Looking awesome! It's great to see that they're adding so many characters, enemies and stages from the different Zelda games. This is what I was hoping for from the beginning. How could any Zelda fan not be excited?

If I had time I'd like to replay Kid Icarus Uprising and Fire Emblem Awakening. Lately though I've been busting out Brawl and Mario Kart 8 for a few rounds.
@ Smooty I reckon thats normal. I also play whatever, whenever.

@Deathgaze Yeah the PSX has a great library of games, there's no denying that. Look people, I didn't mean to open a can of worms here, especially considering this topics about EA. I'm a SEGA fan, cant deny it, but their gone. Better get in line and buy a PS4 like every one else.

@8BitSamurai Your right about the Saturns launch, it was disasterous and it came at a time when the industry was beginning to transition from 2D to 3D games. Unfortunately, the Saturn wasn't built to develop 3D games like the Playstation was.
Still, if SEGA had sold more Saturns they would have gotten better developer support. It just sucks that since SEGA no longer make consoles many of their IP's have just dissapeared. If they were still making consoles gamers could still enjoy their great games.
And yeah, its library beats the N64's.

@8BitSamurai Actually, it was gamers that killed SEGA by voting with their wallets. Long time loyal SEGA and Nintendo gamers suddenly jumed shipped to Sony, a company that had little to no history or experience in the video game industry, with 1st party offerings that were not as good as SEGA's or Nintendo's IP's. it is true that PSX eventually amassed a vast library of quality games, but both Namco's Tekken and RR were instrumental in playstations success in its launch period. As for FMV sequences, lots of gamers back then were wooed by these non playable videos that were not representative of the actual in game graphics, much the same way gamers these days get hyped over videos of new release games that don't show any in game footage.
SEGA did make some mistakes, the Saturn was difficult to program for compared to Playstation, which appealed to many developers and their surprise launch confused a lot of people. Personally, I didn't find those reason enough to jump ship like many gamers did. To me, that would be like not buying a Playstation 4 because Samsung were about to bring out a new console with only a couple of good 3rd party games.
As good as Playstation is, and I'm not saying that their not good, IMHO I think the Video Game industry lost out by jumping ship from SEGA to Sony.

@Deathgaze Did I say sony created cancer and world hunger? No, I said they edged SEGA, an actual video game developer and not an electronics manufacturer, out of the games industry as a console maker to become a third party software developer only, and in the process lost a very interesting and talented console game company for what? Tekken and Ridge Racer and some FMV sequences.
Any gamer out there worth their salt would probably rather have a Dreamcast 3 instead of a Playstation 4. So take your smart ass attitude somewhere else.

Companies like EA that are pro mobile and anti- handheld are the worst thing to happen to the videogame industry since the day Sony brought out the Playstation ( and thus edged SEGA out, the whole industry has been the worse for it, thanks Sony).

Whelp, I guess that's to be expected from the Japanese market. If they really wanted to shift Wii U consoles over there, they only need announce three games.
Pokemon.
Dragon Quest. (single player, offline)
Monster Hunter.

Just give me a SEGA version of Smash Bros and I'd be happy. Alex Kidd vs. Wonderboy vs. Ax Battler vs Altered Beast werewolf all fighting on a Panzer Dragoon stage with music from NiGHTS playing. Oh yeah!

Nomad commented on Fans Plan a Revival of Mega Man Legends 3:

Weird? I was just playing MegaMan X 2. It was a pity Legends 3 got canned, but at this point I'd welcome any new MegaMan game.
I'd like to see Capcom do a new 2D game for 3DS, but it seems Capcom are giving the blue bomber some time off.

Good! And stay it should. It's an absolutely brilliant controller. Why would anyone not like it? Some gamers just need to get with the times and move past those old fashioned traditional controllers. Long live the Gamepad!

It's been a long wait between Tropical Freeze and this. I hope the rest of the year isn't so barren. Still, quality over quantity and all that.

The timing of this Direct is certainly interesting. Why would Nintendo have a direct focused solely on Smash if it wasn't nearing completion? It wouldn't make much sense for them to dedicate that much time to one game when E3 is just around the corner. What more could they show of it at E3 or another Direct. I wouldn't be surprise to see this release third quarter.

There's got to be at least one new character right? If this direct is focused solely on Smash Bros., it's likely that there will be a fair bit of new information about it. Hopefully we will get a release date and new character reveals. I've got a feeling we will see the Wii U version released first. Just a guess.
