!:
So far, Onslaught is the only WiiWare game where you can slaughter 200 cybernetic insects in a matter seconds just by holding down B.
Thumbs up.
#35
quakster commented on EU WiiWare Update: Onslaught and Pop-Up Pirate!:
Onslaught is pretty decent. The online is pretty much the exact same as in all of Hudson's WiiWare games.

quakster commented on Wonder Boy in Monster Land:
The C64 version of this thing kicked my arse. Time to pay back.
#37
quakster commented on Hudson Interview - Alien Crush Returns:
You should've asked if there's any way to change your name without deleting the scores.
That's kinda ruining the game for me.

quakster commented on Only Geeks And Otaku Want Extra Storage On The...:
The best part of this is that the six already released WiiWare games alone use the whole damn memory.
Even if you only buy one game a month, you'll run out of space in six.
#42
quakster commented on North American WiiWare Top 10:
LostWInds is okay but it plays EXACTLY like Okami, whereas TV Show King is as stupid as a game about knowing things can be.
Now, which one would you get if you want to play a fun game with friends?
#43
quakster commented on Japanese WiiWare Goes Bubble Wrap Crazy:
I dunno, with games like WarioWare up the wazoo this hardly seems like the most bonkerest game around.

It was Overboard all along.
This can only be a good thing.

@Demon212: Looks exactly like Overboard!/Shipwreckers for the original Playstation, heck, it even has the same weapons!
