Sorry to go so off topic, but is it just me or does Sonic's left pupil look really weird in the title image? :O
I played the Sonic Classics Collection edition, but I never ended up finishing it, so I might have to try this out.

Nibelilt commented on First Impressions: Super Mario 3D World:

Actually, I get the vibe of the older Crash Bandicoot games from this. Not as zany, but from what I hear this game is focused on speed running and a mix between 2D and 3D - which is pretty similar to Crash Bandicoot 2 and 3 - and that's a good thing in my mind since I love those games. I hope that going fast rewards the player the same way as them. While I enjoyed it in 3D Land, I didn't really feel like I was given anything extra from doing it and that made me move onto other games...

Nibelilt commented on Iwata Issues Apology For Technical Difficultie...:

Well, when the NL servers broke, I missed a lot of the start :P
However, the official website worked fine for me. You pretty much had to use 240p though, kinda diminished the impact of the trailers.

Still, I'm really glad that Iwata even apologises about these problems. It's nice to know that he cares about us.

Nibelilt commented on Activision Bringing Skylanders Swap Force And ...:

I want Swap Force but I am very scared that they will make toys too frustrating to find where I live again. SPYRO'S ADVENTURE figures had more stock than Giants for me. That is not a compliment any place but Bizzaro Land. They are giving too much the US and not enough to other countries and they getting the game first now is a very visible red flag... As someone who collects all the figures including those dumb recoloured "Special" variants I don't know I can feel anything besides anger over this... Grrr...
They had better show a BUTTLOAD of information at E3. We have not had any news until the last two weeks... And no, that's not an exaggeration. In fact, said news composed of just leaks.

Nibelilt commented on Feature: The Humble Origins of Animal Crossing:

I think that Wild World helped it a lot. My dad and I can stand neither the GameCube nor Wii game because we don't have the chance to use the TV for games nearly as much. But we both love the DS games because Animal Crossing is just so much more suited to portable play. I'm looking forward to playing New Leaf and Skylanders with him. I wonder how we would react to a Wii U game with off-TV play.

Nibelilt commented on Thomas Was Alone Creator Responds To Nintendo ...:

I have to agree with #12 @Peach64. All of my thoughts about this were summed up in the second sentence of that comment so I didn't even bother reading below that. It isn't going to have an effect on me personally since I never do Let's Plays, but it's a shame since I was considering starting on it and the revenue would all have gone to better equipment.

Would Uprising or Luigi's Mansion 2 be amazing as they are without their delay?
I agree with @ToneDeath. I want to thank Nintendo as a whole, not just for giving us great experiences, but working so hard to make sure that they're actually great.
Forever trust in Nintendo! :)

Nibelilt commented on Mutant Mudds Developer Muses on Wii U Design:

I agree with him. Even though I like the name Wii U it confuses casual consumers. Personally, I think that GameCube purple would have been cool to contrast the green one as colours on the opposite of the spectrum! A metallic silver like the DS Phat would be a third option for people who want a less jump-out colour for their console.
And emeralds are my favourite, so I love greens, if that lime one had come out I would buy it cdhssjhdhwdcwhjhdebedcgdgerror:notimevalue
Ultimately, I would just like to see a console that has any easy way to switch shells a-la the GBA Micro. We already play games on our consoles lots, imagine the time you could have customising them to suit yourself! :) They could bundle several shells with it, and have an option to order more limited edition ones, plain coloured ones, and custom prints via Club Nintendo. It's just a dream... Sigh...

I think that this will be the best 2D platformer ever. I bought Origins for my 3DS last year, but Legends on the Wii U is even better and Origins is amazing in all aspects. I guess I'm going to buy Wii Origins as well now!

Nibelilt commented on These Screens Show What NES Games Would Be Lik...:

I prefer playing games for fun and to kick back, so I prefer to play less difficult ones.
However, the challenge of these games is a large part of their charm. I may play Skylanders, New Super Mario Bros. and Crash Bandicoot, but it doesn't mean that I don't see the appeal in or don't play games like NES Kid Icarus, Monster Hunter, and NES The Legend of Zelda or harder options of games in general.

Still, these screens are pretty accurate ;)

By the way, regarding tutorials... Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure on the 3DS has a pretty wonderful one. Besides loading dialogue, literally the only tutorial in the game is that you press Y for your first attack, X for secondary, and A to sprint, and you only see the buttons. The first level is actually fun to play, instead of being an unbearable hand holder just to show noobs how to play via boring cutscenes, and I wish that more games would do something similar. It's easy to figure out that Y is the attack button when the prompt is above an enemy and pressing it makes you attack...

Nibelilt commented on Nintendo Won't Be Holding A Large-Scale Press ...:

I'm with the people saying that this isn't really going to affect people who do follow Nintendo Direct, but will lose Nintendo potential attention from those who don't.
I think that Iwata may be trying to experiment with wether this affects them in a large enough scale to matter very much, but it's not really the wisest time to do that.
If it means even more epic Directs though, I'm fine with this choice as a gamer! ;)

Nibelilt commented on 3DS Disney Infinity Name And Details Revealed:

Aww man, that sort of makes me afraid... Party games tend to be the ones which are shovel ware, and considering that this is a companion of a much larger console game... It sounds like it has potential if they do it right, but I'm still very wary. At least it's something different I guess.
@Shiryu The console versions have TRON vehicles you can ride by using hex discs, though...

It makes the game accessible to more people, and is optional, so it can only be a good thing! This is my first Fire Emblem game, and I'm glad that they added Casual mode. :) I will play through Classic in the future.

Nibelilt commented on Rumour: Majora's Mask 3D Listed for November R...:

Well, they said that they wanted to do a remake of either ALTTP or MM... Now that we're getting a Link sequel, maybe this will hold water? I hope so, because I haven't played Majora's Mask yet!
@Trikeboy I'm pretty sure that Pokémon X and Y's mere announcement was the final nail for the Vita.
