Super Smash Bros needs to up their DLC game. $3.99 for one character? Really? I'd have at least appreciated 2 new stages and a new background (with new blocks) for the Stage Builder. It's not like SSB stages are as complex as MK tracks. They're practically 2D with a moving background. I mean, I payed $13 for SIXTEEN Mario Kart tracks, 6 new characters, abdand and a bunch of karts + free 200cc. $3.99 for one character doesn't really fit into Nintendo's DLC policy so far.

A proper Battle Mode should be free, I wouldn't mind if even 4/5 courses. That's enough in my opinion, so long as we get actual arena stages. Maybe 2 new Battle courses and 3 classics?

As for DLC, I think there's a lot potential to bring in some new ideas. I wouldn't mind a new mode where you can also move vertically in submarines underwater or spacecraft/airplanes. I know that sounds absurd, but they've already introduced underwater driving as well as gliding, so why not take it a step further? Mario Kart 8 x Pokemon sounds great.

I think bare minimum they should make 2 more IP crossovers, bringing the total to 16 cups. Use those DLC packs to add a few more characters and crossover stages, and maybe 3/4 classic remakes per pack.

Basically what I'm saying is this could be the Mario Kart to beat every mario kart before it, if they take right advantage of that.

@JaxonH You took the words right out of my mouth, and arguably elaborated a lot more than I would have. The Wii U is a great piece of hardware, sadly though, it was and has been very lacking in its game library, which is in my opinion the biggest reason for its initial failure in the market.

But with new major titles coming to store shelves soon, such as Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros. Wii U, Super Mario 3D World, The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker HD, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, and possibly some new Metroid (HOPEFULLY) and Zelda games, along with the recently released Pikmin 3 and many 3rd part releases coming soon to the Wiiu, I believe it will prosper more than you would think by the end of 2014.

SM3DLand was a fun game. SM3DWorld seems like it'll be fun as well. But to be honest, the underwhelming level design and the linearity of the gameplay has made these games, extremely forgettable. Hell, I can still remember how it felt to control mario in SMSunshine, which I haven't played in 6 years, and yet I can barely remember a single level of SM3DLand which I played last year.

Come on Nintendo, change is only good when it's been done right. 3DLand was nothing more than a blimp on the radar, a tiny figment of the past, a game we played to pass the time. Ok maybe using 'we' here is wrong. At least that's how I felt.

64/Sunshine/Galaxy ftw.
