Nintendo is capable of making classic games, period. And every system had one (or two or three...). Games is key: You'd buy a PS3 for GTA and Red Dead Redemption, and you'd buy a Wii U for...2D Mario...think not. Nintendo has to get their first party software off the ground. And it better be awesome. Than I'll buy.

There has been a lot of study regarding this, and i believe there was never a direct link discovered between violent games and 'real life'' agression. Nonetheless, i don't approve with too much realistic violence in videogames either. Personally I would almost say: it has to have some influence.

I think Nintendo itself is to blame if people decide NOT to buy at launchday. They left a lot of their customers with a " i wish i waited another month before i'd spend my money"-feeling: just look at the long range of DS system upgrades. Once you got one, it's just waiting till something better hits the stores. You'll always have the next best thing. The Gamecube just changed color...and that's fine.

Ok, i see i'm not the only one who thinks of this game as one of the marvels in the mario series.

Honestly, i fell in love with this game only after 20/30 stars or so when i really started using Fludd to make the most wonderful moves, like hovering, rocketing, sliding and what not. Besides that, a few of the stars in Sunshine were insanely hard and frustrating, but...that's Mario. To hate him is to love him, sort of....Finally getting those stars could make a day. The last two Mario releases: 3dland and New SMB 2 (or something) are well designed but too easy, as in unrewarding. Finishing a Mario game in a day would never have come to Nintendo's mind 10 years ago. Nowadays unfortunately it has.

They haven't given me one reason to buy a Wii U on launch day. After one year there will be better software, a 100 euro cheaper pricetag, better games, and probably a hardware update. The games i've seen so far don't appeal to me enough.

Wonder if the old wiimote and nunchuck will work any better on the Wii U, cause it seems we'll be using those for a while...didn't fall in love with the new oversized controller...and please...please no HD remakes of old classics...

My number one would be SM64. On every replay i go like: oh yeah, this game is soooooooo good whoaaa.

Next would be SUNSHINE. Although not too much credit from the reviewers when it came out it's a highlight in my gaming life. I remember looking into the sun while spraying water into the air, and thinking: whoaaaa

Too bad there aren't anymore posts here...About fi: when i was 18 years old i didn't care about being stuck in one place for a month without knowing where to go, and still trying to find out. Ten years later i'm happy that after some toying around i can ask for some help, and get on with it. The hint system is very cleverly done i must say. So imo it makes the game suitable for different players with different ages.

Just played around 4 to 5 hours. I enjoyed it so far, but wasn't really impressed by the controls or visuals. The game looks and plays fine for sure, but not more than that imo.

I was a bit dissapointed that after all this new zelda talk the first enemy i encountered was one of those purple Link eating flowers. And WHY can't i skip text anymore? And WHY are these texts so small sometimes?

Still i recommend it.

Those were the days: Windwaker! Sunshine! Metroid! Starfox! 1080! A deep sigh...bought it second hand for 20 euro's 9 years ago. The wii is a fine machine, but the gamecube was my first love.

Reece could be right about this game, but i don't agree with Reece that Wii Sports Resort is the definitive sports pack: just remember how your sword always gets out of control, or your peddle goes the other way (and let's not get into biking...). So, speaking of bad controls...WSR has a few of that as well. I wonder how this will turn out in Skyward Sword.

When it comes down to SS being a 'classic' Zelda, graphics won't have much to do with it, imo. We all praise Majora's Mask and OoT. So why bother now? The only thing that matters to me is if Nintendo is capable to reinvent the game, and come up with enoug new hooks (not grapping hooks of course). From what i've seen so far, the are.

Pete_Stooge commented on GoldenEye 007:

Played the game just until the for last level. Although the game makes a strong start, it's nearing perfection towards the end (in NL terms: it starts as an eight, and ends as a definite nine plus). It is very solid made: the game has visuals and controls you stopped hoping to see on your Wii. About the story, i can't figure it out (it has something to do with evil Russians), but the game contains entertaining point of view scenes to go from one level to another. Gameplay wise, it sometimes literally takes your breath away, especially when you are urged to escape from a bunker or complex. Happily for the game, this happens a lot (you'll probably end up firing from the hip while screaming at your screen) The AI is very well executed, except for 'enemy professors' that are quasi interesting standing around by some sort of machine or computer just for your fun to sneak up on them (and shoot them in the back of their heads, that is). I'm not getting into the multiplayer mode, but this is what makes the game last for a long time. So if you find this game anywhere at a reasonable price, don't hesitate to buy. You'll like it.

Hi NL, the first time i played it around on GC i thought it was a 8, because i didn't like the view of the darker parts. Replaying it 3 years later on Wii i feel this an underrated game. It's almost as good as OoT (or Windwaker, which i enjoyed a lot). The scenery in TP is gorgeous. I'd give it a 10. Can't wait for Skyward Sword.
