NSFWHOS commented on New Super Smash Bros. Is a 'Big Priority' for ...:

@NintendoLand You have the correct premise, but what you're saying isn't true. Yes, if only one Namco character is in, it will be Pac-Man; not because people want him, but because he is Namco's mascot. I don't really want him, Lew3107 doesn't want him, and grimbldoo doesn't want him, and NintendoLife is a relatively small community, go figure. You say people selfishly want characters that are cool, and I agree, the only characters that should be in the game are ones relevant to Nintendo's success, but you go on to ask for Simon Belmont. He was on the NES Castlevania's, but where was Castlevania on Wii? A budget spin-off. Where is it on 3DS? A budget spin-off. Where is it on Wii U? It isn't. You can't say you think Castlevania is important in Nintendo's present or future, and it wasn't exactly a system seller on any of the past systems, you just think he's cool. And Konami already have a rep in Snake.

The only Namco character will be Pac-Man. I doubt Lloyd will make it; there's only two games he's in and the Tales series isn't as popular as Pac-Man. I doubt Nintendo want to be inundated with Namco characters; if there's a sequel and Namco don't work on it, will all their characters stay if there are a lot? IMO, the most likely 3rd party characters to be added are Mega Man; he's the most requested character, and he appeared in over 30 games on Nintendo systems (really, search it up). Isa; after Saki was in SSBB, everyone said he fit perfectly, and should've been playable, and Isa is the updated character from Sin & Punisment 2 (and Sin & Punishment is a Nintendo exclusive franchise). Professor Layton; he doesn't really fight, but he has one of Nintendo's most important portable franchises, and appeals to a wide range of people. And Rayman; Ubisoft's dedication to the Wii U could possibly be rewarded, Rayman is Ubisoft's mascot and has contributed to Nintendo consoles greatly. People asking for Ms Pac-Man, Pac-Man ghosts, Dig-Dug, Digimon, Klonoa, Katamari characters, or more SEGA and Konami characters, get over it, it won't happen. And the guy that wants a Power Ranger? SMH.

NSFWHOS commented on Super Smash Bros. Needs A 'Change of Direction':

@grimbldoo Yes, join the army against Pac-Man ;P But seriously, what can he do? Even since they gave him legs (which made me lose all respect for him), he still does nothing. SFxT gave him an unnecessary robot; add that to Smash Bros and I'm annoyed.
Lil Mac would be my new main, dude. Namco made Steve Fox in Tekken work, so his moves could sort of be moved onto Mac, but his Final Smash would have to still be the Star Punch. Tag team would prompt you to move away from the same characters, and could create new types of tournaments. I'm so hyped by what Namco can do, I just hope they get it right!

NSFWHOS commented on Super Smash Bros. Needs A 'Change of Direction':

It needs more modes. Board the platforms and race to the finish need to come back, and target smash, classic and all-star need to be randomized again. Also, I'd like a team battle like in Tekken Tag 1, where you can choose 5 characters to fight 5 others, and when a character dies, another is switched in 'til you run out.

As far as the roster goes, I'm happy at 45 max. I want Lucario & Toon Link gone, Ganondorf, Falco, Wolf & Lucas to have new movesets and Takamaru, Shulk, Little Mac, Matthew, Isa, Zoroark, Lloyd & Mega Man in. Oh, and no Miis and no more Mario or Zelda characters. Forget Rosalina, this isn't Mario Kart, we don't need more Toon clones, and Ghirahim is dead. I have a hunch Miis would have preset moves, which would just be lame. And God, please no Pac-Man!

Finally, online. I want online to have the HUD of Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 - something Namco Bandai worked on - where you have a little fighter card with a username, Win to Loss ratio, KO to Falls ratio and a disconnection rate, maybe even info on whether or not they're frequent spammers etc. It needs to have Singles, Handicap, Doubles & Free for All battle modes, all in either time, stock or coin modes, along with maybe the team idea I wrote further up, and all should be able to be played with friends or strangers. Online co-op adventure, boss battle, home-run contest, challenge & multi man modes wouldn't be bad with friends either. I'm not bothered about spectator mode, it was nice, but if it doesn't return I wouldn't complain. Lastly, it needs voice chat with friends! And fix the connection speeds, dammit!

NSFWHOS commented on You Can Transfer Wii VC Games to Wii U:

First a black Wii U, then Pikmin 3 and New Super Mario Bros.U, and now this? This is nice! But, one last thing, will gamecube games be uploaded to the virtual console? I can't live knowing I won't be able to play F-Zero GX, Melee and Mario Sunshine again.

NSFWHOS commented on E3 2012: Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Stands Alone ...:

James, you might wanna alter the article; Heihachi is fighting Kazuya Mishima, not Jin Kazama.
I agree with your premise, though, there isn't many fighting games going around, maybe because TTT2 just so happens to be coming out now so Namco decided to port it to Wii U. I believe that when a new Street Fighter, King of Fighters, Guilty Gear, BlazBlue or DarkStalkers comes out, it will be released on the Wii U as well; it's just a matter of time.
