Good point. I loved that game; very underrated.

Wii U might be the cheapest system when released, hopefully they follow that pattern. I can't really see technology of consoles going beyond what current HDTVs has to offer in terms of graphics and refresh rates. Sooner or later though, it is inevitable to have games that are very realistic, at least it's what we can assume what the future of gaming would be like. People may disagree, but gaming would seem dull once everything becomes too realistic.

@ #80, very true, I bet that's in everyone's mind right now that had the red ring happen to them. It was unfortunate but somehow I felt they embraced the idea for awhile because they're able to utilized great customer service to keep consumers. I'm not saying they prefer it that way, just that it somehow worked for them. They better not pull that stunt again because people will be patient and wait.

Moral from history is: Smarter ideas and marketing prevails; enhanced power without third party support falls short. Ex. PS One did better than N64, PS2 outsold GC and XBOX, Wii > XBOX 360 > PS3, DS over PSP, 3DS so far > Vita......what does history often conclude? It is what it is.

Like what #2 said "Dead Space"; maybe Battlefield also.

I've never played any Rayman games yet, though this one looks promising. I think I'll pick this game up, I love platformers. I think having this on the go sounds a lot better than having it on the console version, plus it's cheaper.

I agree with all the Nos'. If Ninty doesn't ever come out with their own system, maybe it's okay. But they are too strong to start loaning out their franchise while they still have their own hardware. They do not want to do battle with themselves, as in the case of sales with 3ds v.s. all of the Ds. I think it's a bad idea considering most phone/tablet game are for casual gamers, they shouldn't start lowering their standards unless they become like Sega.

To those that thinks 3d is a gimmick, well it's only a gimmick if it's not sold well right? What about HD graphics? Looks better but does nothing to gameplay and no one's complaining that it's a gimmick. They said the Wii's motion controllers were a gimmick but Xbox and Sony adopted the idea. It's all business when ideas sell well. But to me, nothing is a gimmick if it does what it's intended to do, innovate and revolutionize are the only ways technology and ideas can improve. @ 124. @pfontaine2 - Welcome to gaming, we're never too old to play games. You bought Zelda and haven't played it yet? Man lucky you, you're gonna enter an unforgettable experience and environment. Let's hope we get more games with great story and gameplay.

@TrueWiiMaster - I actually think it was the right moment to pull off this price cut considering sales were not getting any better. It also put a lock on the Vita's news of their $250-$300 range, the momentum will soon follow as games would start dropping by holidays but now more individuals would own one, meaning more purchase of software. If things go as planned by 1st quarter 2012, friends and other 3ds owners would compete in games while Vita would be in a hot seat with $250+. But good luck to them too as long as it's good quality games. (maybe it'll appeal and open the minds of phone gamers some more)

@lzbirdboy- That's a really good reason, it's a tough fight when you're battling yourself.
@EdEN-Analyst only goes with whatever article gives them great attention. Most are biased in my opinion and write things things that are one-sided without doing great amount of research. They don't care for gaming but for their pockets.

@stevenshearing-You have a point though when it comes to weighing in on the money. I personally would also prefer pre-owned games, but there are games that are worth supporting if they are worth it, like musicians, you wouldn't want to see a great artist fall to .99 cent downloads. Also I don't believe the are many app games taht have moments worth savoring. Fun, yeah , I'll give you quick addictive 30 mins. or so. But do you remember the fun of Goldeneye 007 fun with friends? You are right in terms of opinion of choices, these games should be put in different categories.

You just have to wonder, do developers even take to time to play these games? Or how many hands does the product go through before retailers, who authorizes it? In the long run, quick money getting schemes from bad software are reasons why people get off the bandwagon. Seems to me they need to hire actual gamers to test it before shipping.

I kind of have this fear that 3rd party developers will find a way to screw this up. Nintendo will HAVE to hold their hands this time, step by step to avoid confusion in the use of their technology. That is the reason why they mention 3ds does not only focus on 3d games, while there are other features to utilize. It's kind of hard to have an idea where many wouldn't grasp.
